  1. HA HA HA!! The topics been done...all i can bare 2 say is that the song is dope.
  2. BOYZ II MEN - Uhh Ahh (The Sequel Mix) Legacy: The Greatest Hits Collection - Delux Edition (2004) The best that ever did it!!
  3. Wow, i'd really have 2 think about this one. It's hard 2 say that covers are actually better than the original due 2 stuff like people never hearing the original b4...or growing up on the cover b4 hearing the original...or just loving the artist who did the cover. Off the top of my head, here's a few covers that i love... Luther Vandross + Mariah Carey - Endless Love TLC - If I Was You Girlfriend Montell Jordan - Close The Door Mary J. Blige - I'm Goin' Down Boyz II Men - Sara Smile DHT - Listen To Your Heart Speech - Freedom The Marvin Is 60 album is dope. The covers on the SharkTale soundtrack are great.
  4. He sent me the video...but haven't checked it yet. I can't wait tho'....still bitter i didn't get 2 go 2 the shoot.
  5. LL COOL J - Nitro Walking With A Panther (1989)
  6. ...and that's just where we are gonna have 2 agree 2 disagree.
  7. It's good...it says everything on true Hip-Hop fans' minds. It's basic down-2-earth timeless production by a legend laced with the kind of lyrics u can expect from KRS.
  8. I only remember Batman having 2 turn his whole body instead of just his head in the 1989 movie. Either way, if u are actually noticing that while watching the movie, u are either really weird or don't like the movie at all. If anything, i'd just make it part of the character.
  9. Philly is nice...i've been thinking about getting up there again for awhile. I've never been there in the summertime.
  10. As people get involved with this posts about the embarassing state of commercial rap...it turns in2 a situation where the blind are leading the blind. Buy KRS-One + Marley Marl's album Hip-Hop Lives album.
  11. Without breaking in2 a convo about the seperation of church and state, the country was built on the freedom of choice such as faith. Anybody who has any kind of faith believes in God...reguardless of of the name or the circumstances. It's not like it says In Jesus We Trust. The whole world is in decline, but the decline of the US (since i live here) is just surprising 2 me. I don't think it's just a coincedence that the past few decades have been about pushing God away...and times getting worse. So to end this very non-discriminating tradition just comes off as a part of that 2 me.
  12. I actually think both titles are weak. I don't really like either of them. I suppose i like Tonight He Comes a little better. I still think the bigger injustice waz the retitling of The Last First Kiss.
  13. Love that joint!! I'm glad someone has come across that song. MAT KEARNEY - Bullet (Acoustic Version) Nothing Left To Lose Acoustic EP (2007)
  14. Yeah, u just gotta get away from it all, shut down your mind machine, and just breathe. When u do, your heart will tell u what the right thing 2 do is.
  15. I actually like it. I wish they'd stay more consistent tho.' There really isn't any reason 2 totally revamp the costume every movie. The changes between Batman and Batman Returns were appropriate. I thought all the other costumes looked really cool. I just don't believe there is a reason 2 totally rework it everytime around. The costume actually reminds me of the Batman Forever and especially Batman + Robin when it comes 2 the contemporary look. Since Batman Begins had a retro feel to me, the 1st look of this costume reminds me of the inconsistent jump between the 90's movies. I actually like all of those Batman movies (tho' it's clear that some were better than others). Batman has gone thru' many changes in the comic books and those movies represented various eras pretty well. I can't wait for the next one. After all the other superhero movies that have come out (which i do like)...i really can't wait 4 a new Batman. I'm hoping they get the details to the Flash, Wonder Woman, Justice League and the next Superman movie together in the next few years as well.
  16. I just found this kinda interesting. Does anyone feel that this wasn't a mistake?? from AOL News... ----------------------- Mint Releases More 'Godless' Dollars AP Posted: 2007-06-20 10:24:43 PHILADELPHIA (June 19) - It looks like the U.S. Mint has struck again - or not struck again, depending on how you look at it. New dollar coins featuring John Adams are missing edge inscriptions including "In God We Trust," according to the Professional Coin Grading Service, a rare coin authentication company based in Newport Beach, Calif. The company said people have found hundreds of Adams dollar coins without the edge lettering, repeating a previous mistake. In March, an unknown number of George Washington dollar coins were struck at the Philadelphia Mint without "In God We Trust," "E Pluribus Unum," and the year and mint mark inscribed on the edge. A spokeswoman for the U.S. Mint said the agency is looking into the reports. After the Washington "godless dollars" were discovered, the Mint pledged to more closely monitor the striking process. "It's too early to put a final price tag on the collector value of Adams presidential dollar errors because no one knows how many others will turn up," Guth said in a news release. The Adams dollars, officially released into circulation May 17, are the second in a series of presidential coins slated to run until 2016.
  17. BLAQUE - Rainbow Drive Blaque By Popular Demand (1999/2007)
  18. DEBORAH COX - Smoke Gets In You Eyes Destination Moon (2007) She's back...i just wish it waz an album of her own songs.
  19. It's not so much that, it's that the top people in the company turning their back on me like that. Things aren't really that bad...just not what they should be. The past 3 days we have been blowing numbers away. So i see good things on the horizon.
  20. I love remixes...but i hate album versions with guest raps added in. Either 2 artists create a song 2gether or it's just kinda stupid 2 record vocals months later 4 a song that's already a hit or a semi-hit. I remember when Beyonce released "Naughty Girl." The song waz pretty average it's original form. Then by the time she released the single, they added a verse from Lil' Flip. Lil' Flip's wack appearance took and average song and made it less likely 2 listen 2 it. Then i got the single and there waz another album version with wack rap from Lil' Kim on it. I just don't get the point of that. Either totally remix it with new production or just leave it alone.
  21. That's my joint!! ELLIOT YAMIN - Wait For You (self-titled) (2007) I looooooooooove this song!!
  22. Silver Tiger, while things are frustrating...realize this. Their truely is 2 different genres. True Hip-Hop and Commercial Rap. Hip-Hop is never changing, always honest, always real, always fun, and usually quality. Commercial Rap is trendy crap that usually isn't any good. Realize that true Hip-Hop music is doing fine. The music that mostly gets radio play is garbage and embarassing. Let your frustration stop with that. I can totally identify with u on what u are feeling. Lil' Wayne has been a hot mess since he released his 1st single.
  23. I'm not sure, i've only heard it on the radio. I have a semi-local radio station that plays R-N-B, Neo-Soul, and classic R-N-B. However, during the Steve Harvey Morning Show and the Michael Bayston Show, they occasionaly play some Hip-Hop. I'm sure someone can find the song somewhere on the internet. I've been meaning 2 look 4 it myself. I'm sure the album will be released sometime kinda soon.
  24. I'm hoping 2 get some prayer support on my recent situation. Many of u know, i run a photography studio, which has been a blessing. I've learned so much, had so much fun, and started getting my life settled. I can humbly say i'm great at what i do, my employees love me and so do my customers. Anyways, in the past month or 2 my numbers have been pretty crappy. We just aren't making money the way we should be. It's been stressing me for awhile now and it's killing my passion 4 the business. It seems like i've been sacraficing so much of myself to make it happen and now i'm more than burned out and dying 4 a vacation. Anyways, i just got a 30 Day Action Plan...which means i need 2 change these numbers around NOW or they are gonna consider getting rid of me. It's amazing how u can work somewhere for over 5 years, generate success and sales, climb up the ranks, and give your all...and once things getting kinda crappy, they can treat u like crap. Why i still have it in me 2 fix this, it's very frustrating, embarassing, and stressful. I guess i'm just asking the passion to keep on, the drive to make things happen, the skill to bring the whole team up, and then to finally get 2 unwind and start 2 enjoy life again. Thanx in advance!!
  25. I liked Crown Royal too. Run-DMC waz just making a comeback in a modern kinda way. They were just about 2 start work on their next album when JMJ was murdered. Run-DMC fans can only imagin how good that waz gonna turn out since they were back in the limelight. Back 2 LL tho'....even as one of his biggest fans in the whole world, i'm hesitating 2 check this song. LL is a legend. He's one of the best who's ever done it...PERIOD. When i heard he waz doing this album with 50 as his sidekick. I knew the music would suffer. I understand Jay-Z is a joke as the head of a label and that he isn't gonna show a true artist like LL real love. I understand that the label formally known as Def Jam no longer holds any similar standards that it had when Russell was there. I understand that commerical rap fans ignored half of LL's current singles cuz he's not a cuss-infested rhyme-writer who pretends 2 be hardcore. I understand that the music biz, Jay-Z's label, and 50's help must be unmotivational. I understand LL just wants 2 get this album out and get off Def Jam. Why i expected the music 2 suffer some, i didn't expect it 2 suffer as much as it seems from most of the reactions in this post. I guess i'll just support LL thru' this and anxiously wait 4 the next album he drops which i'm sure will be true 2 his style.
