  1. That's the thing. I think he does know but just isn't feeling it right now. I don't want to say he's done with music but it has been 3 years since L&F. I hope I'm wrong but I think L&F was his last album. I just think he wanted to say all needed to say on that album and then leave the game. Co sign with TopDawg! I had this feeling about L&F when I listened to it the first time...back then when i said it, nobody wanted to believe it. Nowadays it seems to become more and more the truth!
  2. Not, when you are the most powerful actor in the world!
  3. I don't care who is the writer or the cast...as long Spielberg directs a Will Smith movie! lol
  4. I checked allhiphop.com lately again and there was a thread going on how will never gets credit for his contributions to hip hop. I am an JJ+FP for about more than 10 years and I realized that there has been a shift of thinking in peoples head. Even when Big Willie Style was out, there were not such threads on public hip hop boards and Will has not released an album since 3 years. It seems like that L+F has resurrected his rap career...what do you think about the impact of the album?
  5. Kanye seems to be arrogant and foolish sometimes, but his music is awesome! Great production, good lyrics and average flow. I don't feel his new stuff (autotune crap), but College Dropout put conscious hip hop (Mos Def, Talib Kweli) into mainstream again, when commercial garbage like eminem, nelly and 50 cent was running this rap ****. Furthermore he put Chi-town back on the map (Twista, Common, Lupe Fiasco, Rhymefest, Gemini) and they are definately Hip Hop capitol nowadays.
  6. You can't do wrong with a movie, when spielberg is involved!
  7. I never thought this will happen...I am so happy about it and that I am currently in the USA as an exchange student and be part of this historic moment tops everything!
  8. It would be dope if he did one record with Eric Sermon! I found out that JJ+FP was also with EPMD on tour. Managed early on by Russell Simmons' RUSH Management, the group toured with such hip-hop luminaries as Run-DMC, Public Enemy, and DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EPMD
  9. There were rumors when L+F came out, that Elephant recorded a song with Will and Redman for his album. But until today the track has not leaked to the public.

  11. Does anyone know this song? It is on Beatnuts "Stone Crazy" album...I like it...the MIB instrumental kills it!
  12. http://www.indiatarget.com/cgi-bin/detailnews.cgi?id=7749 Hollywood is always Aishwarya's cup of tea. She is as prominent in Hollywood as she is in Bollywood. After starring in some Hollywood projects like 'Mistress of Spices', 'The Last Legion' and yet to be released Pink Panther, Ash is becoming a household name in overseas. Now the actress is again eyeing international project with Will Smith in the lead role. Speaking to a news daily, Aishwarya said, "There is the possibility of a movie with Will Smith and I am very excited about it because the script is fabulous and no doubt, he is a great actor and is a funny companion to work with." Expressing her gratitude for the international attention she is getting, the actress said, "I consider myself very fortunate to have enjoyed a fantastic support from a widespread section of audience... I am very thankful for that kind of love and support because it has given me the confidence and strength of enjoying myself and explore different genres, be it art, commercial or historical, I have done it all." Will Smith is a great admirer of Ash and repent for not getting her for his early projects like Hancock and Seven Pounds. As it is said, better late than never, he is happy that Ash has finally shown her interest to act with him. The comedy genius also expressed his desire to work in Bollywood. I think the movie script she is talking about is "The Last Pharaoh". I think Ash would fit perfect in that movie!

  15. I will be anticipating Detox, mostly because of Dre. I have no expectation at him when it comes to lyrics and rapping, because that has been always whack or average from him. His production and his beats have always been the bomb. It will be interesting to see if Eminem can return to his SSLP or MMLP days. 50 cent=Black Vanilla Ice..thats all I am gonna say about him!
  16. THEY ARE COMING: 50 CENT, EMINEM and DR. DRE.... Sha Money XL would know about the "Three Headed Monster"...: "All I gotta say is,who said Hiphop is dead?or do you wanna kill ya self? Either way, your dead! You can "Self Destruct" now or" Detox" later, either way your gonna feel "The Empack". The monster is coming, drop your lp's right now,2009 will not be your year. There coming... This is for the fans, the streets, the clubs, the east, the west, the south, the blogs the whole HIPHOP World!!" probably will be a good blast off for his blog, probably why he put this up to get the hype going... http://www.allhiphop.com/stories/rumors/ar...9/20537951.aspx
  17. Absolutely bull****! It was always a combination of hip hop and rnb...Will did what he always did best...crossover hip hop from underground to mainstream and hip hop with rnb (new jack swing) New jack swing, or "swingbeat"[2], is a hybrid style popular from the late-1980s into the mid-1990s, which fuses the rhythms, samples and production techniques of hip-hop with the urban contemporary sound of R&B. The new jack swing style developed as many previous R&B styles did, by combining elements of older styles with newer trends. It uses mellifluously soulful solo or harmonizing vocals sung over rhythms and "street" beats derived from urban musical influences. The sound of new jack swing comes from the hip hop "swing" beats created by drum machine, and hardware samplers, which was popular during the golden age of hip hop, with contemporary R&B style singing. The Ghostbusters film franchise helped spread new jack swing songs by Ray Parker, Jr. and Bobby Brown, who was nicknamed The King of New Jack Swing. The NBC sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel Air[/b] also boosted the spread of this culture, as the star of the show, Will Smith, was known initially for his hip-hop duo with DJ Jazzy Jeff. During the very first episode of the long running series, Will Smith enters one of the very first scenes dancing to the new jack swing classic by Soul II Soul titled "Back To Life". A Different World and In Living Color are other sitcoms of the era which exhibit influences from the new jack swing style. Video Soul, Soul Train and Showtime at the Apollo of course had their significant influence during this era but a daily late night show titled The Arsenio Hall Show helped to promote these acts, many of which performed on his talk show.

  19. I am Legend is a great movie, but to make a sequel is like making one for ID4..the only sequel that makes sense is BB3
