Master P to reach out to Will Smith
JumpinJack AJ replied to bigted's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
U have raised your kids well...ha ha. Yeah, i don't doubt Master P growing up. Even if i don't appriciate an artist's musics, i totally respect ideas like this....providing it truely is coming from their heart and not a PR move. Seems like every one is calling 4 a change which is great, even tho' we could have used it 10 years ago. -
Master P to reach out to Will Smith
JumpinJack AJ replied to bigted's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
This is the most respectable, mature, and articulate thing Master P has ever done. His music is awful, but i respect what he's doing here. I think it's kinda strange that someone like Master P is "reaching" out to FP, Latifah, and Run since he doesn't make music like them. Great idea tho' and hopefully it's one of the steps taken that changes the game. And hopefully it serves as inspiration to get the 3 of them in the studio with new albums. -
WHITNEY HOUSTON: The Good, The Bad & The Ugly Posted May 21st 2007 9:45AM by Karu F. Daniels Filed under: Entertainment Newswire By Karu F. Daniels, AOL Black Voices What's really going on with Whitney Houston? Said to be on the comeback trail, the Grammy Award winning diva is back in the news again -- in good ways, and bad. Last week, the former top-charting chanteuse was made headlines. And she also made head turns, as well. According to 'Fox News' gossip guru Roger Friedman, sources said that the 'I Will Always Love You' singer looking "stoned" at Stevie Wonder's lavish 57th birthday celebration during the star studded opening of The Cove in The Bahamas. But a record label source dismissed that talk. "Whitney ... is straight as an arrow, not doing drugs and working hard in the studio. That's the word from her record company Monday in response to my weekend report," Friedman wrote two days later. Okay. Back at the ranch, her ex-husband Bobby Brown filed papers in California's Orange County Superior Court recently challenging the terms of his April 24 divorce. According to 'MTV News,' the former pop star turned reality TV personality is claiming he was distraught, depressed and so strapped for cash at the time that he couldn't afford a lawyer. He's now specifically trying to contest a judge's decision to grant physical and legal custody of the pair's 14-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina, to his ex-wife. 'Access Hollywood' obtained papers that support Brown claims. The documents reportedly claim that "Whitney repeatedly assured Bobby that he need not file a response and that reconciliation was possible," and that "Whitney did so at a time when she knew that Bobby was particularly vulnerable." A June 15 court date has been set for Brown's new case. And while Whitney is done with Bobby, Verizon is officially done with Akon. But she said to be ready to make musical magic with the Senagelese singing sensation -- even after the telecommunications giant dropped him as a spokesperson (thanks to the internet footage of him in a comprising position with a minor.) The 'Locked Up' crooner has reportedly signed on to write and produce material for her big comeback project. According to 'Billboard,' Akon says the songs will most likely represent everything she's been through over the years, as well as where she is now in her life. The album, which may feature collaborations with Ne-Yo, Diane Warren, R. Kelly, Jermaine Dupri, Jennifer Hudson and Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, is expected to be released later this year.

I'll have 2 check this. After 2000, i waz pretty done with Eminem. His music and his status of an artist have totally changed. The quality totally disappeared. When i hear this, i'll probably remind me of when i waz excited 2 hear his music and proudly called myself a fan.

WACKEST HIP-HOP SONGS OF ALL TIME
JumpinJack AJ replied to JumpinJack AJ's topic in Caught in the Middle
If that's how u wanna look at it. But just because a group, an album, or a song gets popular, it doesn't mean a legit artist all of a sudden is commercial. I'm not saying that it hasn't happened (example; Eminem). But just cuz Common Sense and Talib Kweli get video spins on MTV doen't mean they go from credible Hip-Hop artists to the status of 50 Cent. That idea is straight ignorance. -

"Gettin' Jiggy Wit It" question
JumpinJack AJ replied to esanchez's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
The only released So So Def Remix of "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It" i mentioned above. Just a nice mainstream slick Hip-Hop beat. FP is the only person rhyming on it and one of the girls from Xscape sings on the hook (LaTocha i think). Pete Gunz + Lord Tariq are credited with ad libs, but they were taken out, as u can't hear them on the song at all. The other is the grittier remix u just found, feauring a new verse from FP along with the appearnces from Cam'ron, Big Pun, R.O.C. and Jermaine Dupri. Those are the only So So Def Remixes. -
DJ JAZZY JEFF - My Soul's Not For Sale (Instrumental) Jeff N Fess / My Soul's Not For Sale Promo CD (2007)

While i waz looking thru' the old street team sites me and Wes used 2 do, i found this part in the discography of the Born To Reign one (http://www.geocites.com/willsmith_borntoreign). So these are the songs that FP co-wrote for 2 Too Many's album. Where's The Party? (2 TOO MANY) 1992 My Imagination (2 TOO MANY) 1992 Rumors (2 TOO MANY) 1992 Call Me (2 TOO MANY) 1992

JJ+FP - U Saw My Blinker (Lynn Tolliver's Radio Edit) U Saw My Blinker CD Promo (1992) Yes, the infamous album version that happens 2 be named after a guy who just played the B word backwards and took a few lyrics out, getting the Radio Edit named after them making the fans thinking it could be a remix only 2 get disappointed when they hear it....no, i'm not bitter after all these years.

"Gettin' Jiggy Wit It" question
JumpinJack AJ replied to esanchez's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
With all u guys who are on iTunes, u didn't notice they put that remix up!??!?!? That's crazy!! esanchez, i thought u were talking about the So So Def Remix available on import versions of the single...which is just FP's regular raps over a slicker more So So Def kinda beat with one of the girls from Xscape on the hook. The remix featuring Jermaine Durpi, Cam'ron, R.O.C., and Big Pun waz never commercially released or even on promos. It popped up on a Kayslay mixtape back in '97 and that's it...meaning a white lable of it had 2 be leaking around. Over the years none of us could ever find it. So if it has popped up on iTunes, this is a real gem. That remix is excellent. But i highly doubt a mastered version with edited lyrics ever left the studio. -

WACKEST HIP-HOP SONGS OF ALL TIME
JumpinJack AJ replied to JumpinJack AJ's topic in Caught in the Middle
If i think something is wack..and chose 2 diagnose it as wack...this cuz i simply don't like. To be a "hater" i believe their has 2 be angry, bitter, and/or immature motives behind it. When i hear a Ja-Rule track, i don't flip out and start knocking over furniture...ha ha. I just say it sucks and change the station/channel. -
It's already been posted...but thanx.

"Gettin' Jiggy Wit It" question
JumpinJack AJ replied to esanchez's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
Ummm...wouldn't a song have 2 have cuss words in it 2 have an edited or explict version??
