  1. Yeah, new Usher album slated for October...can't wait. LEFT EYE feat. BLAQUE - Head To The Sky Supernova (2001) "now as we step into the light and grab the mic let's try to know the difference between wrong and right you know, they listenin' to everything we recite but is it glistenin' that makes it alright we shortys on the blocks with loaded glocks believe it or not we raised the last generation thru' Hip-Hop can't forget about Playstation and it don't stop what's wrong with the nation, it's flip flopped but can turn it all around starting with the sound spread love from rock and roll to the underground we gotta take control of our mind, body, and soul never fold, never fold, NEVER FOLD then let the truth be told, let it go let it show, open your mouth, then let it flow into the depths of the blackest hole we can find rainbows and a pot of gold" This song waz relivant back then...but even more so now. They need to rework the album and finally release it in the US!!
  2. MTV has been dead since the 90's. Before they played so much music, had music-releated interviews with a few music related shows. Now it's filled with quickly processed shows for idiotic teens. Back in the day there waz Yo! MTV Raps, Headbangers Ball, Most Wanted, Club MTV, etc. If it wazn't a show showcasing videos from a certain genre, it waz random music videos back to back and shows releated 2 music. I loved MTV in the late 80's and early 90's. These days u have nothing but garbage reality TV shows that are incredibly fake. Esposed, Room Raiders, Next...all those dating shows are straight trash. The people on it sound like they can't read...but are attempting 2 read from scripts cuz everything they say sounds so fake cuz they know cameras are on them. Real World has been played out for 10 years now. Road Rules and all that other crap waz stupid from the start. I do like Run's House and i liked Ashley Parker Angel's show...but they of course were related to music. I love Jackass, but that of course isn't on TV anymore. I can stand to watch Pimp My Ride every once in a while. But for the most part, i don't watch it anymore. It really has nothing 2 do with music anymore. It's just pathetic. It falls in place with embarassing state of popular music. What they really need 2 do is have 2 networks...one strictly music and another for reality shows. Nobody really respects MTV anymore. Even if they like it, it's cuz they don't care about the music aspect of it.
  3. I love this song. I think it's the best Hip-Hop single of 2007 EASILY. The production is good, the lyrics are great, and Akon's appearance dosen't come across as huge commerical attempt just becuz he's so "hot" to Top 40 fans. Bone has 100 times more heart and brains than any other rapper on the charts at the moment. I read about this song months b4 it came out and when it finally did hit, it waz everything they said it'd be.
  4. Well, it wasn't one of their greatest hits...hence it not being on a greatest hits album. It's on their other Greatest Hits CD tho'.
  5. R. KELLY + USHER - Same Girl Double Up (2007)
  6. Lauryn Hill waz rumored to drop a new album back in the summer of '03 or '04. There were pix of her that were supposed 2 be for a new video. I guess the info waz incorrect or she scrapped that album and video. I think Lauryn Hill is one of the best artists of all time, but her work ethic has become ?uestionable 2 me. Her voice has seemed a bit off with ever live performance i've seen since after her 2002 Unplugged performance. Her emcee skillz seemed in tact, but her singing voice seems 2 be kinda sloppy and un-trained. I'm also kinda mad about the falling apart of The Fugees album. I remember Wyclef saying about a year ago that he waz about getting it done and out but that Pras and Lauryn seemed sidetracked and wanted to take their time with it. Get it 2gether people.
  7. WARREN G feat. NATE DOGG - I Need A Light In The Mid-Night Hour (2005)
  8. When i first read this, i thought both of them had their points, but the more i think about it i'm siding more with Jeff. Rhyefest's points about JJ+FP doing alot of the same things he wants 2 do is just silly since times have changed so much. Back in the 80's and early 90's, it waz common for the best Hip-Hop to actually be on the charts, where as 2day...the best is basically never on the charts. Most of those artists had alot of freedom over their music. The adjustments they had to make were usually small and respectable even when they had 2 make them. Being on Yo! MTV Raps truely brought the artist 2 the people. There really isn't and of that anymore. I respect Rhymefest's drive 2 get his music out there. It reminds me of my own faith for things 2 get better. But to have that mentality can also lead 2 alot of unnecessary thinking and stress. I love how Jazzy is content 2 do his thing the way he does. However, i'm kinda disappointed that he hasn't created the resources to generate any success...LIKE A MUSIC VIDEO!!
  9. Since i'm not a real Aerosmith fan, i don't even think i have the right 2 judge the original version of the song. I don't know that i've even heard it.
  10. Never heard that...what's the source? I can't say i follow Jeff Goldblum much, but i've seen him in a few movies (or parts of movies) that either weren't the kind of movies a serious actor would do or featured actors that serious movies would not have casted. I can't really believe there's any truth 2 it since FP waz never a phoney gangsta rapper, had one of the best and most popular shows of all time and waz in Where The Day Takes You, Six Degree of Seperation, and Bad Boys.
  11. True. But the Dolly Parton version got his flair too. Do offense 2 Dolly, but after hearing Whitney Houston sing that song (or nearly any song 4 that matter), it classifies the orginal one unnecessary.
  12. TRIN-I-TEE 5:7 - With A Kiss Holla: The Best of Trin-I-Tee (2007)
  13. Not 2 mention that the reruns often have a minute or 2 cut out of them and the credits are pushed 2 half screen. The only reason 2 get bootlegs is for stuff that will never be released.
  14. KRS-ONE + MARLEY MARL - THis Is What It Is Hip-Hop Lives (2007)
  15. I waz tempted years ago 2 buy the whole series when i 1st saw it...but the bottom line is, we all know the whole series will soon be out. Why waste money on a bootleg version with manual edits and crappy quality. Do it the right way...and have a bit of you money going in FP's pockets.
  16. I remember back when the promotion waz going on, there waz an athletic store that had a hanging Starter display with Jazzy on it. I waz gonna ask them for it when they were done with it but they got rid of it just b4 i came in 2 ask. I wonder why we've never found the promo pix he took 4 Starter back then online.
  17. Seal - Fly Like An Eagle (thanx 4 reminding me) Jennifer Love Hewitt - Bobby McGee Mya, Christina Aguilera, Pink, Missy, + Lil' Kim - Lady Marmalade Beyonce - Wishing On A Star Lenny Kravitz - Americal Woman K-Ci - If You Think You're Lonely Now All-4-One - So In Love Mandy Moore - Have A Little Faith In Me Aaliyah - At Your Best (You Are Love) Aaliyah - Choosy Lover Jessica Simpson - Angels
  18. Yeah, in these days of phoney fans who just download music without buying the albums or the msuic, that forum is for legit fans who stick around which usually indicates that they own most of the albums 2 if they are that dedicated. Regular album music isn't really included in that forum anyway. Stick around and u'll be there in no time.
  19. HA HA HA!! The topics been done...all i can bare 2 say is that the song is dope.
  20. BOYZ II MEN - Uhh Ahh (The Sequel Mix) Legacy: The Greatest Hits Collection - Delux Edition (2004) The best that ever did it!!
  21. Wow, i'd really have 2 think about this one. It's hard 2 say that covers are actually better than the original due 2 stuff like people never hearing the original b4...or growing up on the cover b4 hearing the original...or just loving the artist who did the cover. Off the top of my head, here's a few covers that i love... Luther Vandross + Mariah Carey - Endless Love TLC - If I Was You Girlfriend Montell Jordan - Close The Door Mary J. Blige - I'm Goin' Down Boyz II Men - Sara Smile DHT - Listen To Your Heart Speech - Freedom The Marvin Is 60 album is dope. The covers on the SharkTale soundtrack are great.
  22. He sent me the video...but haven't checked it yet. I can't wait tho'....still bitter i didn't get 2 go 2 the shoot.
  23. LL COOL J - Nitro Walking With A Panther (1989)
  24. ...and that's just where we are gonna have 2 agree 2 disagree.
  25. It's good...it says everything on true Hip-Hop fans' minds. It's basic down-2-earth timeless production by a legend laced with the kind of lyrics u can expect from KRS.
