  1. I think the other version of the 1987 Rock The House is better than that one. The other version is in color with lots of pix all over it. The original release of Rock The House has the Oakenfold + Laidly Mix of "Girls...," a slightly different version of "Rock The House" (which may be the same version but only slightly mixed differently), and a different version of "Don't Even Try It" which kinda sounds like how Whodini sounded...more electronic sounds and synthesizers. I'm pretty sure version u posted is the same as the one i have but with a differnt cover.
  2. I think that if they get multiple requests, it's possible. As long as Lost + Found dose really well, and the receive letters while it's doing really well, they may consider it. Jive isn't doing much. NSYNC and Britney Spears aren't really doin' anything right now. R. Kelly's album had moderate success and the one with Jay-Z basically flopped. Nivea is comin' back out, but it's not like her single is blowin' up really big. Zomba re-opened LaFace under their wing and Usher is the only artists really makin' moves under that label. I don't think that an album of b-sides and remixes is likely 2 happen. That stuff never happens these days. But if it did happen, it would only happen after they did something like remastering and re-releasing their original albums. It's one of those thing that would never happen if we don't try...so why not. It only takes 5-10 minutes to write an intellegent request for something like that.
  3. I know most of u have given up on the Insterscope Will Smith Message Board, and with good reason. But i'm hanging in their, sacrificing my patience and tolerance with every single visit. Anyways, i'm hoping Lost + Found with bring out the fans and that the message board flies will fall off soon. My method of trying 2 keep the board kinda balanced is by overdoing the double post. This message board is the main source 4 real newz and deep conversation, but from now on i'm gonna double post every JJ+FP topic over there. If anyone else feels like cutting and pasting their stuff over there, by all means, join in. I think i'm gonna start and appriciation post 4 every song he's ever done. Man, i'm desperate.
  4. Hey, if someone gets me Jive's address and posts it, i'll write a letter 2 them about it. I'll also breifly mentioned remastering all the albums and adding bonus tracks. After that, anyone else who wants 2 can send them a letter 2.
  5. This isn't really an inconsistency...but there's that episode where Hillary buys Uncle Phil and Aunt Viv those crazy ugly light green golf shirts...and their neighbor keeps breaking windows with flying golf balls. Close 2 the end of the episode, the neighbors come over, and Jeff is their gold caddie...and in that rediculous costume. He's only in the episode for like 3 seconds. I wonder if he flew out 2 LA just 2 shoot that then go home. Looks like Jeff beat FP 2 the role of a golf caddie. FP had 2 wait until 2000 2 play on in The Legend of Bagger Vance.
  6. Ahhh....what a sight for sore eyes. A Hip-Hop album without an Explict Lyrics sticker. That cover is so ill....it looks like a classic. The music dosen't even need 2 be good. :wiggle:
  7. Me and Wes were talking about He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper 2day...here's just an idae i came up with during our conversation. Since He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper is an undeniable classic. And since people still love them, as a group, and as solo artists decent sales are guarenteed. It's time they re-release the album, remastered, and as a double disc with the extended versions of the trax that were only put on cassette and vinyl. They can fill up the rest of 2nd disc with the remixes and alternate versions of the the album trax off the singles. They can also extend the CD cover cuz it always bugged me that all u see is Jeff and that "phantom hand" pointing at him...that's kinda creepy.
  8. One thing that always amused me waz the inconsistency of DJ Jazzy Jeff's character Jazz. In some episodes he's credited as DJ Jazzy Jeff, and in others he's credited as Jeffery A. Townes. That always cracked me up cuz serious actors always use their middle initial...and Jeff never intended on acting seriously). He made a deal with the producers that he wouldn't do a scene unless FP waz in the scene as well (no solo scenes). That's why u didn't see many scenes where FP wazn't on the set with him or entering/leaving the room shortly after being alone. In the later seasons, after it waz clear that there would be no JJ+FP albums, it looks like Jeff kinda gave in, cuz later seasons featured scenes where FP wazn't in them. Jeff also complained about being thrown out of the front door and getting a little banged up, which is why u'll see him wearing the same shirt in a few episodes. The funniest thing 2 me waz that u see him on the basketball court in the "Yo! Home To Bel-Air" video/theme (which takes place in Philly), but then during the 2nd episode, FP meets him as a drummer from Cali. Can anyone think of anything else?
  9. I never noticed that. R u saying they said Compton on the show when it aired but that they edited it for the DVD release?
  10. As some of you know, DJ Jazzy Jeff goes by the name George Glass when he mixes trax (the key 2 making or breaking a song sometimes). He's a HUGE fan of the campy 70's show The Brady Bunch and there's an episode where Jan lies about having a boyfriend...who's name is George Glass. As a fan, Jeff took the name and uses it from time 2 time as a joke when crediting himself. Anyways, i waz channel flippin' and TV Land waz airing a Brady Bunch reunion special. If they air it again and u guys catch it, u'll see a clip where Jan comes up with name George Glass when lying 2 her parents.
  11. Big Ted in the house once again. My brotha from anotha motha always speaks his mind...and mine at the same time. That link waz hilarious by the way.
  12. I agree with some of the statements made that support downloading music. But from the people i know on the internet, nearly everyone of them fall in 2 the category where i consider them theives.
  13. I'm watching yet another long block of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. I can't believe how many episodes i totally 4got about. I can't tell u how great it is 2 have your favorite TV show on for 3 hours almost every single night.
  14. Thanx 4 posting that!! I know i speak 4 everyone when i say we appriciate it. I never really doubted him and Jada...but it's always good 2 see nasty rumors like that shut down.
  15. BRIAN MCKNIGHT - Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda I think this is one of the top 5 R-N-B songs of 2003...one of the best of all time as well.
  16. A Rapper is strictly someone who raps. Fresh Prince is a rapper...but so is 50 Cent. Anybody can rap. Fred Durst raps. An Emcee is a wordsmith, someone who can move the crowd. Emceeing is more about the creative writing side and then relating 2 your audience, whether it be a live crowd or someone listing 2 your music on a CD/cassette or vinyl. Not every rapper is an emcee. Fred Durst isn't and emcee. 50 Cent isn't an emcee. Fresh Prince IS and emcee. LL Cool J is an emcee. Rakim is an emcee. Emcees make Hip-Hop music. Rappers just rap over beats. 50 Cent raps, so he's a rapper who happens 2 make rap music. Linkin Park has rappers in their group, but they aren't a rap group and they don't make rap music...but that's the way it is. I think it's important 2 know what is Hip-Hop and what isn't. 50 Cent isn't Hip-Hop. Some people like his music, that's their opinion, but it's fact that he isn't Hip-Hop. Some people don't like FP, which is their opinion, but they can't deny that he makes Hip-Hop music. Labeling stuff 2 much is silly, but when i hear people say Nelly or G-Unit is Hip-Hop, i get all defensive cuz i'm a Hip-Hop head and i don't like the idea of someone thinking they make music that represents me.
  17. Ummm...we are talking album/single covers here. 2 of those aren't singles and "So Fresh" didn't have any artwork 4 the cover....ha ha. I guess u thought it waz another "fav song" post. My favorite album/single covers are... HOMEBASE - Just a great candid cover. It fits the vibe of the album perfectly. CODE RED - Very simple, yet again, fits the album. The slightly altered colors and the low camera angle give it some abstract flava 2 the picture. I WANNA ROCK and RING MY BELL. I just like these alot. None of their solo covers are that incredible. All of them are good, but wouldn't say they are as good as the later JJ+FP covers. I think Lost + Found will break that streak tho.'
  18. Yeah, that copy held me over until i found the official promo, which i didn't know waz actually gonna be released.
  19. I like the idea of punishing celebrities for purposly putting out negative things in interviews. Maybe people like 50 Cent, who obvoiusly think they are indistructable and perfect would watch their mouth. It's 4 his own benifit, his recent interviews make him sound like the biggest idiot in the world. Maybe those phoney rappers out there would watch the front that they put on if their commercial accesability would be threatened.
  20. Hey Wes, maybe u should do something important like take it back 2 Big Willie Style and do the Keith B-Real skits. Jus' playin' :hilarious:
  21. Another thought, Ready Rock C might know if there is anything recorded. I'll drop him an e-mail and see what he says.
  22. How is that group?? I heard about them nearly 10 years ago but i've never heard a song from them. I saw a used copy of their latest album and almost got it the other week cuz the price waz really good...but i still didn't cuz i didn't know what i waz about 2 buy?
  23. The official promo release of this isn't that hard 2 find and isn't 2 expensive these days. The MP3 version sucks. I got that version originally as a download, but then i found the promo and the sound quality is great. Since this waz only released as a promo, i'd be willing 2 make a CD copy if u are interested. But i'd check around the internet 1st 4 the real thing.
  24. I highly doubt we'll ever find anything like that. I've looked 4 that kinda stuff for YEARS and nothing has ever really popped up. Since they were known for rockin' parties, they may have never even recorded anything professionally. There is some rare JJ+FP stuff from the early days that u can find every once in awhile after tons of digging...but not alot of people who own bootlegs and stuff like put that stuff up on the internet.
