I think this will be LL's worst album...period.

I was surprised that the article enlightened any one on this board in any way...although it is well written, truth if you like good hip hop you have long since stopped caring about album sales, chart positions and radio spins...without which hip hop can be very much alive...

Well his subject matter is redundant, his flow is basic (distinctive at times), his rhyme schemes are elementary, has an over reliance on catchy hooks and beats to sell his records, he is very egotistical and he shows very little respect to anybody, and therefore isn't really deserving of it...I don't really like hating on rappers anymore, because hey dude did have to have a great business mind to get where he is right now....I'm just trying to explain why many hip hop fans don't check for the guy, and would rather see him retire than bombard their tv's and radios.It's definitely not a matter of jealousy because many of my favorite rappers are extremely wealthy and have had their fare share of success (Will Smith, Jay, Nas etc...).

My only beef with Kanye is how he can sometimes hit you with amazing (not necessarily complex but heartfelt) lyrics and then do some ego tripping ABC rhymes which anybody could have come up with. I think his beat game right now is ridiculous! The Game, South side,Stronger and Can't Tell Me Nothing all have grat invetentive and distinctive sounding beats

Yeah I saw this...some priceless lines and a few off color racial shockers which i could have done without...

What kind of missteps? I like the video/song btw. God Blessa! I think it was a bit harsh of me to say "missteps" since I've only heard the album once. There were a couple of songs where I didn't feel the chemistry of the beats and rhymes in the song, but it might grow on me.

I heard the album...it is just classic PE with a couple of forgivable missteps. I think we should all buy a copy of this when it comes out!

It's not like there's much to talk about around here these days anyway...

Yeah dude is still below average despite the average track...I would rather it was just omarion on the song.
