I liked it. One of his best videos for sure. It got better during the second half. Should have been out months ago, but I'm hoping the strength of the song keeps it up. God Blessa!

That's weird. Both work for me and everyone I know that's heard it. Did you try again? Maybe it was down a while ago. God Blessa! -

Buster, a story in a cappella form

Hey, I know you're there. Even if you wanna trash my song, could you do me a favor and tell me what you think of it? You don't even have to listen to it if you want. God Blessa! -
I liked it. Looks like it'd be good battle lyrics. Almost Rakimlike, but then, not at all. God Blessa!

Ha, thanks a lot. And thanks for your input. God Blessa! -
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=186572 I plan on re-recording this later with my friends who have nicer equipment than me. I would have had a beat if I was able to make something that suits the flow. I didn't wanna compromise the flow for the beat so I'm bringing it in raw voice form. The song is a made up story by me. I personally like it. I'd like to know what you think. Oh, and if you think you're up to it, I'd like to see if anyone could make a beat to go with the flow. God Blessa!

It's a bad sign to me when I stop caring and forget about it. They need to get up on it. They've had plenty of time already. God Blessa!

Sell out is damn right. How can he talk so positive, play it up, preach about God then say he can "put it to the side" when it comes to music. Hell, he went against the grain and made decent songs on Bad Boy. And G-Unit of all groups to hook up with... I hope all of those slow talking, bad rapping, "me time" punks enjoys their heaven on earth. Life will come back to get you. God Blessa!

That was a pretty good amateur movie. Some acted better than others. I liked your friend's ideas. I'm trying to get into the industry myself, and this was nice to see. Good work all around. God Blessa!

I loved this movie. It's a really deep movie. Definitely not a kids movie, but a quality flick for sure. God Blessa!

Waiting for Party Starter Video
Silver Tiger replied to mrpeterson's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
You're misunderstanding me. For a minute, forget all the haters. Think of the people that are neutral, the people that aren't fans because they've heard Switch enough and have moved on. Switch has really run it's course as a single. Yeah, Will could easily say "screw it", but he doesn't want to, so I don't know why you're using this. He showed how much he missed it when the album first came out. God Blessa! -
Waiting for Party Starter Video

What kills me is that I've seen Snoop release like 3 videos since the Switch video was first shown. THREE. Remember when we'd argue about movies slowing down Will's music career? Will knows it too, but he always gets pulled back in. He's a jack of all trades, but if he wants to be the master he's gotta concentrate more on one thing. I think he's spent plenty of time concentrating on movies, if he wants people to recongize and respect him as a rapper he's gotta spend more time on it. But I also don't know Interscope's hand in all of this, I just have a feeling Will is too busy. God Blessa! -

It's really a list of 11? That 11 was there just so they could put Eminem up there. God Blessa! -

Haha, just kidding. Nothing against Weird Al though. A lot of what I'd say has already been said. I'll post again if I think of something. God Blessa!

Like Miss Jackson would say: Give me a Beat!
Silver Tiger replied to Silver Tiger's topic in Caught in the Middle
I'm considering doing this a cappella. If it were any other song I've written, I don't think it would work, but this song has such a different flow to it. It'd probably be easier to make a beat for this after the vocals are recorded. God Blessa! -
When is the first time u hear and like ...
Silver Tiger replied to fresh_from_sofia's topic in Caught in the Middle
I can't even remember the first time, I was so young. I was born in 87, I probably started recognizing hip hop as music I enjoyed around 1990. I do remember the first time I memorized a song though. My mom had bought Christian tape with a hip hop song on it. Real deep song too. A good way to be introduced into the finer points of hip hop. I bought my own tape called Muzik ta Ride 2 (the first one). I loved that tape. It was hardcore Christian Hip Hop. The rappers were former gang members and believe it or not, Christian hip hop can be grittier than secular rap. My mom went behind my back and eventually returned it like a year later. I was not happy. Being a little kid, I wouldn't have much money. I'd go to Longs Christian Store and listen to CD's for free (Deezer D stands out the most, I still remember a lot of his stuff). It wasn't until later that I'd truly spread out and aquire a wider taste of hip hop. Because I grew up on quality, I'm quick to notice the crap out there. And there's a lot of it. Will Smith had always caught my attention as a positive guy and he was one of the first hip hop acts I pursued. I've used his honesty in his music as an example of how I would like to create. The smooth flow of Hip Hop has probably made me the creative person I am today. God Blessa! -

Silver Tiger replied to Silver Tiger's topic in Caught in the Middle
I'm sure it would. But I'd like to bring it all in as one big thing. I understand that this is kind of a difficult request. I feel like I'll probably end up doing a quick beat on my own. Any help offered is appreciated though. God Blessa! -
That is just sick. God Blessa!

I definitely think we'll be seeing Party Starter move fast. God Blessa!

Okay everyone. Today I was able to quickly write a short song song that I'm really proud of. I'd like to get it out here as fast as possible. The song is a 16 bar story. The flow is very quick. One line after the other is delivered in a smooth motion. The song is less than a minute long. I'd like any and all who could help me out to share a beat or point me to one. Given the way the song flows, I may have to tweak/shorten/extend the beat some. I don't know if I'll get any replies to this, but it's worth a shot. I'd just really like to share the song as soon as possible. God Blessa!

You make a good point AJ... it just doesn't have anything to do with the link, really. Try it again. Pretty sad thing. God Blessa!
