I don't think downloading music is cool at all. Record companies may be greedy, but when u don't buy a song/album u like, u are taking money out of the pocket of artists who create. When u are an artistic person and u don't get what is owed 2 u...it's hard 2 wanna create, it's hard 2 even think about your fans when they don't support u. Before the internet got big, look at music. Music, as a whole waz much better. Albums were a little cheaper, record companies released CD singles and more Home Videos. Since the internet has gotten so big, the quality of music has suffered, record companies don't put out CD singles or Home Videos as much, and artists are jerked around even more. The only time i'll download something is if it's something like that Arkitek Remix of "Switch" where there is no intention of releasing it. If i download an actual song, it's only cuz i plan on buying the album when it 1st comes out. Downloading music 2 experiment and see if u like it is cool....but there is no excuse 2 download a song u can buy in stores and not supporting that artist. I don't like Nelly, but i liked his "Over And Over" song, so i bought the import single. Even tho' i think he has contributed 2 ruining Rap's commercial image, i still went out there and got the single cuz i like that song. There is no excuse, downloading a song u like and not buying their music is stealing...BOTTOM LINE. Put yourself in the artists' shoes.

lambert, what world are u living in? Nas is one of the most respected emcees. I don't even listen 2 much Nas, but i respect most of his work. 50 Cent has alot of commercial success...but he's a joke. U can love him all u want, but compare his music Rakim's...there's no comparison. Please tell me where i'm not thinkin' clearly. Hip-Hop has been my music for about 20 years...and u are gonna tell me i don't know what good Hip-Hop is? 50 Cent hates on everyone and disses everyone. He's has lots of money, no friends, and dosen't take care of his own son. He's a loser...he's a joke. Read my original post, i posted exactly what happened in the interview. It's one of those things that i don't think u can expect 2 change. People are gonna steal stuff from the internet i don't see see a way of stopping that. Look at it this way...the reason this site waz created was to get news out there 2 the fans. Not ever JJ+FP fan has the internet and visists this site...so by places stealing news from this site, they are getting it out 2 the people who need 2 hear the news the most. After all, some of the non-music news right now is nothing but tabloid stuff. It's better they jack the music news from here than blow up the negative tabloid press he's gotten. Anyways, the news waz stolen from other sites b4 it waz posted here.

I'm talking about people in general...some people read stuff about him kissing Eva, or having an "open" relationship with Jada, or having a gun and stuff like that, and they WANT 2 say the worst about him when 99% of the time, it's tabloid magazines that come up with these stories. Nobody's perfect, and i don't expect FP 2 be a saint, but alot of the recent news that isn't related 2 his music or movies are negative posts about his life and none of that stuff is based off legit news.

Why are u listening 2 50 Cent...especially if u are acknowleging his lack of skillz?!? And i've never heard any good beats under him since his first came out.

When i make a new version of my JJ+FP "Summertime" album (jammed with all the summery songs...Summertime, Block Party, Lovely Daze, Just Cruisin', etc)...i'll probably put this R&B Remix of "Switch" on it as well.

SOUL IV REAL - Every Little Thing I Do It's playing in the background of a scene in an episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air where Carlton runs away cuz of all his disappointments in life and Ashley throws a party cuz the parents are away. Great song, Soul IV Real waz dope...i wish they were still around.

That Usher 8701 album is amazing. Everytime i pop it in, it takes me back 2 summer 2001. "U Don't Have To Call" is actually my least favorite track on the album, i waz devistated when they chose it as a single. It's success waz really cool also since the album waz supposed 2 drop in 2000, but after the 1st single "Pop Ya Collar" didn't do so well, the started recording again, reworked it, and it turned in2 the monster it is. I think everything Usher dose is amazing tho'...i think alot of the people who hate on him don't really give him a chance...alot like FP.

I don't know anything about Robin Thicke, but after hearing this...i'll definitly check him out. FP kinda sounds like he's reciting about lullabye in the beginning of the song. :hilarious: I'd like 2 hear Usher on this remix!!

I can't believe so many people think the R-N-B Remix is the best. Yeah, it sounds great...but "Switch" isn't that kinda song. It's like hearing "Just The Two of Us (The Explicit Version). It just dosen't make sense.

There's no way i'll download the album...that's just stupid 2 me. U can't beat hearing a song 4 the 1st time when u buy the CD. So far i've heard "Switch" downloaded and i thought it waz just okay. But then i got the promo single and that made me like the song a WHOLE lot more. Hearing music over the computer or hearing downloads is just awful...it takes everything away from the song is really about. I heard parts of "Party Starter" and "Pump Ya Breaks" in radio quality thru' download...and they don't impress me that much. I know that i'll love them more when i hear the album. Downloads are just disappointments 2 me. I'll listen 2 a few snippets when they are available, but i'm not downloading the album. While we are on the topic, anyone who dose download the album and dosen't buy the album the 1st week it drops need 2 be banned from the board...PERIOD.

Not always, after all, i got Jeff's screenname (amoungst other close 2 them). Tim has got 2 go 2 one a movie premier or 2...and handful of the people on this board have gotten 2 meet him in person.

I gotta stick with the original. The R-N-B Remix is dope, but it dosen't support the real vibe of the song. Even tho' i've heard only a few seconds of that remix with Elephant Man, i don't think a guest artist is what the song needs. I gotta go with the original, i think it captures the vibe of the song perfectly.

Well, i'd be disappointed in him 2 if i believed all the negative press and tabloid newz. But as a long time supporter of him, i don't believe he's livin' like that...so all these means nothing 2 me.
