Thanks people. I'm gonna hold off on re-recording it again for now and focus on some new songs. "What if Snails Could Blink?" might not be the next song after all. I know it still sounds a little distorted. But when you play it side by side to the original, the difference is clear. I couldn't really hear the distortion when I was recording it because I always played it back through my headphones. It wasn't until I had saved it and played it in my speakers that I noticed. Yeah, it requires the Phantom power to be turned on. I think it was the gain that had it distorted. I was used to needing it turned up high for my old mic so I never thought to turning it down. It was going to red when I recorded so I'll try changing that up. We'll see how that goes. I'm really glad you like the song. If turning down the gain works, then I'll re-record it. God Blessa!

Thanks for the compliments, really. Glad the flow is well received. The beat is from Outkast's "Da Art of Storytellin' (Part II)". I'm not big on using beats that aren't mine or weren't made for free but I thought it worked real well for the song. I plan on getting Fruity Loops v. 5 soon so I can make some quality beats of my own. I'd love to for you to help if you can. Damn... that's always been something about Will that frustrated me. He disses these horrible rappers (without calling them out by name) and then gives props to terrible/mediocre rappers. It makes me ask the think: Then what were you just talking about in your song? "Truck with rims, throwback jerseys, champagne bottles, lotsa models, damn!" Remember that? These rappers you're praising are all guilty of that ****. In his music he is always on point with this stuff but in real life he changes tune. I'm not asking him to diss this rapper or that rapper. I'm asking him to stop giving them props because they are tearing down commercial Hip Hop. God Blessa!

My whole setup is basically this: 1. My PC 2. My Gold Diaphragm Condenser mic (Its a studio one! 3. My popper stopper!! 4. My Eurorack MX2804A Mixing Desk 5. And cool edit pro as the software I use to record it all! I mess around with the settings as well so I add vocal reverb and a compressor to my recordings!! Thats basically all I use! You just gotta mess around with a few things until you find something that works for you! Thanks for posting that. Sounds like I need a better mic. I got the pop filter, cool edit (probably the same way you got it, lol), and of course the PC. Thanks for the local reverb tip as well. I'm off to cash a check and buy some equipment. God Blessa!
