  1. I gotta agree with Ted. Puffy is mad shady. Sure, he may not carry the infamous rep that Suge Knight has but Puffy is just as shady. Remember the incident where he beat Steve Stoute over the head with a champagne bottle for showing the un-edited version of Nas' Hate Me Now? Or how about Shyne having to take the fall in that shootout at that club a few years ago? Puffy is mad greasy and is really no different than any other record executive. This is what I think of record label execs and labels in general: "Industry Rule No. 4080/Record company people are shady!" - Q-Tip, from ATCQ's classic Check The Rhime
  2. That was an interesting read. It wouldn't surprise me that Puffy cheated Biggie out of some of his publishing money. Puffy is concerned about one person - Puffy. It's the reason why Bad Boy disintergrated after Biggie's Death. Biggie was Bad Boy Records. Take a look at the rest of the roster that Puffy had. Craig Mack... gone. The LOX... gone. Total... gone. Faith Evans... gone. 112... gone. Black Rob... gone. New Edition... gone. All of these artists left because everything has to be done Puffy's way... and that no matter what, Puffy is the only star at Bad Boy. Just look at the way he used Da Band and now this "supposed" girl group. Puffy isn't interested in building up his artists. He's interested in building up himself. The only thing he can fall back on is Biggie hence the "new" Biggie album that's supposed to come out in 2006. Puffy is a great salesman but the only person he sells is himself.
  3. Come on, fam. Can we really be surprised about Bow Wow's comments? Dude grows some peach fuzz, dates a girl and now he thinks he's grown. Who is really going to take him seriously when he looks like this: In the words of Rick James: COCAINE IS A HELLUVA DRUG!!!
  4. I regret not getting with and marrying this girl I knew in high school. She was the truth and I told myself that I will never let another one get away. If you had a chance to get with/marry a celebrity, who would it be?
  5. I got the Star Wars DVD last Friday and I must say that it's tight. I like the special features and in particular the music video. As far as the entire saga goes here's how I would rank them... and by the way, I really liked them all: 1. The Empire Strikes Back -1980 2. Return Of The Jedi - 1983 3. Revenge Of The Sith - 2005 4. A New Hope - 1977 5. Attack Of The Clones - 2002 6. Phantom Menace - 1999 ... and yes, that IS THE CORRECT RANK OF THE SAGA. I HAVE SPOKEN!!!! :lolsign:
  6. Here's an article featuring R&B and Jazz legend Quincy Jones: Quincy Jones on Contact Music.com
  7. Digable Planets - Reachin'... A New Refutation of Time & Space
  8. No brainer... I'd choose the woman. No disrespect to Will but if I had an hour with either Gabrielle Union, Serena Williams, Angelina Jolie, Megan Good or Sophia Vergara then Will would just have to understand. Oh if I was ever in a room with either of those women.... These questions are still tame so I'm going to spice things up. Have you ever walked in on someone having sex... and if so, did you watch a little bit?
  9. The best hip-hop albums of 2005 in order: 1. Phanatik - The Incredible Walk(Cross Movement Records) 2. Common - BE(GOOD/Geffen) 3. Fresh Prince - Lost & Found(Overbrook/Interscope) 4. The Ambassador - The Thesis(Cross Movement Records)
  10. If I had to choose then I would choose Mike Jones... even though I would have to have plenty of barf bags handy. Do you watch porn and if so, what is your favorite form of porn?
  11. To answer Julie's question, I'll say Big Boy... just so I could get him back for ever coming up with such a question in the first place. For the Ladies, if you had to sleep with either Flavor Flav or 50 Cent, who would it be? For the Fellas, if you had to sleep with either Camilla Parker Bowles or Star Jones, who would it be?
  12. I'm not that big of an Usher fan but it's nice to see him give Will props. Usher can sing and dance but his acting needs a lot of work. He's not very good when it comes to acting. I actually think he's slightly overrated as an entertainer. I don't think he sucks; he's just not the end-all-be-all of entertainers.
  13. BigTed. Have you ever made out on the first date?
  14. Here is an article I found from contactmusic.com about the "beef" between Bono and Eminem: EMINEM IGNORED BONO'S LIVE 8 CALLS Live 8 organisers SIR BOB GELDOF and BONO were furious when rapper EMINEM refused to return their phonecalls about performing at the poverty awareness bash. They sent the STAN hitmaker photographs of African fans wearing Eminem t-shirts in an effort to persuade him to join the Live 8 line-up, only to be totally ignored. Geldof says, "Bono called me while I was in Africa and said 'he's (Eminem) not calling me back. I've got these pictures of kids wearing Eminem and D-12 t-shirts and we got them sent off to Eminem's office but did we hear anything? It's sad.' He added, "If people don't want to do anything, then it's cool, I'm ok with that, but I wouldn't mind if they got back to us." 29/10/2005 15:43
  15. It's a toss-up between BigTed and Mfuqua23. If you had to, I repeat if you had to, listen to either 50 Cent or Chingy, who would you listen to?
  16. Finally, people with good sense are doing something positive. Here's the article: 50 Cent Billboards Banned
  17. Most of you have heard Will's interview with Big Boy. Well now it's time for the JJFP.com Forum Hat of Forbidden Questions. Answer the question posed and then pose a question. Here it goes: If MaxFly and BigTed got into a fight, who would win?
  18. Although I think a lot of this was a bit of a witchhunt if Libby committed perjury then he should go to jail. I also find it kind of funny that no one is being indicted for "outing" the CIA agent's name. The reason is that just about everyone in Washington knows she is a CIA agent... and she's not even a covert agent.
  19. WATCHING MY WHITE SOX WIN THE WORLD SERIES!!!!!! GO WHITE SOX!!!! 2005 WORLD CHAMPION CHICAGO WHITE SOX!!!!!
  20. I would have to say the father. Don't get me wrong, the mother's job is extremely important but the father is looked at as the head of the household. He is supposed to teach his son about how to be a man and to take on responsibility and he is to be an example of what a responsible and loving man should be for his daughter. If you could change one thing about you, what would it be?
  21. I think it was 1987 and I believe the song was LL Cool J's I'm Bad. It was either that or Kool Moe Dee's How Ya Like Me Now.
  22. I instantly loved the track when I first heard it. The flow is crazy and the production is good as well. I always gave Will props for making BTR even though most people hated it. I respected the fact that he took a chance and experimented with his music. I'd rather see artists do that than hear the same nonsense from everybody else.
  23. Damian, There are a bunch of rappers taking the Gospel to the streets. There's Cross Movement, KJ-52, Da T.R.U.T.H., Lecrae, and New Breed to name a few. In fact there are 3 superb albums from HHH artists this year alone. Check out the following albums from these artists: Phanatik - The Incredible Walk The Ambassador - The Thesis KJ-52 - Behind The Musik(A Boy Named Jonah) You can also check out these websites: Cross Movement Records KJ-52 Holy Culture Radio
