  1. Yeah, this is definitly in my top 3 videos they've done. I actually say it on TV twice...and i own a promo music video tape that contains the video. Jive needs 2 release a JJ+FP music video DVD with the new Greatest Hits album so we can finally have this on DVD.
  2. For some reason, my computer stopped downloading this at just over a minute. The beat isn't bad, but it's nothing special either...very common. LL sounds good on it, but i think the lyrics are actually pretty weak when compared 2 his usual stuff. I didn't get 2 the LLoyd Banks part...which is good, cuz i know him, his annoying voice, pointless, and wack lyrics would annoy me. I doubt LL will waste time making a video 4 this remix. From the minute i head of it, it's not even a really a remix...the lyrics have nothing 2 do with the original.
  3. Yeah, this has been brought up b4...but the original post said it waz dropping in early June. The album cover wasn't posted either. There may not be anything new here...but i'm gonna get it as long as it $10 or cheaper...which i'm sure it will be.
  4. I've had ideas 4 this video since i 1st heard the song. If i had the resorces 2 really make it happen, i'd do it.
  5. Today i came across the book The Book of Hip-Hop Cover Art. I had 2 pick it up. Of course i haven't had time 2 read it yet...but while i waz flippin' thru' it, i came across page 42, which featured the JJ+FP "Rock The House" cover. I skimmed the pages around it and i don't think they actually talk about JJ+FP, but the recognition is cool none the less. In the Acknowledgments at the end, the writer says "The biggest thanks of all go to my loved ones for their never ending support, and to my partner in rhyme, Dan Greenpeace. He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper." So he's definitly a JJ+FP fan. On a non-JJ+FP related note...all real Hip-Hop fans should check for this book. I've only got 2 check out the pictures and i love it. There's also an interview with Chuck D in the book. For those of u living in the US, i found this book in Borders on the clearence book shelves for only $5.99.
  6. LOOSE CANNONS - Fat Girl Unreleased - Life Goes On (2005)
  7. Thank God he isn't doing reality TV. LL is funny and has alot things that people of all ages could learn from, but if it's him being followed by cameras, that would be boring like everything else.
  8. FRESH PRINCE + DJ KOOL - Comin' To The Stage (Lost + Found) (2005)
  9. Silly topic...i'm not even gonna chose. Grandmaster Flash is a legend and one of the pioneers of the pioneers. Grandmaster Flash is DJ Jazzy Jeff's favorite DJ. Grandmaster Flash has tons of respect for DJ Jazzy Jeff. DJ Jazzy Jeff took what Grandmaster Flash started and took it 2 a different level and 2 the pop charts...and he's still doin' it all over the world. DJ Jazzy Jeff is probably the most popular DJ ever, with the mixtapes and solo albums, the JJ+FP stuff, doing commericals and being on one of the most popular TV shows of all time....what other DJ has done that much and for that length of time.
  10. What i waz saying waz that Master P's and Lil' Romeo's music has always sucked. In Hip-Hop and Rap, commerical fame is usually a passing thing that doesn't last more than 5 years for an artist...if that. The only reason people like FP and LL and Snoop are still in the game and have comparable levels of fame 2 earlier in their careers is cuz they put in the time, have heart 4 what they do, and usually put out high quality stuff. People like Master P make crappy music and it becomes a popular trendy thing for a song or 2...or about 5 years of fame. Then it fades away or turns in2 a lower level of fame 4 the rest of the career. So when people like Master P see that their commerical career is dead 4 the most part, and your son, your only hope of more fame and income, isn't doing what u expected. U get all bent out of shape...so u start relying on gimmicks and becoming bitter at the game.
  11. Ha!! Thanx everybody. It waz a pretty good b-day. I got a some cloths that i actually like (i'm so picky people rarely get my cloths), DVDs and a handful of CDs (like i need more). I got quite a view calls, voice mails, text messages, and e-mails from my friends. 2nite i saw a show at the theater i often 2 shows at with a group of friends. Then we went out to 2 different places 2 eat and i just got in at 4 in the morning. There were a few people i waz hoping 2 see 2day that i didn't...but i'll probably seem them later this week. All in all, a good day...and a day off from work. Thanx again everybody!!
  12. I don't see what the big deal is. I think he looks smooth. It looks better than when he had cornrows...ha ha. He's been bald before also.
  13. The current issue of Entertainment Weekly has a feature that talks about how much various celebrity actors make for their movies. Under Tom Cruise and right next 2 Tom Hanks and Jim Carrey, ranks the Fresh Prince. Here's the lil' paragragh they have next 2 his cheezy grin... "WILL SMITH $25 Million Almost everybody in Hollywood agrees that the Fresh Prince offers the biggest bang for the buck today. He's one of the few stars who consistently fills seats - Hitch hit $178 million despite so-so reviews - and he isn't shy about promoting his movies. A bargain, even at this price." The feature is on page 38...i just wanted 2 share this with everyone. The following male actors are UNDER him in this feature...Brad Pitt, Russell Crowe, Ben Stiller, Johnny Depp, Denzel Washington, Matt Damon, Will Farrell, Eddie Murphy, Harrison Ford, John Travolta. They have various actors under certain categorys (stating if they are worth that price). FP is under the category WORTH EVERY PENNY along with Tom Hanks, Brad Pitt, and Reese Witherspoon.
  14. GRAND PUBA - A Little of This (Remix) Single / 2000 (1995)
  15. Oh gosh. Master P is an idiot. When artists come up with stuff like this, it's just a pathetic disillusion in their own head cuz they can't grasp on2 the idea that people don't care about their music anymore. Pretty much ever artist who does music just for fame and money goes thru' this. And Lil' Romeo...come on. His music has never been good...that's why he's not generating sales and getting airplay. Bow Wow may be cocky and annoying these days...but he's music has always been better than theirs.
  16. The only point i waz trying 2 make with my ?uestion is that when u are a big fan of an artist, u almost don't even think about the wasted money 2 get a re-release version of an album. Here's a similar situation. I waz in a record store this evening and saw a Germany Import pack of Destiny's Child's 1st 2 albums....albums i LOVE. Well, The Writing's On The Wall only had 1 bonus track which i already had...but their first album had 4 bonus trax added.....so i got it. If it's worth it...u overlook the fact that u are wasting money by buying it twice.
  17. KENNY LATTIMORE - Days Like This (Black Sand Mix) CD Promo - Days Like This (1998) Tim, if u've never heard it, i'll have 2 get u a copy of this. This remix is sooooo good. It's produced by Keith + Darren!!
  18. Here's a ?uestion 4 those who really hate re-releases. Would u be the 1st in line 2 pick up a newly released version of Lost + Found if it happened? I would hope so.
  19. I think it's cool that he shouted out all the people here who joined.
  20. BLACK EYED PEAS - Disco Club (Large Pro Peas Remix) Renegotiations (2006) I'm so in love with this remix album!!
  21. That album may not be doing everything we wished...but it's done enough. It got JJ+FP back out there in ways millions could see them. It got FP back where he needed 2 be lyrically and when it came 2 his sound. It got him a hit single and a big award. On top of that, we saw him/them be a part of the 46664 movement and make very public speeches that not only had the traditional JJ+FP comedy...but also alot of serious issues about Hip-Hop and the world. Lost + Found is a great example of Hip-Hop grown up. And even if it would take awhile until FP did another album, we probably have at least L+F remix that will show up on Jazzy's album AND that compilation album that FP is putting 2gether. And during this time, Jazzy is getting out there a bit more with all the remixes he's been doing, his myspace page, and the direction that his next album is going. JJ+FP 4ever!!
  22. Congratz!! I haven't listened 2 that album in a few months. I just may have 2 pop it in 2nite.
  23. I've just gotta say ANY and EVERY time anybody refers 2 ANYONE as a gangsta rapper, i crack up. HELLO, gangsters don't rap. Anyone who seriously calls themself a "gangsta" is a fool. And anyone who believes anything those so-called gangsta rappers say, is an even bigger fool.
