  1. Well put. Anyone thinking this movie will be even remotely watchable?
  2. Just joined.. gonna do some serious inviting later on and I'll also set up a poster in the JJFP Religion Temple.
  3. My computer is broken and I really need to find all those good old tracks I put up here some years ago. Do you have any? Contact me. If you wonder what to search for, the songs might be tagged "Gangsta Crew Death" or "Gonzo Tribe", but they might also not be tagged at all. I found this topic but all the links are dead, however, it might help you remember song titles:
  4. The interesting thing is that Hitler never found Jesse Owens that humiliating. Hitler actually waved his hand when Jesse passed him, which was more than Roosevelt ever did. Pretty cool video though, I understand a little bit too much German for it to work perfectely, but it was nicely done.
  5. To me, I find Pharcyde closest to JJFP. They got the same catchiness, comic rapping combined with a lot of important messages. Pharcyde is somewhat more explicit, doesnt have a DJ and of course didn't have the same longevity as JJFP, but if I had to pick one group similarity-wise, it'd be Pharcyde.
  6. I feel that the real thing is Gangsta rap + Swedish dance band... Thats my link tip of the day, of the week, of the month, of the year.
  7. Happy birthday my fellow Swedish JJFP-fan!
  8. Yeah.. they're all picturing a friend of mine, JFP.. he's also one of my rap buddies.
  9. You know, I've had this song for years on some kind of German hiphop-history CD and I've tried to find some information about it on the net, because I think it's pretty sweet and with two of hiphops biggest legends. However, I haven't been able to find any info about the song and it seems like no-one else except me got it so... I just wanted to share, there aren't too many good female rappers around, and most of the things with Sha Rock was with Funky 4 + 1.. so this is kind of different:
  10. Okey, this could be sort of interesting, but... Why is he standing shooting some golf balls in some kind of huge grey mosquito net? And why 21 seconds, can't he afford a better camera? :) Well, it's gonna be interesting too see if he'll upload some videos of value. Maybe talk a little music or so.. would be nice.
  11. Well... like Da Brakes.. I could see how some people might think he wrote it, since it's kind of his flow.. But its not that hard to detect differences either. It doesnt feel like Rakim's vocabulary and I don't know about the rhyme scheme either..
  12. Yeah, saw it on Youtube a week or go... really cool, didnt know that they performed that song at any event, but obviously. One of the better ones from And in this corner, I think.
  13. Havin the original on vinyl is really cool... and perhaps some day it'll be worth a lot of money to collectors, I don't know. Even if I would have hold on to it as long as possible myself.
  14. Walkmans really rock! But to be honest... I prefer mp3-players... a bit easier to deal with.
  15. It's been three years or so since I last posted anything in this topic so... I'm pretty much looking like I've always done.. bucket hats and hawaii shirts.
  16. People kind of seems to think it's too popish. Then, when I put the record on and they get to hear more than just the singles, they usually change their opinion.
  17. I think she got a point or two, but like AJ said; just forget it. However, I'm not sure what kind of solution she would have wanted. FPoBA did great without her, but without Will it would have been.. not so great.
  18. Well, in some way, I'm pretty happy for him, because he didn't seem too happy the last couple of years. Perhaps, in some way, this was the best that could happen to him. But it's still a loss to the world and a real shame it had to end that way.
  19. Yeah.. Soul Train always had that as a rule, that you had to do it playback.. only exception; MC Hammer, for some reason I dont understand.
  20. I remember that on my old computer I had some kind of Jazzy Jeff mix where he's doing some Run DMC and some from White Lines by GMF&F5 (well, he's not doing any white lines but he's scratching it). Anyone else heard this? Think it was quite rare.
  21. The best thing with the Urban Festival Concert was the cutting and scratching from Jeff, absolutely dope. I know most people here had it as mp3 earlier, so it should be around. Wouldn't say no to it.
