  1. Well..my real name is Kaveh. Born in the north of sweden, I moved to the south when I was 4 to the city of Malmoe. Y'all in the U.S might recognize the city from a documentary FOX News did on the city about it's problems med gangs and immigration. You guys knowing football may know it from the hometown of Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. However, I study economics, but have a work too. I own my own company (until my 18:th birthday a couple of days ago it was registered under another name) which produces and sets up concerts and hiphopjams in Southern Sweden. I've worked with it in fours years now and it's my future work too. I've arranged and promoted concerts with: K-otix - A US underground hiphopband. Immortal technique - Probably one of the best rappers in the world from NY. Masta Ace - The most remberable concert, after and before the concert we sat and discussed hiphop, he gave me gossip on alot of rappers in the U.S. Really inspirering. Saian Supa Crew - Europe's best group. They're from France. Looptroop - Swedens internationally most known group that has toured with Non Phixion and Xzibit. I'm right now working in a group promoting a club that will lead to a huge oneday festival in my town with major U.S acts. While they are not confirmed these are in progress of negotiating: Common, Talib Kweli, Joe Budden & Dead Prez. If we can pull that off I've probably done everything I want to in my life att the age of 19-20 and can die happily =) I listen to Funk, Soul and Hiphop with my fav artists being JJFP, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Talib, Common, Mos, Biggie, Rakim.
  2. That's a average mama songs... there are much better songs than that. Remember...we're talking about LEGEND status..
  3. But ehm lol..Bow Wow was here before T.L. :lolsign: ← And before that he was gettin rhymes written by Snoop and JD =)
  4. And i respect your opinion about nas's work, let's just leave those discussions there =) I would call JD an important figure, but I really don't know if he's a Legend. it takes much to get up there with public enemy, slick rick, rakim etc. Kanye isn't a legend yet, but I think he has the potential of being one. His last album had an big impact and importance in the industry, and is debated to wether it is or not a classic. I say it is with the motivation that it's beats, lyrics, message is different than anything that was released major the last years. Alot of the songs had messages likes the one Common was bringing, Mos Def was, Dead prez was and Fugees was. And the last group getting huge succes was fugees. Kanye was able to do that again and if he didn't start a movement he re-opened, reinvented a movement, just like Africa Bambata, Public Enemy, NWA, Dr.Dre/Eazy-E did. The Movement he opened yet again was the one PublicEnemy had brought to life with their political songs. Now I know kanye is far away from that kind of music, but he IS the first rapper after the Fugees to bring on some consciousness to the masses (i don't count mos def, talib and common, cause they don't appeal to the mass) and has made alot ot issues being heard yet again. And that's why I say: With another or two other good albums with him stayying true to what he is about, he will be a legend. Just like the Fugees. Bow Wow isn't developed at all. I could have been talking of him as a legend or coming legend if he had written his own rhymes. But he doesn't. He rides on Jermaine and Snoop and gets som shine on dat. He doesn't start a movement, he doesn't do extraordinary songs, he doesn't do songs that change the game. He isn't anything..yet. And that new album is really, really wack.
  5. Bow wow gets his rhymes written by T.I. He ain't done **** to deserved to be called a legend. Dre uses ghostwriters, but he has done much more in other ways.
  6. Bow wow? please. No way. JD..no way. Kanye will be, the first album was a classic, I don't have high hopes on his next album but i really believe it will be really good. He doesn't need to do classics in rows to be a legend. Jigga did 3 classics with much time inbetween. He's def a legend. Nas is also a legend cause of illmatic, but he really hope he does another good album. Eminem will be a legend wether you like it or not. He's done alot of good songs, even though he's fallen off, he's done 3 very good albums, one okay album and one bad. That's a pretty aight achievement. Even on Encore he had good songs. Mosh, Toy Soldiers, Mockingbird. And if he won't be a legend in the mainstream he'll def be in battleworlds, known as one the best done it. 50 Cent got the potential, his first album was pretty good, Massacre is just the same, but worse, much worse. He needs to do something new and fresh til next album, if he doesn't, he wont' be a legend. Dr Dre is already a legend, come on..NWA, The Chronic.. He's def a a legend. Snoop needs to do a good album and then quit, cause if he does another wack ass album he'll be rememberd like the rapper who went out hard, cause he was never as big as Eminem. The Game made a really good debut and he got the potential of being a legend, he needs to make good moves in the future and not open his mouth to much. Bigted: I ain't gone debate on your opinions that are different from mine, so i'm gonna go with the things we have in common: Supastition will def be a legend in the future, maybe not mainstream, but underground. Really talented.
  7. And basically i really don't get how people didn't realize he would retire with the whole concept of Encore. The booklet, the last song. everything.
  8. Really good thing to do if he feels like he doesn't have the musical motivation to do it anymore. I've had mixed feelings about eminem, but for every really lousy song I hear from him i get reminded of that he's an very, very skilled rapper when he wants to be it. Lose yourself, Mockingbird, The way I am are all magnificant showcases of brilliant skills. So in that way it's pretty sad a skilled rapper is retiring. This also means the hiphopworlds needs a new king. Eminem was/is the king of hiphop mainstream. Hate it or love it, he's sold more than any rapper ever, he's got the most influence on hiphop worldwide with people from tadjikistan to the U.S wearing his clothes or listening to him. 50 Cent can't be the King even though he'll probably take the place preliminary. First of all he isn't as controversial to make the headlines, he isn't intellectually on the same level as Eminem (Mosh, White America), and he absolutly isn't on the same level of skills. I would love to see Kanye taking Jiggas place and just claiming the title. But, he won't be a king cause of the kind of music he does. It would be a real cool scenario if Dre stepped up with Detox and just took over again. I respect Dre alot. The Game is to dumb to be a king.
  9. I really don't thin dear summer is the best song. It mostly the haters that said that.. but then you can flip it around.. Memph solo song on jiggas albums was one of the best on that too...
  10. I haven't really been a fan of Bleek, and I still ain't. He doesn't strike me as the rapper to have fans. However, I've always listened to him cause of his good flow and really nice beats. So I just got my hands on 534 - his new album and is really impressed. I've always known he had real talent from his solo guest appearence on Jiggas album, but it was really nice hearing a solid album. This is a hiphopalbum. It got the dance songs, girl songs, hood songs and the serious songs. It's a album without a bad song, and without a really fantastic song, even though he hits it close with the last song - Straight Path. Straight Path is about turning your life around from being something bad to do something honorful, but your past will always hount you. It's about his friend, a former gangsta/thug who has turned his life around and is on his way to a 9-5 work as he gets shot in the brain and gets killed. chorus: "I said there's no such thing as a straight path my brother got hit the other day by a straight blast in the brain on the train on his way to work He gotta spend most his life doing dirt But as soon as he decides to get a 9to5 then why would God decide to take his life? There's no such thing as a straight path" outro: "I said there's no such thing as a straight path unless you come out the vomb on a straight path and if i live where i live how long will that last as we live everyday like it's our last" The album is as i said solid. a 3 outta five, 7 outta ten. Memph hasn't and will never be a huge rapper cause he hasn't any real attraction, he doesn't get to you. That doesn't really matter. Straight Path is one of the best songs i've heard this year.
  11. I went to see it tonight without any expectations cause i thought just like Tim...and it was like I thought minus the "crap". It was very hollywood, but it was fun and easy. Good one-liners and so. Good nights entertainment, but that's easy for me to say as my cousin had freetickets, it's really not a movie I would pay for to see in the cinema. It's one of those i would've downloaded =)
  12. I was in Playa Del Ingles for 3 days, it was there I heard Will's music. Or Else I was in Meloneras one day and the rest is Las Palmas.
  13. It makes me really wonder... how do these people think. I hope he didn't do this in the name of the struggle against occupation, because what the hell does the kids have to do with that. I mean... when he was approaching the area with the kids..did he feel good in his heart...knowing he will kill children? Does he really think he'll be a martyr for that? I understand the people doing resistance against the U.S presence in Iraq, but this man must have been sick.
  14. I'm reading the board and is stunned be the negativity, come on guys and girls. Partystarter will pick up, do you guys even remember how long it took for switch to catch on? It had it's peak a few weeks ago and was released in february! The only thing that could hold partystarter away from the top10 is appearences. Will may not do as much appearences to promote it even though he might go on a world tour later if that still is on? But chilll... He seems to know what he's doing. Take a breather, go chill in the sun. Eat ice-cream, listen to summertime.
  15. Hey.. the thing is i never thought british girls would be so good-looking. But they cought me off-guard.
  16. Thanks everyone! had a blast in spain! nice reading when coming back!
  17. Zup y'all? I've been in spain/ Gran Canaria / Canary Islands the last week celebrating my birthday with some friends. However, Last night we was drunk as hell out clubbing when we stepped in to the only RnB/Hiphop joint we could find, so we is chillin, listening to alot of 50 cent and Usher while checking out the fine spanish (and alot of british) girls. Then switch comes on, the place goes crazy (but it also did in the beginning of every single song that night) so I get pretty hyped, and being pretty wasted it does iis effect as I jump around screaming the lyrics. It was really nice hearing some nice music.. BUT, the cool thing wasn't that, it was that after switch the dj put on the summertime instrumental but with the intro of partystarter, and when the chorus came ini he switched to the full radio edit of Partystarter. And damn that song is DOPE in the club, much better than switch as the beat really makes you go insane (well that could also have been the bottles of sangria and tequila, dunno). Don't really know the meaning of this post besides it was a really dope night hearing partystarter in the club.

  20. Actually that ain't a nice rise, it's a very small rise. he did 26 last week 2 on this hitsdaily. It would be nice if he does 26 in the real one.
  21. Ha, biter! =) I ain't gonna post figures this and next week as i'm busy packing my bags, i'm off to spain for a week tomorrow. So hope it goes well. I think the effect of Live 8 won't be shown compleely this week but also next as live 8 was pretty late last week. If he does over 26k in this unofficiall chart, than i will be pleased.
