Will Smith Live In Concert: Post Your Reviews
JumpinJack AJ replied to fan 4ever's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
Other than us...how many people do u think would actually buy this DVD tho'? I think thousands more people will be getting this DVD now becuz it comes as a bonus offer. Hip-Hop/Rap DVDs don't usually sell much. The only ones that sell a lil' bit are people like Eminem...and most of his fans now don't know the 1st thing about real Hip-Hop. I think the Concert DVD would have just been ignored outside their main fanbase. I think that if Lost + Found dose well, there will be a "Lost + Found" DVD with the videos and everything...maybe even this concert. -
Yeah, i'm living proof that if u want something bad enuff, keep a positive attitude no matter what, and work hard at it...even when it seems like u are working your butt off 4 something that is no guarenteed, things will happen. I still don't know what i wanna do 4 the rest of my life, but this job will give me exactly what i need in the meantime. I used 2 wanna be an emcee, but i don't write 2 much anymore, then i wanted 2 act, but i'm totally secure on just doing local theater rather than "chasing a dream." i think i just really wanna live a nice, chilled life while doing whatever i wanna when i'm not on the clock. Just stay positive, work hard, and expect what u want 2 come 2 pass. U gotta plant seeds in life and make deposits in other people's lives 2 see your own blossom.

I don't think it should be available by it self. Think of it this way. Nearly every music fan would buy Hitch anyway. But how many fans of the movie Hitch would go out and get the JJ+FP live DVD? I would call this smart promotion if u ask me. -

I'm saying that the whole Wal-Mart thing isn't a reason 2 complain so much. But i agree that it needs 2 be available 4 everyone. That's what the internet is 4...so get busy!! -
They still play Eminem's videos, they just haven't aired "Just Lose It."

People need 2 stop complaining about the whole Wal-Mart thing and just shut up and buy it. This is a 50 minute JJ+FP concert!! None of us ever saw this coming until we heard the news. The DVD is amazing, and all y'all can do is complain about it being released thru' Wal-Mart?!? It's called promoting and marketing. Wal-Mart is one of the biggest companies in the world, which waz a smart movie by Overbrook becuz now that JJ+FP DVD is widely available 2 fans and people who will become fans after watching it. Nuff said. -
I think the remix is blazing. The dancehall fans and the club fans are gonna eat this up.

DJ JAZZY JEFF + FRESH PRINCE "Live Capital Radio Session 1987"

I just wanna thank everyone 4 the support. Tho' i miss him so bad, there is a strong sense of peace within me and my family. Anyways, on a not-so-related note, i wanna shout out something that just happened 2day that is an answered prayer. A year ago, due 2 me age, i waz taken off my parents insurance (so basically, my insurance plan waz just not getting sick...ha ha). Anyways, after a year of praying, hoping, and making and breaking myself in2 the kind of employee i am, i'm getting knocked up 2 the senior manager at my job (2nd in charge) which leads 2 a raise, full time hours, benifits, insurance, and big bonuses. I love my job and now i get all the things i really need. This will also lead 2 me getting outta debt, finally getting my own place, and later, a new car. Why i didn't ask 4 prayer support on this board (other than 2 3Cookies personally), i did ask my close friends and this event is the perfect example of what the power of prayer and hard work can lead 2.

They released the Reggae Remix 2 radio back in April. Just not as widely as the released the regular version. This is the 1st time i've heard anyone say they heard it on the radio tho.

Eddie Murphy Set to Sing in 'Dreamgirls'
JumpinJack AJ replied to bigted's topic in Caught in the Middle
Ha ha....one day i'll own Eddie's song "Party All The Time" w/ Rick James...ha ha!! On the real, i like that song Eddie did with MJ in 1992 or 1993 called "What's Up With You." Of course it wazn't really becuz of Eddie Murphy tho.' -
Yeah, about half of the movie goes in2 great depth about how he came 2 be Batman. The Scarecrow is the villian in this one, but he's not the main focus and he dosen't take on the actual comic book appearance of him either (other than the mask). I kinda wanted a lil' more comic book influence in that aspect.

I hate labeling and stereotyping. It's just silly. I watch BET regularly. In fact, when i turn on the TV, it's usually the 1st channel i go 2. BET is just a TV programming that related strongly 2 what you can call black culture. Think about it, it has music videos, comedy, news, etc...like any other network, it's just that all those things are focusing more on black entertainers. I think BET is actually one of the best networks on TV. It's one of the only stations i can watch EVERYTHING on it. A study waz done back in the 90's about which music-related channels where the most tasteful, and BET waz at the top, beating out MTV, VH-1, The Box, and whatever else there is. I know other white people who watch BET on a regular basis (who aren't fake gangstas...ha ha). Entertainment is entertainment....period. If u watch 106 + Park, u'll notice that tons of white people come 2 see the show now.

BLACK EYED PEAS - Monkey Business...da full album

I saw it 2nite. It's a great movie. When the movie is over, it feels like u just got off a rollercoaster ride. I don't know if i like this one better than the 1989 Batman movie tho.'
-
Yeah, the album is great. I'm so glad 2 see her on top again.

No, they aren't gonna release a season of a music video show. Since it's they just aired music videos with interviews in between, they can't just put all that copyrighted stuff on a DVD. They should do some kinda release 4 the show loaded with hours of highlights and interviews. Yo! MTV Raps waz a big part of me growing up. Fab Five Freddie brought the substance, and Doctor Dre + Ed Lover were totally entertaining. It waz the show 2 watch 2 stay current on Hip-Hop and Rap. Every single weekend we'd get the fellaz 2gether and watch it all nite long.

From MTV News: DESTINY'S CHILD SPLIT UP!
JumpinJack AJ replied to TopDawg14's topic in Caught in the Middle
Yeah, but look at the Fugges. Pras had 1 real hit...his new single hasn't been heard in the US at all. Lauryn Hill changed the game, then disappeared. Her live album didn't do much and even tho' she released a new video awhile ago, it never got played. While Wyclef dose consitently good, each of his albums have gotten less attention. I didn't even see a video 4 his most recent one. I'm glad 2 hear they are reuniting, but i'm wondering how long it's gonna take. A Tribe Called Quest 2. They released a new song last summer, but no news on them since. Phife's album flopped, Ali Shaheed's album is totally unknown, Lucy Pearl are making themselves out 2 be 1 hit wonders, and Q-Tip had success with his solo album, but his 2nd got shelved. -
Will Smith Live In Concert: Post Your Reviews
JumpinJack AJ replied to fan 4ever's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
Jim, Wal-Mart definitly has the Will Smith featuring DJ Jazzy Jeff: Live In Concert DVD. Look around the front of the store where they have random displays. There will be a Hitch one with mostly the regular version, but they should have a bunch of double packs with the JJ+FP DVD packaged with it. If not, got 2 another location. U don't wanna not have this...TRUST ME!!
