Hip Hop is at huge low right now. It needs a kick in the nuts to get its act back together. Artists are gonna have to step it up or get weeded out. Survival of the fittest. Definitely! Fly Paper reminds me of Crabbuckit. It doesn't really have the jazzy equivalent to Papercutz but that's really no strike against it. Musically, this album tops Joyful Rebellion and that's hard to do. The more I listen to the album, the more I like it. God Blessa!

I know WWW and I are the big k-os fans on this board but that doesn't mean there isn't room for more. He's an excellent artist. His new album Atlantis dropped today (at least in the US). I'm listening to it for the second time now and it's already proving itself to be in the same league as his last two albums (which are two of my favorite albums ever). What I love about this CD (and his others) is that there are no throwaway tracks. I always listen to them the whole way through. Musically, this album is amazing. Joyful Rebellion excelled in this department as well but I think he topped himself again. There is a lot of variety here: claps, guitars, bass, drums, strings, beatboxing... It's impressive stuff. For those that don't know much about the man as an artist: he's a rapper that can sing. It's not so much R&B as it is music that fits with the sound. He's been singing more since his first album. He is still very much a rapper but he does it in a more musical way. It's a switch-up that I can appreciate. It's very good stuff. Lyrically he's on point as well. If today's rappers sound stupid then k-os really puts them to shame. Not enough rappers put this much work into their music. BUT I'M NOT CRAZY. k-os didn't get me anything for my birthday (actually, it dropped today- on HIS birthday, take THAT Beyonce!), so the only reason I'm not being critical of this album is because I can't find anything to criticize. He takes his time and it really shows. If anything, you should buy this album because I'm an amazing guy and I know my stuff (I wouldn't do you wrong!). This will PROBABLY end up being my favorite album of 07. God Blessa!

It makes sense for film sets to have food because shoots could last all day. You could still bring your own though I suppose, assuming nobody steals it. I think the real news here is that Will is a possible slave driver! God Blessa!

I think the same as Tim on this. The promise of music brings up more to talk about- more to theorize, more to look forward to. Instead we're promised K-Smith is working with 50 Cent and his album will drop soon! It's a shock this place has any bandwidth for all the K-Smith driven traffic the board must be getting! I'm really disappointed that you guys see it that way. I said it was my own opinion that my verse was better. If I demanded an extension or something then you could call me a "crybaby." I'm giving you my honest thoughts on this and my honest thoughts are that not enough people voted. If Luigie got votes of 10 to 1 then so be it, at least people voted. I would be silently surprised but surprised no less. I really don't think I came off as complaining but if it looks that way then I'm sorry. The word is disappointed. I've felt like I did better in other battles that others beat me in but I stayed quiet no problem because, hey, at least people voted. Joe, you said you would have voted for Luigie anyway. That's part of my problem- you would have. I'd also like to make it clear that I'm not attacking Luigie in any way. Even my disappointment and surprise is waning. It's sort of getting replaced by anger at Turntable and Joe, lol. Don't get on me for voicing my thoughts on this. Get on me when I start bitching about it or get off my back. ! God Blessa!

My thoughts on this: Disappointment. I'm not only skeptical of the numbers but I'm disappointed in the turnout. I think Luigie is better than he was during the first Audio Battle but I feel my verse was better. But that's just my opinion. I've never seen such a low turnout in votes. Taking away my vote and taking away Luigie's vote that means that a grand total of 4 people voted while 9 people voted in the Lerkot vs. Da Ace competition. And of those 4 people none of them gave any comments. I think Da Brakes' dropout really tampered with people's interest in the battle (Brakes, congratulations but you picked a really bad time for me!). At least that's the most logical conclusion I can come up with concerning these poll results. At the same time, I'm a little glad I didn't have to continue. It's time consuming and it's tricky to do with a girlfriend and school pulling at your time... but the key word is "little." I really enjoy doing the battles. I'm confused over the results but that's life I suppose. But I may be so passive because I'm writing this at 2:30 in the morning. I will continue to write and record. I'll continue to enjoy it. At the end of the day I'm still Chris. God Blessa!
