  1. I think the new song is dope. It just a straight beat with them flowing over it. No gimmicks, trending production, crappy guests. It's Hip-Hop in it's truest form. I think a lot of Royce's production and Relapse was it or miss but it was never BAD. I have no problem with a beat that isn't fantastic as long as it's not bad and the emcee does right lyrically/vocally. I think Recovery's beats (other than 1 or 2 songs) was dope. Commercial or underground, those beats were dope. Once Em got away from his usual producers, it was like a breath of fresh air entered his music.
  2. Though I've never followed his career very close, I've always thought Royce Da 5'9" had skills. Now that Eminem has got his stuff 2gether again, I'm really excited for this EP!! Just hearing the news takes me 10 years back. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Eminem announces details of upcoming EP By Jonah Bayer • 1 hour ago Breaking News . Eminem hasn’t updated his twitter account in months, but last night he took to the Internet to announce that his upcoming EP with Royce Da 5′9 would be called Hell: The Sequel. The duo —who are referring to themselves as “Bad Meets Evil — will release the EP on June 14th. This also marks the first time that these two rappers have worked together in over a decade. . Royce, who appeared on Eminem’s 1999 commercial breakthrough The Slim Shady LP, had a very drawn-out public feud with Em and his hip-hop group D12 from 2003 to 2008. Both acts ended up releasing diss tracks aimed at each other, however Royce patched things up with the group a few years back and was even featured on a D12 mixtape called Return Of The Dozen. . Last week, the duo’s song “Fast Lane” appeared online (which you can listen to here) and saw the two MCs trading rhymes in a traditional battle-style format, and included Eminem giving a shout out to Nicki Minaj that’s so dirty we can’t even quote it on this site. When asked how the duo reunited, Royce recently told MTV, “Me and Em, when we started hangin’ again — he don’t go anywhere — so we were hangin’ at the studio. We just started making records, just making ‘em because we were both in the lab and we had free time.”
  3. Hall and Oates have some classic 80's tracks but I really love their early/mid 2000's soulful stuff. LFO - Forever LFO (1999) Always loved this love song...
  4. JAMES BLUNT - You're Beautiful Back To Bedlam (2005) It's been awhile since I've heard this. I still like this song...takes me back to a good place.
  5. I had no problem with the CGI. I've only watched the movie 3 times but I thought it looked fine and very creepy. The only thing I don't like about the movie was the rushed ending.
  6. MC HAMMER - Do Not Pass Me By Too Legit To Quit (1991) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tdpl3DLV7Ac&feature=related I can't believe this is how they opened the AMA's years ago. How can u not feel the spirit after watching that. HAPPY EASTER!!
  7. This is what I got for your S Club 7...lol DA LENCH MOB - All On My Nut Sac Guerillas In Tha Mist (1992) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1b06QTK4pEQ I got in so much trouble when I talked the bus driver into playing this song (or part of it) on the bus in 7th grade. lol
  8. I would say "Yo! Home To Bel-Air" is the best theme ever...then this! HEAVY D + THE BOYZ - In Living Color (1989) Then Queen Latifah's "Living Single"
  9. KESHA + ANDRE 3000 - Sleazy (Remix) I Am The Dance Commander...And I Command You To Dance (2011) Kesha's music is guilty pleasure of mine when I'm in the mood for mindless, dumb, dance music....How did she get Andrew 3000 on the track?! lol
  10. I will agree that she's improved over the years, but I consider her bottom of the barrel when it comes to talent. When there are legends like Latifah, why settle for people who can't bring half the heat she does.
  11. Sorry...I copied the URL instead of the article...but I'm 2 lazy 2 go back and get it. This brand new article talks about how the Fugees are likely to reunite...but on their own time table. http://www.popeater.com/2011/04/08/fugees-reunite/
  12. Yeah, I like this. I've never been the biggest Beastie Boys fan but I've always appreciated them. I have most of their albums and there's definitely a time and place for BB. I like the energy on this. Thanx for sharing.
  13. I truly have no interest in this. I think the whole thing can be summed up like this...ugly rapper vs. ugly rapper...annoying voice vs. annoying voice...weak lyrics vs. weak lyrics. My ears are too busy for that nonsense.
  14. Visqo, I said good Usher...lol. Not average, forgettable, lyrically lacking, vocally not-impressive Usher. KIRK FRANKLIN - Hello Fear Hello Fear (2011) The new album is beautiful!
  15. USHER - Can U Help Me 8701 (2001) Usher, please make good music again.
  16. The only thing that comes to mind to me is MC Hammer's "The Thrill Is Gone" of his 1st album Let's Get It Started.
  17. RUN-DMC w/ NAS + PRODIGY - Queens Day Crown Royal (2001) This track has always been dope to me. Timeless beat, a laid back but cocky Hip-Hop joint.
  18. It's not that serious. He'll be fine. The picture of him has his hand wrapped. Of course he's in crazy pain but he'll be perfectly fine.
  19. Wyclef Jean has reportedly been shot at during a trip to his native Haiti. The former Fugees member was visiting the country to lend his support to presidential candidate Michael Martelly, during Martelly's preparations for the final round of elections against former First Lady Mirlande Manigat. A car he was riding in was attacked and shot at as he was driving through the capital of Port-au-Prince, accompanied by friend and fellow artist Busta Rhymes and the record executive Jimmy Rosemond. The three traveled to Haiti to take part in a concert to support Martelly's bid for presidency. The 'If I Were President: The Haitian Experience' creator's right hand was injured by a bullet, but it seems no other injuries were incurred by Wyclef or the other passengers. Wyclef's representatives confirmed the shooting and tweeted, "We have spoken to Wyclef, he is OK. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers." Wyclef's hand was struck by a bullet in Port-au-Prince around 11PM, his publicist said on Sunday. "He is doing well," Cindy Tanenbaum told CNN. No other details about the incident were revealed. However, a photo of Wyclef has since emerged online here, showing the entertainer lying on what appears to be a hospital bed, his right hand bandaged and his left hand resting over his face.
  20. NAUGHTY BY NATURE - Uptown Anthem Juice (1992) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRm3qCS5jDQ I can't stand Slim Thug...but I like that beat. That Planet Asia joint is flawless!
