  1. LFO - Every Other Time Life Is Good (2001) This whole album reminds me of Summer. I got it and was disappointed that they gave it more of a rock edge...but over time it grew into one of my favorite albums ever. It's been almost a year since Rich passed on. I'm invited to his memorial this Fall. Rest in peace, brother.
  2. It has never settled with me well when someone takes a sample and uses their own talent, lyrics, or subject matter (or lack of it) and tarnishes it due to their musical lackings. This never really happened in the old school. Most popular artists these days are lyrically ignorant or boring, the subject matter is trashy or non-existent, their so-called talent is questionable....and that put their nonsense on top of a classic, credible piece of music. Chuck D is saying something that should have been said a long time ago.
  3. This videos are dope! First we have Fresh Prince the hype man...then he returns to his early stomping grounds for Lady B's 30th...all after showing up are the Charlie Mack event. All this is very refreshing after the last few years. He never said he's retired from rhyming. Everybody needs to quit with that. We all know Jaden is rapping. Some of know FP will be doing the same....it's gonna happen.
  4. I haven't gotten anything new in awhile. There's simply nothing good out and I don't spend the few spare moments of my day looking for underground talent. I've been listening to a lot 90's R-N-B recently. As far as Hip-Hop, I've just be revisiting music by MC Lyte, Skee-Lo, MC Brains and of course, JJ+FP.
  5. This smilies are mad gangsta, son! :bowl:
  6. I like the face lift. You didn't reinvent the wheel...but it's the perfect upgrade! I still miss the red/green forum tho'...lol.
  7. I love Stu Stone. I've heard him be much funnier tho.' This is still dope though. DIGITAL UNDERGROUND - We Already Won (1999)
  8. JANET JACKSON + COOLIO - Runaway (G. Man's Hip-Hop Mix) Runaway (Cassette Single) (1996) Remember when the rappers making guest appearances didn't suck?
  9. TOBYMAC - Funky Jesus Music Tonight (2010) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVVSFf0OVkc
  10. As a person, I feel for whatever pain and addiction she dealt with in life. My condolences go out to her family, friends, and fans. With all due respect, I didn't like her music, her voice, and most of her lyrics at all. That's just my opinion though.
  11. CE CE PENISTON - Keep On Walkin' Finally (1992)
  12. This trailer barely interests me. I just don't find it exciting. I'm happy to see something though. I think it's stupid that they are concluding it though. As long as they have good scripts, more films can follow. They've tapped into villains that have already been done. There's so much more to Batman that can be explored.
  13. I've always liked WWW. Y'all are haters. :mmph:
  14. I haven't heard that in forever. That's was one of my favorite songs at the time. ABASSADOR - Gimmie Dat! The Chop Chop (2008) Get past the first few seconds of auto-tune before u judge this song. I just stumbled across his music.
  15. Ha ha...sorry...I mean a few days ago. It was on AOL News 2 or 3 days ago.
  16. I read this a few years ago. Unlike most celeb break-ups, this one kinda upset me. They seemed like great couple who was really happy and they complimented each other...the kind of couple you actually root for. I guess she couldn't go any longer without me.
  17. I don't currently have the money or time to see anyone...lol. But know that I'm still down if the ball gets rolling for this.
  18. The 'love of the game' sensibility came to mind for me as well. The album is great but I think they are selling themselves short. DJ Jazzy Jeff has a name for himself. Ayah has BIG talent. I feel that ultimately they are shorting their own careers. Simply buy pressing a few thousand CDs and getting them out there, they'd have more exposure and get more attention rather than putting the album out free online. People talk about how crappy the music industry is but there are a handful of artists from all genres who are aren't mega popular who are doing well for themselves by putting a project and having it priced at $5-$7. This album is QUALITY...not that watered down crap that rap artists put out on most mixtapes. Even Amazon runs digital specials for $1.99 for big artists. This album NEEDS that treatment in my opinion.
  19. The show had a few good years left in it but I think FP was right to end it when he did. They ended on a high and the show doesn't have weak period or ending like most show have. How is Bad Boys 2, Hitch, etc not funny?!
  20. I would believe a reunion, in the sense that it's the cast together, sharing favorite scenes, bloopers, stories, etc. I could see scripted skits, but store episode and not a movie. They dynamic of the show was perfect during its time and that time has passed. Why some of FP's recent movies have been questionable, he usually knows what projects will not work and doesn't do them and anything beyond a reunion event is PROBABLY not something he'd want to do...because it would be awful. I hope they never try to revamp the show for a new generation. Why this show has more potential to be good reinvented more than others, it would still never be as good.
  21. I agree 100%. They could have at least sold it in stores for like $7 since a lot of independent albums do well and get attention when they are properly priced.
