  1. I won't give him the chance. I don't think i'll give MTV anymore chances. Anyone else see the show? It seems that alot of my friends saw the show 2 and everyone hates it. The only thing most of them liked was Rihanna's performance and Britney having her stuff 2gether.
  2. Alright, nobody really respects MTV anymore. They play no more music videos even tho' they are called Musica Television, they air incredibly annoying "reality" shows for 12 year olds that feature 18-20 year olds that are very obnoxious. Well, u think that the network would put some effort in2 their only claim 2 fame...the VMA's. First off, the host. I don't know why this guy is famous or why they chose someone who isn't famous in the US 2 host the show. He waz annoying and unfunny. Everytime i saw him i just wanted 2 cut his hair and punch him in the face. Then, the nominees. U gotta take in consideration the MUSIC and the VIDEO amoungst videos that had SOME SUCCESS. To be honest, i didn't even know who half of the people who were nominated. And alot of the others just aren't very good at what they do. One thing that annoyed me is that every artist was nominated for the same video. Back in the days when artists released 3 or 4 videos for an album, it was common to nominated for 2 or 3 of those videos...not just the same one. And the theme behind the performances were wack. What was it, were they trying 2 shoot a 1 take music video? To be honest, i don't even remember the show cuz it was so bad. T.I. was awful, Lil' Wayne was awful, Kanye (who i kinda respect) was awful, P!nk (who i love) waz blah, Rihanna (who i love) was okay, and Christina Aguilera (who i love) was lipsyncing 2 crappy new music. The one thing i personally liked was that a handful of the artists thanked God. As a spiritual person, u notice that nobody does it anymore and MTV would be the last place u would expect it. But does that make a show good...no. Britney Spears was my personal favorite part. After being the way she has been the last few years and dropping a crappy album and getting little attention. To see her win anyway, and look great and be smiling at the same event that she bombed at last year was just good 2 see. I think that unless MTV gets their crap 2gether, this is the last leg of MTV having any connection 2 music that will get people 2 tune in.
  3. I think this song sucked and i think his performanced sucked. It fit in with the entire VMA's. I was gonna make a post about that later. The whole show was awful. Even artists i like, like P!nk were performing songs i didn't like. I wanted 2 cheer for Kanye, but he sucked in my opinion. No thought went in2 the performance the song in the 1st place is just awful.
  4. MR. CHEEKS + GLENN LEWIS - I Apologize Back Again! (2003) Man, i'm 5 years late getting this album...and it's really good. It's a shame this album got over looked since it had what it takes 2 have commerical success after "Lights, Camera, Action" was a success.
  5. It's not very nice of him 2 record either.
  6. Wow! I was a huge fan of The Arsenio Hall Show...and of course of JJ+FP. I didn't even know they performed this song on the show. THANX!!
  7. With all due respect, when is this loser gonna quit?!?
  8. I wrote that in the middle of the night...it looks like i never learned the english language...ha ha.
  9. Congratz and Good Luck!! May this the wedding and honeymoon be 1 of the greatest times of your life and lead 2 a whole new and better chapter.
  10. I think it's a really good thing that he's open with u. That means he's more likely 2 be open about other thing, much more imporant things, in this important years filled with growing pains. I for one didn't talk 2 my parents alot start at that age and i really regret it now. I learned alot of things on my own, some of them the hard way...so that open communication is a really good thing.
  11. Jon Stewart is legendary...ha ha. This crap is all acrossed politics. As far as i've seen, u can't pin point a certain person, network, or group of people....it's everywhere. It always has been.
  12. I like this alot. The thing i like the most is that why he's addressing these things, he's not trashing the President. I've alwasy believed that u must support and be respectful 2 people in positions like that. Even when Bill Clinton, the biggest scum of them all was going thru' his drama, i wasn't bashing him and putting my thoughts out there. That's what makes this song legit....the fact that LL didn't compromise his intellegence in the way he wrote it. It waz good 2 hear Wyclef in the track 2. Another good songs is P!nk's "Mr. President."
  13. I agree with Top Dawg, when i started middle school, that waz when the "silly" crushes when away and u really start scheming one what it takes 2 impress a girl. U think u are so much more mature than u are. That's when i started using deoderant, brushing my hair more, using face cleaner 2 prevent myself from breaking out, etc. My wardrobe, which waz awful, was also something i was paying attention to more. I think for most guys, that's and age where u really start maturing and paying attention 2 certain things.
  14. Good point Trey...but there's nothing wrong with longing for the days of dope artists getting mainstream success once again. I can't say that i care if The Game gets any.
  15. Since this board is pretty tight-knit. Signatures don't really serve much of a purpose. I'm no signature master myself. Then there are people like Silver who have a totally unnecessary Pikachu signature right above a signature advertising a "movie" he already put up even tho' the sig still says "It's coming you know."
  16. Wow, i think his worst work is with D12...cuz they are one of the worst groups i've ever heard. Personally that is.
  17. Yeah, i really liked the Tra-Knox. Born To Reign didn't really show what the guys were made of. And even if u weren't in2 them, the down side is that FP did at least one song with them for their shelved album. Darn it Overbrook. How about some more focus on the music department.
  18. THANK U!!! This is dope! I love it! Common Sense is easily the most authentic emcee getting any success these days. His rhymes are dope, this beat is simple but dope...and Pharrell makes a nice appearance on this. He isn't one of the greatest emcee's of all time. Infact i'm sure most people see him as the producer/singer/emcee who does it all, but he true 2 himself and he is 1,000 light years ahead of any of these commercial or dirty south rappers getting spins. I cannot wait 4 this new album.
  19. KRS, like most legendary emcees who still have a voice, it's doing the grown "team player" thing. He's just nice 2 everyone coming up, even tho' they are clearly a part of the problem. Point the finger at FP, point it at LL, they are all taking the high road instead of damaging the sensitive egos of these over-compensating wack new school commercial rap cats.
  20. Well, "The Magnificent Jazzy Jeff" was a single off Rock The House, "Jazzy's Groove" was the 2nd single off And In This Corner... (remixed and featuring the legendary Grover Washington Jr), and "U Saw My Blinker" was the 4th single off Homebase (released as a promo to radio and DJ's). "Jeff Waz On The Beat Box" waz the b-side to "I Think I Can Beat Mike Tyson." "The Rain" was originally a song mentioned off of Willennium as if it were going to be released as a single. I'll reply 2 this with my choices later.
  21. I think Slipknot sucks...i can't say i've ever been a fan of The Game. Music in general is incredibly boring due 2 the lack of true artists. I can't say i watch the charts until one of my favorite artists drops and album...and that's just 2 see how the public responds 2 that paticular album.
  22. If only some of the old heads would come BACK!!
  23. Lil' Wayne is trash. Any song that he is one is held back. If he wasn't on Usher's "Love In The Club Pt. 2", it would be one of the greatest R-N-B songs of the last decade. And i can't find a Radio Edit w/o Rap anywhere. The beat is good. It sounds like Game is talking about some okay stuff but lyrically he's either trying 2 hard or he's just not tightly focused on the topic enough 2 come across that clear. Good effort from Game, i guess.
