  1. I have never seen the long version of the trailor until 2nite. I waz hanging out in movie theater lobby waiting 4 a group of my friends 2 get out of Phantom of The Opera (which most of them really liked). While i waz there, i watched the trailors they had on the plasma screens they had in the lobby. As i sat there watching the Hitch trailor, and laughing out-loud. Everyone else in the theater stopped what they were doing and stopped talking 2 watch it. I'm dead serious, EVERY SINGLE PERSON stopped 2 watch it...which they didn't do 4 any of the other trailors (and i waz sitting there 4 awhile). People were laughing out-loud with me and alot of them walked by me saying "we definitly have 2 see that." These people were of all ages 2. Why i'm not gonna be surprised, it looks like FP is gonna have another HUGE hit on his hands. I can't wait 2 see how people react 2 this movie and how it dose. I havn't looked forward 2 a movie this way in a long time. I'm the kinda guy who likes 2 specialize in knowing about relationships and the oppisite sex (and i'm usually right), so this movie is right up my ally.
  2. JENNIFER LOPEZ - Get Right I love this track...the horn can be a bit much depending on my mood...but i really this song. The video is great 2...she is so fine. Every second of her is like eye candy...i feel my eyes rotting right now.
  3. I listened 2 the album 2day. I think about 5 of the trax had nice beats. But they aren't really that incredible. U can find better work on Talib Kweli's album. His lyrics are boring, stupid, and pointless 4 the most part. 1 of the songs had lyrics i really liked...but then he said something stupid and it made me skip 2 the next track. When it comes 2 commercial rap, u CAN judge a book by it's cover.
  4. Just a reminder...the sale 4 this item ends 2day!! (Saturday) Go pick a compilation of some Hip-Hop classics for a crazy price!!
  5. That is so cool...i'd love 2 see some of those shows. JJ+FP is likely 2 get tacked on since they have tight ties AND cuz JJ+FP did shows with most of those acts b4.
  6. Apparently none of u saw my post on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air board yesterday. :dunno:
  7. On the new 1996 episode, they talked about Busta Rhymes "Woo-Hah! Got You All In Check." Jeff commented saying "There is no reason for a white person to every say that...unless they are riding a horse." They then cut 2 footage of white guys saying it and whoever waz offended by him saying that then knew what he waz talking about. Later in the episode they focused on the violence in Rap music and the east coast / west coast fueds. Jeff commented on the result of it being the loss of 2pac + Biggie. Then some tasteless jokes came. It finished with some 40-something white guy saying that 2Pac would have probably disliked that fact that he, a old white guy who waz balding liked him...making him subject 2 be uncool. He then said "what about that Will Smith?"
  8. I know what Tim is saying, and i agree with him. I'm white, i have been all my life. But skin color has nothing 2 do with where u come from, what your tastes are, or anything like that. But lets be real. When it comes 2 mainstream and commercial Hip-Hop/Rap, it tends 2 be young white kids from the suburbs. It's fact...nothing 4 anyone 2 get offended about. They don't know what real Hip-Hop is cuz they've never been exposed 2 it. They also don't know how street life really is. I waz blessed 2 grow up in both an upperclass enviornment and a very hood upbringing. I wouldn't have it any other way cuz there is bits and peices of each lifestyle that made me who i am 2day. When some 12 year old kid hears their favorite rapper say somethings, they don't know that street life isn't always or exactly that way. They also don't know that their "hero" is a money-grubbing phoney. When i look at my friends, who are of all ages and all backgrounds, the only ones that buy Eminem's album are people who have no knowledge of real Hip-Hop music and they aren't exclusively Hip-Hop fans....they like everything on the radio. I work at the mall, and when i stand up in the front of the store and people-watch, i only see white kids between the ages of 10 and 15 waring G-Unit clothing. I shake my head and laff at them, cuz Lord knows that if they stepped in2 the REAL streets, they'd be scared 2 death. The people who put the majority of commerical rap artists on the top of the charts are young white kids with no real knowlege of the streets or real Hip-Hop music. That's the way it's been since the mid/late 90's. If u are offended by what i'm saying, then u simply don't understand me, or i'm calling u out cuz u trying 2 be something u are not. p.s. yes, that 2nd sentence in this post is a joke.
  9. People in this world amaze me. I hope that guy comes across the same racism that he served out 2 her times 100. Stuff like that is in God's hands.
  10. It'll have been snowing for like 20 hours b4 i even would leave. That could be alot of snow b4 i even get in the car. We'll see. I'm having a real bad week. So while something like this could be alot of fun, i don't even have alot of motivation 4 it. I've seen Jeff 2 times already, i really wanna go, but i'm just gonna leave it 2 the weather.
  11. Hip-Hop culture isn't limited 2 only one way of living. Different music is 4 different people. It's the rappers who make music that dosen't really mean anything that kills me. The music that's just fantasy with no ties 2 real life or anything worth listening 2 is a waste of a record deal...which is a category that is very full right now.
  12. There's a difference between discussing and issue and calling 4 change and just talking about the same stuff over and over again. These commercial fools just talk about stuff but they don't make it sound like something that needs 2 change and they don't offer a plan 2 fix things. When artists like 2Pac talked about stuff like that, they are saying "this ain't right" and "this is what we gotta do 2 change this." People like Game seem 2 just talk about that stuff 2 make themselves sound hard and like they come from places that they often don't. I'm gonna go 2 a music store 2nite so i'll give his full album a listen, but i'm not expecting much. Once again, Nick Cannon got called out. He may not be what some people want, but he's got lots of substance on his album. People who haven't heard it wouldn't know that...which just shows how much i can respect their opinion.
  13. More like they ain't goin' anywhere when it comes 2 artistic direction. Listening 2... USHER - Seduction Makes me wanna go out and scoop up a huney.
  14. U shouldn't be the one buggin' out about people putting words in other people's mouths. Look at your history of posts. All u do is put words in2 the mouths of people who disagree with your childish taste in commercial rap music.
  15. Someone posted this a few years ago. I don't watch SNL either so i've never seen it.
  16. Ahhh...they are calling for 8-24 inches of snow that is gonna start Friday afternoon and continue thru' Saturday...the day of the party. So it's looking unlikely that i'm gonna drive about 5 hours in snow there and 5 hours back.
  17. Yeah, we been talking about this on the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air/TV board. Jazzy Jeff comments a lil' on every episode i've seen (92-95). This is the 2nd of the 3 "I Love The 90's" installments. It'll be funny 2 see if Jeff turns in2 one of those funny VH-1 regulars on these shows.
  18. Yeah, it's one of those albums i pop in once a year and beat myself up 4 4getting how dope the album is. Everytime i pop it in, it takes me right back 2 1996. Do u know if he did any other videos for it other than "No." Right now i'm listening 2 GUERILLA BLACK + MARIO WINANS "You're The One." I clowned Guerilla Black for being a Notorious B.I.G. rip-off...but this song is dope. He isn't jacking Biggie's style 2 much on this one, but he still sounds like him.
  19. I've seen every episode except for 1990 (and maybe 1991)...Jazzy Jeff is on every episode i think. The few things i remember him talking about waz William Shatner paintballing and Shaggy's "Boombastic." He did a hilarious but weak impression going "Mr lova love......hmmmmmmm." When they talked about Montell Jodran's single "This Is How We Do It," he said he went 2 visit his mom and she waz singing and dancing 2 it...which made him uncomfortable.
  20. This Saturday, BET is having a Fresh Prince-athon. It starts at 9 a.m. and they are airing 9 hours of episodes back 2 back. Check it!!
  21. lambert thinks anyone who speaks there mind and dosen't like Eminem and G-Unit is hilarious. I guess he finds are advanced look on Hip-Hop strange and low-tolerance 4 trash funny.
