  1. I don't have a blind hate for the south. Outkast and Arrested Development are proof that being a rapper from the south does not mean you have to lyrically handicapped. That said, I definitely don't like the crap coming out now. I know KRS doesn't really believe James Brown is Christ but he's always saying things like this. Then he realizes that he already said it and he rolls with it... and he keeps rolling with it. God Blessa!
  2. The best album I got this year was Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor. I also really enjoyed Idlewild. Hip Hop is Dead is a solid album. Same with Year of the Dog. Most of the other CD's I bought this year didn't come out this year. God Blessa!
  3. Outkast- Claimin' True Man, it took me forever to get this album (Southernplaylisticadillacmuzik). I held off for a long time, but now my Outkast collection is complete. God Blessa!
  4. Seemed like the same ol' same ol' until he said James Brown was Christ. God Blessa!
  5. Nice job. I like where you went with it. Good stuff FuQ! God Blessa!
  6. Ha, I woulda got excited too, but I usually don't even bother with the radio anymore. God Blessa!
  7. Slick Rick- Teacher, Teacher Tell me how you do it! God Blessa!
  8. -I finally quit my job at Target -I started college (a year late, but I started) -I had a girlfriend that drove me crazy while boring me at the same time, I broke up with her -I'm talking to a new girl now, I like her a lot more -I won the first Audio Battle on this board -I made a lot of friendly acquaintances -I continued to harass an old friend -I really began to eat better in order to maintain my already-manly physique -I fell in love with doing push-ups -And pull-ups -I've become very good at playing basketball by myself -I saw Happy Feet and I liked it -I made it so I can listen to Lost and Found while racing in Excite Truck on my Wii -I did well That's the year so far. God Blessa!
  9. Wow, how's the single doing on the charts? I've been bumpin the CD in my car all week. Deserves no.1. God Blessa!
  10. That's pretty hard to comprehend. But to answer your question (...I think): lil' Jon is (thankfully) not mentioned in Party Starter. His bare-bones style songs are referenced though. God Blessa!
  11. Man... I was just wondering about how he was doing the other day. He was a great musician. He did it all. Keep it funky. God Blessa!
  12. I'm going to be tossed around from family member to family member. I'll give my thanks to Jesus. I'll give and receive some gifts. I remember last year I ended up driving around by myself on Christmas night. I must have looked pretty cool. God Blessa!
  13. Even if she wasn't innocent it wouldn't matter, nobody would care if Chappelle made a song about the nameless girl he pissed on. R. Kelly pissed on his bed and now he has to lay in it. God Blessa!
  14. Have fun. Make the crowd have fun too. God Blessa!
  15. Yeah, the cover is nice. The big deal is March tho. Seems so far away now. God Blessa!
  16. "What? Do I got a boogie?" God Blessa!
  17. Sam Jackson wouldn't be that great of a friend because he'd never have any time to hang out. You'd basically need to follow him from set to set. I wonder what would happen to him if he had to take a year off? He seems like a cool guy though. Will could be a cool friend. I'd like to see how he acts around someone after he's known them for awhile. Jack Black could be cool, but he's probably more entertaining when there's others around you. Tom Cruise could be good to do fun things with (for example, race motorcycles). But God help you if you take him with you to your doctor appointment. God Blessa!
  18. All I have to go by is Will himself. God Blessa!
  19. I saw it a few days ago. I can see the song becoming the next big Christmas carol. God Blessa!
  20. Ha, reminds me of the Eminem interview except Al was funnier in this one. God Blessa!
  21. You're right! It's not like he can't, it's that he won't! I just thought of a way winning an Oscar could actually be worse for music fans. Maybe if he won it years ago for Ali, music might hold more priority to him, but he's 5 years older now. I think if he wins for PoH he might just keep signing on for more movies. God Blessa!
  22. Wow, so the movie is actually being made. This is great news for the music fans that hate themselves. God Blessa!
  23. Thanks for dropping the news. God Blessa!
  24. I'm sick of it too. Whenever I'd see a low point in Hip Hop it used to be because of the lyrical content. These southern rappers have taken it to a new low. I don't think that just because you're from the south you've got a free pass to be a terrible rapper. That broken, elementary school flow is not a style- it's a lack of talent. It hurts worse when I see people singing along to these 4-word bars like they mean something. I think the reason it's gotten so big is that any idiot can sing along to this crap- at least the hooks, try looking up the lyrics to these songs- you WILL think "This... this is stupid." Hip Hop has never been known for its grammatical correctness, but at least things used to make sense. These songs are just a collection of half-thoughts thrown over a club beat. They'll even admit that it's about getting stupid. They don't wanna think about anything. I don't think every song needs to be some deep experience but at least put some effort into it! God Blessa!
  25. It would be good to put the myspace link up: http://www.myspace.com/yourghostwriter But you can't download it so if someone could upload it that would be good. Also, I usually just listen to the next song each year, but I'd like to download them. Anyone know where I can get them? God Blessa!
