Bow Wow Responds to Lil' Romeo and Master P
JumpinJack AJ replied to bigted's topic in Caught in the Middle
Is this immature...YES. But it's still entertaining...ha ha. Cuz even tho' Bow Wow is walking around all cocky these days and saying ignorant things...he has called Master P and Lil' Romeo out and is statin' facts. Master P's career has quickly disappeard since his hay day in 1998/1999. Lil' Romeo's career only lasted from 2000-2002. -
If they were gonna just make it an 11 track CD, they should have jammed it tight with the singles. Yeah, it's called "The Very Best of..." but a Greatest Hits theme would make more sense. Only 5 of those 11 trax were succesful singles. The others are just album trax or underground circulated type hits. I would have did a lil' somethin' like this... 1. I Wanna Rock 2. I'm Looking For The One (To Be With Me) 3. Boom! Shake The Room 4. Summertime 5. Ring My Bell (Mr. Lee's Extended Remix) 6. The Things U Do 7. The Groove (Grover's Groove) 8. I Think I Can Beat Mike Tyson 9. Brand New Funk 10. Parent's Just Don't Understand 11. Girls Ain't Nothing But Trouble (1988 Remix) I know i chose a few smaller hits over some bigger hits. But 2 celebrate JJ+FP in 2006, i'd wanna focus more on the later stuff. Then load the package with some un-used Code Red promo pix. I'll still gladly pick up the album. Tim just recently picked up "Before The Willennium"...i'm sure he thought it waz worth the money...ha ha.

Somethings aren't even worth giving a chance...and anything with the G-Unit name on it is one of those things. When it comes 2 G-Unit, u can expect ignorance and stupidity wrapped up in one untalented package.

It looks like Jive is gonna release another JJ+FP greatest hits CD. It's highly likely this will be one of those 10 track CDs with all the biggest singles and a 2 paged-insert. But who knows, since "Switch" waz a hit, they might surprise us with a b-side, a remix, something unreleased, another new remix (like Summertime '98), or even some of FP's solo hits. We only have about a month and a half 2 find out. It's good that Jive is releasing it and not another company. There's a better chance that it won't suck since their record lable is releasing it. At least we can hope for rare photo's 2 be somewhere on the package.

Reccomend some good Alternative/Cross Genre music!
JumpinJack AJ replied to markwinfield1's topic in Caught in the Middle
The Judgement Night soundtrack has lot of Hip-Hop/Rap and Rock collabos....Run-DMC, De La Soul, Onyx, Cypress Hill, Sir Mix-Alot...alongside Living Colour, Pearl Jam, etc. The Tony Rich Project mixes R-N-B and Soul with some Rock on his 2003 album. 4th Avenue Jones' most recent album mixes Hip-Hop, R-N-B and Rock. DMC's album has various flavas mixed in with Hip-Hop. Martin Luther has R-N-B Soul mixed in with Rock. Speech combines Hip-Hop, R-N-B, Soul, Reggae all 2gether. Gospel singer Nicole C. Mullen mixes alot of acoustics and a dash of rock in some of her R-N-B sound...along with some Hip-Hop Natasha Bedingfield and Nelly Furtado mix alot of different styles 2gether in their music. Jason Mraz is a light rock and acoustic kinda artist...but he mixes soul, Hip-Hop, Reggae/Dancehall, and Jazz in with his stuff. He's most recent single is a perfect example..."Geek In The Pink." -

My thoughts on Cam'ron's attack on Jay Z
JumpinJack AJ replied to TragicallyInept's topic in Caught in the Middle
I didn't read that article and i don't follow either of their careers 2 closely. But when it comes 2 skillz, i ride with Cam'ron. When he came out, i followed him kinda closely and really liked alot of his songs. Even his more recents were decent. But after Jay-Z's 1st album, i didn't like him much at all. Jay-Z's attitude, music, and some of his actions are a joke 2 me. I'll read this article when i have more time...but looking at things as is...i favor Cam'ron. -

I love "Contol Myself." The old school "Planet Rockish" beat along with LL's "Going Back To Cali" flow is brilliant 2 me. All that wrapped up in a song 4 the clubs and Jennifer Lopez on the hook. It's just a dope song for the clubs and the radio. It's the only song on his album like that. And all of my friends are feelin' it 2...so he's doing something right. I can't blame of the song's success on Jay-Z...it's all LL, baby. -
Master P's music is awful...but i give him props for supporting FP while addressing Bow Wow's immaturity issues.

"Party Starter" waz the perfect 2nd single. However, by the time it dropped...it waz time 2 release "Tell Me Why." "Tell Me Why" needed 2 be released...period. Whether it waz then, now, or later. That song needed 2 be released. Not just 4 commercial success...but cuz people need 2 hear it. Pretty much ever song on Lost + Found would have made a good single/video/radio hit, but i'm thinkin' "I Wish I Made That / Swagga" would have been a good choice. Since it's 2 songs in one, and since they are very different, they would be appealing to 2 different kinds of music fans. Not 2 mention "I Wish..." totally attacking his greatest weakness...a lack of support from TV and radio.

I think it waz Flavour Flav who' said "every new school turns old school." So anyone knocking someone for being old school is a fool. After all, with out the old school, there would be no new school. Those doors would have never been opened 4 this newer guys. However, when i think of old school, i think of class, i think of fun, and i think of skillz. I can't see alot of the artists who have energed in the 90's and the 2000's as EVER being old school. They just did their thing in a different era. I could never see Jay-Z as old school. He lacks what the old school artists have/had. And when that whole flossing, bling bling crap dies away...he'll just be another 90's/00's artist. -
Odd Question? But who likes Nick cannons music?
JumpinJack AJ replied to markwinfield1's topic in Caught in the Middle
Thanx 4 that!! -
I actually like "What You Want" better than "It's LL And Santana." But when it comes 2 mic skillz, i like Juelz Santana more than Freeway. I don't plan on getting albums by either of them...but Juelz Santana sounds like he be more my style. I wish he's nixed them and put FP and Busta in their place...ha ha.

Reasons for Will Smith's "Image"
JumpinJack AJ replied to sonic1988's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
Your friend is an idiot. FP does what he wants...period. He isn't trying 2 be old school. He's from the old school and he's always gonna have traces of that in his music whether he tries 2 or not. Check Chuck D, LL, Ice Cube, Rev Run, DMC, and so on. Their current music is all true 2 their old stuff...while still fresh 2 what they are doing 2day. Lots of this new jack commerical rappers not only lie where they come from, but they don't tell u where they really come from. FP's music is 4 a certain kinda music fan. I think that kinda person repects intellegent people, old school flava, positive music, true-2-self lyrics, and so on. The fact that he said the bass isn't enough is rediculous. What did he do, download the album and listen 2 it on his computure. He can ride with me and hear it thru' my stereo....cuz it's fine 2 me. And the whole sampling issue...puh-leez. Has he noticed that Hip-Hop music started by sampling other people's records?!?! Besides, FP hasn't done 2 much sampling since Willennium. -
