  1. TLC - Sleigh Ride A LaFace Family Christmas (1993)
  2. DJ JAZZY JEFF + FRESH PRINCE - Ain't No Place Like Home Code Red (1993)
  3. Definitly not brilliant, but definately funny. I have no idea why he did it, but i think that's what makes it funny.
  4. BOYZ II MEN - Cupid Love (2009) The Boyz are back! Now if only they could release an album that wasn't all covers.
  5. OWL CITY - Fireflies Ocean Eyes (2009) This normally isn't my flava but I just like this guy's vibe. His sound is so unique.
  6. EMINEM - Murder Murder The Slim Shady EP (1997)
  7. I was gonna post about this the other day. I saw the commercial for it and it looked like it would be worth giving it a try but that it might not be that great. The vague article u posted above made it sound better than the opinion I formed from the commercial I saw. She looks gorgous in the pic.
  8. I have listened 2 it alot but not in the sense that I was just chill and vibing 2 the lyrics. I plan on doing it soon and probably write a review. Anyone else think we should still have a Album Review message board on the site? :hissyfit:
  9. MC HAMMER - I Go (2009) This is okay for a Lil' Jon beat. I wish Hammer was leaning back towards using classic R-N-B and Funk samples instead tho.'
  10. KATY PERRY - Brick By Brick MTV Unplugged (2009)
  11. KIERNAN MCMULLAN - Grace And Love (Acoustic) (probably on his upcoming acoustic EP) (2009) For those of you who like acoustic music, check this guy out. I met him over the summer when he opened for LFO and i loved his stuff. The link below will take you to his merchandise page and at the bottom his has 2 free downloads. http://kiernanmcmullanmerch.com/merchandise.cfm
  12. I like seeing that he took a paycut for The Pursuit of Happyness...showing that he's not just about the money, but doing a movie he feels good about. It truely is ridiculous that actors make that much money to make a movie. It's crazy to think about all of the non-celebs who do just as good as a job (or even better) acting and are starving artists. Craziness.
  13. With the holidays approaching, an idea came 2 mind. JJ+FP have a big following online. Would one of the more experienced editing peeps on this board consider making a video for "Family Christmas?" I was thinking that someone could take high quality footage from JJ+FP videos and Christmas/Winter footage from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air from between 1989 through 1991 and fit the footage to the song. I'd do it myself but I have no experience in that kind of thing.
  14. GYM CLASS HEROES - Friend Request Cruel As School Children (2005)
  15. Hmmm...I think Brandy's music is better than this. I think The Definition was one of R-N-B's best albums of the past 10 years. This kinda reminds me of Keri Hilson....talent that is semi-sabatoged by complying 2 the mainstream.
  16. I got the album. I haven't gotten 2 really listen 2 it and soak it in but it has reminded my why i am one of Hip-Hop's biggest fan. Something in me comes 2 life when i listen 2 it which i forgot was in me.
  17. LUCK-ONE + DEKK - Coolax Beautiful Music EP (2009) All of u who love real Hip-Hop, mellowed out vibes, a retro/vintage feel, solid lyrics that aren't cuss-infested over thick beats, do yourself and check out Luck-One + Dekk. I stumbled upon them last week and I'm loving this.
  18. ...and the Hancock similarities are just stupid. They have nothing 2 do with the song.
  19. Hmmmm.....I'm really disappointed. The lyrics are great. Her vocals are in tact. But the beat is average and a dash trendy until it gets a bit stripped down at the end. This is okay...but nothing compared to her previous stuff... I hope the rest of the album is much better!
  20. The Arsenio Hall Show will always be my favorite late night show ever. He was a trailblazer. He did things that nobody else did and has done since. His stand-up and his interviews were just different. His guests were much more diverse than what the other guys have had. Not 2 mention he always stood up strong for Hip-Hop music and culture. While other guys might have a surprise guest or crazy even happen once every 6 months, Arsenio had that weekly...at least (anyone remember the time him and Diana Ross got it on during an interview, the time Michael Jackson came out, the time he stood up strong against the gay-pride speaker who inturupted his show, the time he attacked Vanilla Ice?) Arsenio would have musical guests do 2 songs and have a full interview where alot fo the other guys just let them perform 1 song at the end of the show. Not 2 mention his style (threads and hair) PLUS the dogg pound "woof! woof!"...ha ha. Arsenio had FP on a handful of times. I watched his show probably 4 out of 5 nights a week and I hardly ever caught his show when FP was on. It's a shame because I often taped Arsenio and i have a huge box of VHS' in my basement that I hope 2 convert to DVD one day (hopefully before they fall apart.) They are loaded with performances and interviews from people like Queen Latifah, Ice-T, Snoop Doggy Dogg, Eazy-E, etc). When Arsenio desided 2 end his show, I was in 9th grade and totally devistated. I have a video on my Myspace that features highlights from his show on the last episode. Classic stuff. I saw him on Leno's show the other week. I really miss what Arsenio brought 2 late night.
  21. I saw the new Beyonce video. It's garbage and I'm sure my comment on the video on her Myspace is gonna make a few people mad. Beyonce is talented and she is beautiful and she seems like one of the sweetest entertainers there is. This album/era is just awful tho.' She's wearing all these bathing suit type "costumes" and dancing around to awful beats that she's singing over. In my comment I basically said she needs a DC reunion NOW so that maybe we can get some soul back in her music. At least Lady GaGa sings a bit in this song and attempted to look like a lady in the video. Haven't heard the other song yet.
