  1. I had a feeling it may already be there....but i hadn't read that post yet and i'm sure other people are gonna have 2 see it in a post title 2 draw attention 2 it. I don't catching all the promotion stuff if it's put all 2gether in 1 post...there's 2 muc 2 follow and so many differnet countries getting that stuff. She also has a 1-page article in last Sunday's Parade Magazine.
  2. AMBER - Sexual (Li La Di) Everyone needs a lil' club music in their life form time 2 time.
  3. We live in a time where the media can say whatever they want...and in a time when people believe anything they are told...which is a dangerous combination. These days u are guilty before proven innocent.
  4. This Thursday, Eva, from Hitch will be on The Late Show with David Letterman. Don't miss it!!
  5. I just gave the song a listen...it's actually HER version of Jill Scott's song of the same title but with a gospel twist.
  6. C'mon y'all. The fact that they are new means they haven't gotten 2 check out all the posts yet....so CHILL. Let them settle in...don't criticize them for being new.
  7. Depending on the version u've heard...one of them has audio that skips...which sounds like an edit...but it's really just the audio skipping.
  8. Yeah, i've seen that b4. I've nearly got JJ+FP shirts a few times but i really want them 2 be mint condition and extra large (even tho' i doubt i'd wear it other than 2 a JJ+FP show).
  9. If u are gonna go with a female R-N-B group...use TLC, not Destiny's Child.
  10. LAUREA - Superstar Classic one-hit wondering single from 1997. Features production from Speech and Raphael Saddiq!!
  11. I think it is. Look at Tamia, she relased her single "Officially Missing You" in the summer of 2003...her album didn't come out til summer of 2004. Usher dropped "Yeah" in Nov/Dec 2003, the album didn't come out til March 2004...and his album turned in2 a monster. This way they'll have time 2 deside how they'll handle promotion.
  12. They don't really release singles here in the US anymore. We get more import singles than US singles these days. Most US fans don't even know that singles come out anymore...so singles are pretty pointless here in the US. Besides, commercial fans will ONLY buy the singles and not the album.
  13. Welcome 2 the board!! Tell us about your history as fan....or are u new 2 this.
  14. Same here...i grew up on him. He's pretty much the only artist i really followed b4 i got in2 Hip-Hop. Reguardless that i'm a long-time fan, i really don't think he is like that. He's the most famous person in the world and thru' all his success and talent, people are gonna wanna try 2 pull him down. As very original individual who allows himself 2 associate with kids, many of them on a slow path 2 Heaven, he makes himself an easy target for stuff like this. I think he knows that, but that he finds so much joy in what he dose that he dosen't care. Otherwise he's just a rich guy who stays in his house with his kids all day.
  15. The UMC'S - What's Up I thought these guys only had 1 album back from 1991....but i found an album they dropped in 1994 2day. Some of it is very Code Reddish...but then they disappointed me cuz they also started getting a lil' explicit.
  16. That's cool!! Outta curiosity, did they play it on a Hip-Hop/R-N-B station or Top 40 station?
  17. It depends. If the song is HUGE still as the album drops, he might not need another single. Look at Usher's "Yeah"....they timed that perfectly that as his fans got sick of that song, "Burn" came out. But commercial fans were still lovin' "Yeah." 2 me, it depends on success and timing. I don't really care 2 see a remix video, but since there is news that they did it...bring it on after a month or so of success.
  18. BLAQUE - I'm Good Man, they were such a great group. Yet another group that got screwed by Sony...why on earth did they break up?!?!?
  19. I don't know why everyone wants 2 compare "Switch" 2 "Headsprung." I think "Headsprung" is the better song. "Headsprung" is the personification of a club banger and i never heard anyone knock the song. "Switch" is ill, and while it'll be welcomed in the clubs, it's not just a club banger...it's a party track, it's got a bit of an island feel in the drums, it's not overly aggressive. Comparing the songs seems irrelevant 2 me.
  20. 2day i waz CD digging and found gospel artist, Karen Clark-Sheard's 2003 album The Heavens Are Calling. There's a song on there called "You Loved Me" which is waz written by Jill Scott and Keith Pelzer. Keith Pelzer is the former ATOJ producer who worked on trax like Don't Say Nothing, I Loved You, La Fiesta, etc. It's a live performance cut which makes me wanna find out of there is a studio version of the song. Even tho' Keith no longer worked for ATOJ at the time, the track still has ATOJ publishing credits. Just thought i'd share.
  21. Don't u mean DJ Jazzy Jeff feat. Slum Village!?! Right now i'm listening 2 the late-90's R-N-B smash DIVINE - Lately (1997) p.s. Yo Tim! Ladybug Mecca drops a rap on the 1st track of their album!!
  22. Yeah, if u aren't gonna post once in a while....what's the point of registering. Tim, if u have the ability 2 send e-mails 2 everyone registered at the site, u should do that talking about the new album, Hitch, and the 1st season of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air coming out. U can also welcome them 2 check the updates on the site and take part in the message board.
  23. Thanx 4 the update!! I'm glad it's gonna be on 4 single-sided DVDs. I hate double sided DVDs....the chance u are gonna scratch a DVD is doubled that way. I like the new packaging alot better....bring it on!!
  24. Yeah, one things that i love about "Switch" is that FP seems very comfortable on the track. He just seems at home lyrically and flowwise.
