  1. Nicole that is a hilarious story! I still get star-struck too like I just want to ait and talk about so many things with him but only have a quick minute or two at a show so I'm speechless or its a few rapid-fire questions hahah. He definitely has the perfect level of fame. 2-time Grammy award winner, millions of albums/records sold worldwide, on the TV show and yet he can still go shop at the mall and be left alone...lol. On top of all the fame, he is genuinely one of the nicest people I ever met.
  2. I wonder if he's lip-syncing. Usually there's some ad-libing between verses and what not, I feel like this is another Soul Train like performance. Still good tho! Interesting how they went with Summertime on New Years Eve ...lol. I would've thought Ring My Bell or Things That U Do would be a better choice. Thanks Ale!
  3. This was awesome. I dont think Jeff knows how fascinating he is, every story, his insight is incredible. Thanks for posting!
  4. Good call Tim, when I was listening to it in my car the background music was a little too high. Great work nonetheless though!
  5. Crazy he didn't like those records right?! I was stunned by that too. I'm not sure if anyone remembers but Will did an interview with Big Boy in LA back in 2001/2002-ish and he was asked what was the worst song he ever did. He said "Boom! Shake the Room" was really wack. That's also a surprise too.
  6. All I can say is.....wow! I've been nagging Kev on facebook and twitter the last few days because I was so excited for this and couldn't wait to hear it. Kev - you uploaded it at the perfect time. You last tweeted me at 4:45pm my time and as soon as 5 o'clock came, I sprinted out of work and quickly hooked this up to my car so I could listen to it/watch it (eyes on the road, of course lol) on my commute home. This was very enjoyable. I love how Jeff knows exactly how we feel from a fan's perspective. He was talking about the 1-on-1 relationship and interaction with the fans and its still surreal that he knows some of us here on a first name basis and goes out of his way to do these things for us (hookups at shows, facebook comments, music...etc). I'm so appreciative of it.. Thanks for asking about Code Red. That was probably the one question I asked that I hoped would make it on the interview. I'm with Tim on this one, I love Code Red. I love all the albums but Code Red is really a masterpiece. It's so fascinating to hear that they thought they were losing Jive's support. I'm almost baffled by it because at the time, it was only a few months after Homebase hit with Summertime and the duo was on TV every Monday night. Also, no one on hip-hop blogs/media/reviews ever mention Code Red. Jeff mentioned the clashes they had between the artistry and commercial music and it kinda makes me wonder at the end of Scream, how Will is sort of rapping like Dr. Dre/Snoop Dogg. It's pretty funny if he's subliminally mocking Jive and the commercial sound at the time. AJ - hell of a question man. That was really thought-provoking. Also, big thanks to everyone involved in orchestrating this. I lived vicariously through you guys and I hope there's more fan Q&A's to come. Literally - the best JJ interview ever.
  7. Yes - the whole thing please appreciate it my man.
  8. Awesome stuff guys! I can't wait for this interview. I'm living vicariously through you all. Glad you guys had such a great time. One day, I have to make it overseas and meet up with you. It will come.
  9. For some reason, as good as this is, I think this is one of his worst performances. I feel like there's just something missing with the vocals or maybe he sounds nervous? I just cant put my finger on it.
  10. 2 last questions that I can think of... Does Jeff read every tweet he's mentioned in and every facebook message? Any plans of making any JJFP mixes/remixes? Thanks Kev!
  11. Nicole - I'm so glad you and Jeff are on board for this. For years, we've always had these questions but never the opportunity to ask them., I know personally, whenever I see Jeff, I just want to talk about so much with him but never really the chance since the clubs do get hectic with everything going on. I'm so excited for this - I can't wait!! A couple other questions.. 1. How many songs would Jeff and Will do on average for an album? 2. Did JJFP get to choose what songs would be singles or was that Jive? 3. Aside from When to Stand Up, are there other songs Jeff did with Eminem or if both JJFP recorded a track with Eminem? 4. Why is Will often reluctant to talk about rapping nowadays? He seems to be very tight-lipped about making music whenever it's mentioned in interviews. Any reason behind it? This is gonna be EXCELLENT!
  12. 1.) Did he and Will ever meet 2pac and Biggie? 2.) Where was the I'm Looking for the One (to be with me) video shot? Who's idea was it to make it like a home video? 3.) What ever happened to El Sid and Jazz Fresh from the song "Trapped on the Dance Floor" ?
  13. Ahh Kev - this is something I've always wanted to do! You're so lucky...I'm glad you're doing this! Ok here's my questions..tell him Jim from New Jersey asks lol so he knows hah 1.) Jeff recently tweeted that he's going to be posting an unreleased track every week. What's the possibility of some JJ+FP unreleased tracks? Is there a lot of unreleased tracks? 2.) It's the 20th Anniversary of the Code Red album - in my opinion, the greatest JJFP album. What does Jeff remember most about making that classic album? 3.) Speaking of JJFP albums, is there any chance they could be remastered?
  14. This is really good! Funny thing is, Jeff mixed the two tracks during his Live at the Do-Over 2013 set back in May. Its genius!
  15. AJ, was club MTV just music playing or did artists ever perform? Seems pretty cool. I was only 3 at the time...LOL
  16. Club MTV....1991 Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince - Ring My Bell. Not an actual performance nor were they there live but its cool to see how Ring My Bell was such a banger. I think its one of JJFP's most underrated tracks.
  17. This is great, Jeff is the man! Its tweets like that from Jeff that really make my day.
  18. I really enjoyed this episode. I felt like I was one of the bro's on the bus just kicking it with everyone.
  19. Thanks guys! Its really challenging to make two songs work but I'm having a lot of fun with this. It's such a great device and I'm trying to really unleash its power. lol
  20. Hey guys, Tim told me about the Numark Mixtrack Pro a few months ago and I purchased one for myself (at a great deal on Amazon lol) - I finally recorded my first mix...nothing special but let me know what you think.. Justin Timberlake & Jay-Z "Suit & Tie" x Bruno Mars "Treasure" https://soundcloud.com/djmozz/suit-tie-treasure Thanks!
  21. The scenery is breathtaking! Wow - that was really neat, I felt like I was sitting right there along side in the Jeep. Great stuff! Thanks Nicole!
  22. This sounds so amazing - wow. I was nodding my head to the beats in the video. I'm pretty excited for this as it sounds like something fresh! Good looking out, Nicole! Thanks.
