  1. NICE! tim I really have to give you some respect. I remember when this site first started up...Now look at it. It's evolved to an "Official" site, so to speak. Congrats, man.
  2. Yea that was on his last album..had a parody of Lose Yourself on their too...
  3. Calm down AJ... That site has a bucnh of Random Beat Boxers, and Freestyles and all that. it doesn't list it as being on the album. Dude might not have even known it was on that album. not everyone is lucky enough to own every album, and not everyone is capable of buying every album.. Cut him some slack, he didn't know....
  4. What if, Hypothetically, Oprah was the type who liked hard Agressive Music, with Cursing and all that mess? What if Will Smith was on to promote a Movie? would it be right for her, to shut him down, because she didn't like what he was portraying in his music, even though that's not even why he's on the show? Hell No it wouldn't be right. Same situation, opposite side.
  5. Exactly...She shouldn't HAVE to have him..But he was there. So she shouldn't show him disrespect. It's not his fualt he was asked to be there, and that Oprah did nothing about it.
  6. Treating a grown man like a 5 year old, and completely ignoring him and putting him down because you don't like his lyrics? come on now. Ludacris is a educated man too. He gave a lot back to the community, graduated from college, tries to help those in need, and to me, comes off as a real nice, positive dude to his fans.. Dudes done a lot. Let's not disresopect him because you can't take a little cursing...
  7. Yea aries Spears is amazing. Damn Hilarious too. You ever see him do his Shaq Impersonations on madTV? Funny stuff.
  8. It probably is the Aries Spears thing. i know a real old Aries spears skit resu=rfaced on a recent Gunit mixtape. So they might have done the same thing here.
  9. Dipset - I Really Mean It. Just Blaze never ceases to amaze me.
  10. You trying to tell me that the Lakers are a top 2 Team? Do you need some rest Man? :lolsign:
  11. I'm tired of beats like "Wait" and all that. A si mple drum pattern i can whip up in 2 seconds. Yet that producer is getting paid royally, and getting fame..off what. Same guy produced "Play" By David Banner. Dman beats are identical with 1 small exception. no one tries anymore, and it's real frustrating.
  12. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2268593 Colts Head Coach. He'll be leaving the team for a while. It's ashame. Dungy and the Colt's we're having such an amazing year. They're top Superbowl Contendors, and Christmas is only 4 Days away...Amazing how you can be so high, and in one quick flash, find yourself at the bottom, emotionally. Thoughts and Prayers go out to the family.
  13. Sampling isn't stealingf though. take it from a producer, and i'm sure a lot of other producers i know would agree...The sounds in thos old classics are hard to immitate. it's justs t adifferent sound, and a different flavour....If we pay for the sample, I don't see how it's "Stealing",. or "NOT making my own worK"...It still is my own art, considering what you do to the sample. you don't just play the song, and add drums. you cut the sample, change things around, add stuff. it's a whole process.
  14. well, most up and comers don'thave the money to clear a sample. 5 Bucks isn't going to cut out. If you're signed to a label, and they're distributing your album, they'll try and help you with getting samples cleared. yes you'll eventually have to pay it back, but after you earn you fit, and have enough. Like right now, if anything, i'll sample something, then sell my mixtapes on the street...Does it really seem necessary for me to clear the sample? Like I said, the profit margin is SLIM. I'm not mainly doing it for the money, but just to get my name out, and show them what i can do. Like when Kanye started. I doubt He cleard that "Can't Be Life" sample, before giving it to Jay Z. He sold it, and odds are, ROC cleared it before putting it on the album.
  15. Well I mean, if he changes every word, all he's really doing is immitating flow...I can see how the original artist could get upset, but in court, he'd probably take that one. I mean it's like Gwen stefani singing her verses on hollaback girl, like Biggie did(damn, name of his song slips my mind...even the lyrics i just remember "**** em all day, **** em all night, we don't love them ***s")...If he we're alive, i don't think he'd care.
  16. The difference is, They'll be making Millions off the track, while I'll only be making the 3-5 Bucks per, I charge on the mixtape. And that's not much profit, between the cost of the CDs and Inserts.
  17. No I thought he meant, lets say I sample a harold melvin track, for a beat, and then someone Flows over it, and I put it on the Mixtape. Now I don't clear the HM smaple, but I'm just making the CDs with my computer, and selling them outside malls...I doubt they'll care, that I used the sample.
  18. Mixtapes are kind of an iffy area, though. for the most part, no one does.
  19. It's not a direct smple though, it's vocal interpolation.. Meaning Will re-rapped the lyrics, not sampled from the original F5 song.
  20. Sorry, just had to voice my opinion there.
  21. Some people believe, some don't. We can't even prove who is right or wrong, so lets not down each others opinions. you don't believe...god for you, you believe, again good for you. I myself, believe..doesn't mean everyone in the world has to. Lerkot, you don't believe..doesn't mean everyone is a fool for believing in a higher power.
  22. That entire biggie song was about pushing and selling crack. Thats what hhe didn't like. Jay Z Doesn't always rap about that stuff.
  23. Is that the video with "raindrop?" that stuff was horrible. So horrible that it was hilarious.
