JJ+FP - Urban Music Festival Set (April 16, 2005)

Alright, we all know we can't expect 2 ever get that full "I Wish I Made That (DJ Jazzy Jeff Remix)" that Jeff did nearly a year ago. However, we all know that he can use his myspace page 2 put up whatever he wants. He put up "Are U Ready" for download when Jay Dee passed away. He put up the beat he put 2gether a few weeks ago. I think that every single one of us who are on myspace should leave him a comment on the same day saying "We want that "I Wish I Made That (DJ Jazzy Jeff Remix)." Think about it. If roughly 20 people are requesting it, he may put it up for download even if it's just 4 a few days. HOWEVER, if we deside 2 do it, i think we should all agree on a day so that everyone can contribute. This will also allow those who aren't "Friends" of Jeff's 2 request him AND for those who want 2 set up accounts 2 do so in time. Let me know what u think.

Thanx 4 that!! I dont like that there's a guest artist on every track. But at least personally, i only don't really like 3 of them. I saw the "Control Myself" video when he premiered it on 106 + Park the other day. I love it. It's just a fun, flashy video with loads of artistic special efx. It's definitly something new for the clubs and the radio. Promo singles for "Control Myself" and "We're Gonna Make It" are already floating around. When he waz on 106 + Park, they talked about his history with fueds on wax. He said these days that he wants 2 be creative and not competitive....which i totally respect. I can't wait 4 this album 2 drop!!

Well, this isn't Run-DMC. It's ironic that he had one of the strongest voices in Hip-Hop...it's crazy that he's lost alot of that power. But it isn't how loud u say it...it's what u are saying. While i'm not sure what 2 expect on this new album, i'm glad he hasn't stayed in the traditional Run-DMC fashion. I love Run's album, but i'm kinda disappointed that it's just an extention of what Run-DMC did. DMC has embraced the change in his voice, the change in Hip-Hop, and what's in his heart. Even if i wazn't ready 2 pick up this album, i'd still respect it. I think it's unfair 2 hold the Run-DMC standards 2 this solo album. I'm real happy that Run is on the album tho.' I'm real excited about that. On a slightly unrelated note, DMC is feeling one of the new groups i've really gotten in2. The "rediculous rap" Hip-Hop group Loose Cannons gets alot of support on this one radio station. DMC waz stopping by that radio station 2 do an interview. They played him a Loose Cannon's song and he waz feeling it. Apparently it got stuck in his head and he waz singing it in the elevador of the radio station building.

I agree. I've been a fan of Busta Rhymes since 1991. I waz 11 years old and saw Leaders of The New School on TV. My older cousin boaght their tape and i fell in love with their style. Nowadays, i'm grown and i respect what he does. He's one of the only emcees with commercial success. There is no excuse for him to be keeping this information from the police. I don't care about the code of not talking 2 cops. This man who had a family waz killed while protecting Busta. If he doesn't step up soon, i'm gonna loose alot of respect 4 him.

That Season 2 sale price ends Saturday. Be sure 2 get it ASAP if u don't already have it. I'm pretty sure they never sold Season 1 for that price, so there is no guarentee that Season 3 will get that low a few months down the road. I already had Season 2, but Aqua Teen Hunger Force Volume 4 is also only $15.99...ha ha. I had 2 pick that up.

This is ill. It gets a lil' busy on the vocals/vocal samples/scratches in a few spots...but it's ill. I love this. Keep up the amazing work.

Viber, 2 answer your ?uestion. The Greatest Hits video has the Ring My Bell, Boom! Shake The Room, I'm Looking For The One (To Be With Me) and I Wanna Rock videos which aren't on the "Summertime..." video. Summertime: And Other Hits came out in 1991, which is of course why those other videos aren't on it. All of the "Summertime: Behind The Scenes" stuff is thrown 2gether on the GH video. On the Summertime video, it's intertwined around the other videos, making a real nice package. The GH video has some behind the scenes stuff that isn't on the GH video...and vice versa. If u can get both, do it.

Wow, that's a real big sucker move. I don't care how bad their relationship is...that DVD is just wrong. R. Kelly might have his own issues, or at least had them. But his brother isn't any better for this. I have a feeling alot of it is made up.

Yeah, that guy waz imitating FP's loud laugh and dumb dancin.' Funny stuff. They had a short skit where he played FP and for some reason someone punched him. I totally 4get the plot...but it waz funny 2.

I love "Watchtower." I can't wait 2 check the album. I like this joint more than most of the stuff on Run's album. "Machine Gun" i'm not feeling 2 much. I love the old school simplicity and the way he's mixing different styles. This is definitly Hip-Hop for those who have grown up on it since the 80's. The pix are dope...and i love the album cover!! Run-DMC just dosen't age.

I don't think y'all are getting my point. Just cuz it's available one Amazon dosen't really mean much. We are using "Tell Me Why" as a promotional tool...not just 2 share with the board. If the video isn't going 2 be made/put out. Then we can put it out on the internet. We are making it 4 people who normally wouldn't be checking 4 it....meaning they'd never consider buying this online.
