  1. I have 2 go with The Legend of Bagger Vance or The Pursuit of Happyness. I'm one of the few people who loves ...Bagger Vance. I mean, FP basically played God. He waz all-knowing and dropped tons of knowledge about life in that movie.
  2. STACIE ORRICO - Take Me Away Beautiful Awakening (2007)
  3. Yeah...Off-Topic for JJ+FP fans. U aren't even a JJ+FP fan. U are like that obnoxious guy who goes in2 a store all the time 2 use their bathroom and never buys anything from that store.
  4. Ha...i had no idea he waz in N-Toon...i remember the name of that group. I loved "Southside" and got the album. However, i didn't have staying power with me...i only listened 2 "Southside"...put it on a few mixCDs, and never picked it up again. I like the new single (with the exception of Lil' Wayne's awful raps and adlibs). The remix is even better. I'd be interested in hearing this album.
  5. Yeah, good remix tho'. I wouldn't discribe this mix as a club banger tho'...the beats 2 laidback.
  6. STRANGE FRUIT PROJECT - You (The Only Ones) The Healing (2006) Yo Tim! I found one of their albums in stores. The album is dope. Easily one of the top 15 Hip-Hop albums released in the last 3 years. Real Hip-Hop is alive and well. It's just not on the charts.
  7. As a general statement, i'm saying that nobody on this board is making posts that say "50 Cent Is Wack." They post news and sometimes, people are gonna critique an artist, their opinion, their music, or whatever. So all the people saying that we spend all this time saying how wack he is don't get it that we are replying 2 news. That that goes for every artist in general. Tastes differ and opinions clash. However, your situation is different. Everyone one this board is united thru' the fact they love JJ+FP, their solo projects, and/or FP's movies. U don't have that. U come up in here every few months just 2 talk about 50 Cent, G-Unit, and sometimes other commercial rap. If that's what u are about, go 2 a 50 Cent message board. The way u do this every few months is childish and ignorant. Who cares about 50 Cent? This is the JJ+FP message board. If u aren't a fan, go away. Everyone is tired of going thru' this every few months.
  8. No no no....i wazn't suggesting an elaborate remix 2 create a whole new song. I waz suggesting we just have someone take 2 verses of "Runaway Love" and 2 verses from "Tell Me Why" and mash 'em up 2gether in2 on mix/blend. Maybe a few DJ vocal samples from previous FP and/or Ludacris joints tossed in here and there and a decent blend in the middle. No new beats or anything...just 2 songs, back 2 back, maybe an effect here or there. I think we can draw some attention 2 "Tell Me Why" that way and i know a handful of people here would get it out there. I'd do it myself, but i have zero experience and zero resorces 2 do so.
  9. Nobody comes up here posting "50 Cent Is Wack"...they put up a news post that happens 2 have him in it. Then most of us say "he's an idiot" cuz he does and says the stupidest things in rap. However, your soul purpose on this board is 2 defend him. How manys times have u been on this board without talking about 50 Cent?!? Get a clue, nobody respects what u say.
  10. I just wanna throw my idea out there again. "Runaway Love" is in the peak of it's popularity. Music fans are downloading as we speak. Does anyone think it's a good idea that one of the better remixers on the board make a mix of "Runaway Love" and "Tell Me Why." Put it all over Hip-Hop and Rap message boards and let people get a taste of the track and keep the Fresh Prince out there...even tho' he's sounding hesitant about doing more music. Anybody wanna back me on this idea?
  11. NICK LACHEY - Shades of Blue What's Left of Me (2006)
  12. Yes! Very weird. No offense 2 Nas, but i can't think of anyone KRS-One needs 2 be making a tribute 2. KRS-One is one of Hip-Hop's finest as well as Hip-Hop's biggest fan. However, as one of Hip-Hop's biggest fans, i'm really impressed with the way Nas has stepped up. And while i've liked some of his post stuff and hated some of his past stuff, he waz never truely a stand out talent until now.
  13. lambert, if u are a fan of JJ+FP, then talk about them. Your entire existence on this board is built on talking about 50 Cent + G-Unit. Nobody here views u as a JJ+FP fan or respects your opinions of worshiping garbage fading pop rap. Either be a fan or shut up. They got G-Unit message boards that u'll fit right in on.
  14. U are definitly taking this 2 far just like alot of other people. He's mentioned that he may stop dropping albums, but it could just as easily be a phase he's going thru'. Remember that he retired in 1995...then dropped a new album 2 years later. Give it tyme. And definitly don't buy in2 the negative and hopeless views of some people. After all, some of us talk with DJ Jazzy Jeff, Kel Spencer, and/or Charlie Mack online from time 2 time and none of us are sweating it 2 much. Those who claim that the days of The Fresh Prince are numbered don't have any hook ups like that. Due 2 the number of posts like this, don't be offended it your post disappears. It's just an over kill of posts like this.
  15. 2PAC - Me And My Girlfriend Makaveli: The 7 Day Theory (1996)
  16. I think "Chosen One" is a good track...but kinda bland compared 2 most of the stuff on L+F. The trax with DJ Kool are dope 2...but i don't know that they fit in the mix perfectly when u look at the project as a whole. Overall, i think all the trax should have been a part of the album, but i can see what FP or Interscope waz thinking with the final tracklisting. Rock The House and He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper didn't have any tracks left off the album. They recorded some stuff during that time, but not for the albums. I don't know if And In This Corner... had any extra stuff. Homebase seems like it might have had a few tracks but i don't know. Code Red definitly did. Big Willie Style and Willennium definitly had lots of stuff that didn't make the album. B2R had about 15 other trax that he he did. L+F definitly had at least 20ish trax that didn't make the cut.
  17. FP did write the song. He wrote it back in 2003. And he did wanna release it. It waz originally slated as the 2nd single (after they backed out on "Party Starter"...and then changed their mind again). It's no secret that Ludacris' pop appeal is why most of his single are a hit. FP has 2 work harder since he's got the movie career going on and won't lower himself 2 the level of most of the crappy, cussing, negative artists that get success these days. When i hear "Runaway Love" (Ludacris' best song ever), i see it as a mix of "Tell Me Why" and "Brenda's Got A Baby." Unlike Jadakiss' schetchy single "Why"...i actually believe Ludracris has his heart behind the song. An interesting thought would be that one of the more talented "remixers" on this board could make a mix of "Runaway Love" and "Tell Me Why" so that FP gets some attention on the music front piggy backing it on the already successful Ludacris single. We could put it all over web (Ludacris/FP/Hip-Hop/Rap message boards) and draw alot of attention 2 the song. Kontempt, Vipa, anyone?
  18. AOL has a feature on the worst movies based off of TV shows. And even tho' it waz practically the oldest movie on the list, at the moment, the poll has it rated as the 2nd worse movie of the ones listed...here's the current outcome. Bewitched 18% Wild, Wild West 16% Fat Albert 14% The Dukes of Hazzard 13% The Avengers 7% Inspector Gadget 7% Lost in Space 7% The Mod Squad 6% Scooby Doo 6% The Flintstones 3% SWAT 2% I thought time would be more forgiving.
  19. JOHN MAYER - Your Body Is A Wonderland (Live) As/Is (2004)
  20. It could be lots of reason. Sometimes the record labels don't like certain songs and try 2 keep them off. Sometimes the artist doesn't like the song or even wants 2 keep the song 2 themselves cuz it's so personal. Sometimes a song can't get a sample cleared and it has 2 be kept off an album. Like Weird Al's "You're Pitifull." James Blunt stopped Weird Al from putting it out since it waz parodying what he considers his art. That's why Coolio waz mad at him years ago, cuz Coolio didn't have the power 2 stop Weird Al's parody of his song from coming out. I kept this a secret for years (tho' i might have let it out some time last year)...but "Pump Me Up" waz intended for Big Willie Style. However, due 2 the fact that they couldn't clear all the samples in the original one, they had 2 re-do it and release it on Willennium. So that's a case where they couldn't clear the samples...but they did re-do it, re-record it, and release it later. The new rock group Hinder actually almost didn't have their hit single on their album. Their song "Lips of An Angel" waz one of their favorite song...but their label wanted 2 keep the song off the album and use it as a b-side on something else. The group fought 2 get the song on the album....and now they one of the biggest hits of 2006. It's just politics. That's why DJ Jazzy Jeff's album on Columbia never came out. They wanted an album kinda like BWS but Jazzy wasn't goin' for that...so the album never came out. Soul singer Maxwell was trying 2 put out an album around 2003 or 2004. But some of his lyrics came off as a double-meaning homosexual way (even tho' he's not gay) and the album got shelved. Q-Tip's 2nd album waz shelved cuz he waz a jazz album where he waz doing alot of singing. Even his 3rd one waz supposed 2 come out a year and half ago...and there's been no sight of it other than the single that came out way back then...which has since popped up on a Busta Rhymes mixtape. Rakim and Dr. Dre couldn't meet each other on the same level when it came 2 music...so no Rakim album. It's all politics...which is stupid since it's supposed 2 be about art. I think that if a record lable isn't going 2 use and artist's material, they should get 100% ownership of it so that they can put it out exclusivly if they want.
  21. TAMIKA SCOTT (of Xscape) - Greatest Gift Daddy's Little Girl Soundtrack (2006) All R-N-B fans need 2 check this soundtrack. Like every other Tyler Perry soundtrack, established talent and new talent hit u with quality R-N-B music (Anthony Hamilton, Jaheim, Musiq Soulchild, R. Kelly, Adrian Hood, Whitney Houston, Yolanda Adams, Brian McKnight, Beyonce, Governor, + Charles Moore)
  22. Agreed, but telling Lerkot 2 think postively is a waste of time. He has being realistic mixed up with being negative.
  23. I don't follow this movie stuff very closely. But i did catch some of E!'s coverage of the red carpet. I didn't see anything with FP except for this one shot where other celebs were walking the carpet, posing, taking pics, etc. But in the background, i could see FP up against the wall talking 2 the people in the stands watching everyone who waz walking by. He waz signing autographs and picked up somebody's pen that fell when they reached out for an autograph...ha ha. It waz cool seeing him talking 2 all the people while everyone else waz trying 2 be Hollywood.
  24. The Hip-Hop Prayer Book seems a bit much (and kinda cheezy 2 me) but i've always wanted something like this 2 pop up in my area.
