  1. I don't think you'll see it unfortunately :protest: BillBoard Article Jazzy Jeff Nabs Meth, De La, Rhymefest For Solo Set November 16, 2006, 1:05 PM ET Clover Hope, N.Y. DJ Jazzy Jeff is putting the finishing touches on "The Return of the Magnificent," the follow-up to his 2002 solo debut "The Magnificent" (Rapster). Due early next year, the entirely self-produced disc will feature appearances by Method Man, Big Daddy Kane, De La Soul, Rhymefest and KRS-One, among others. Although the material is relatively set, Jeff says he is still perfecting tracks. "I technically could be done. I probably was done about a month-and-a-half ago and I'm just really tweaking stuff," the DJ tells Billboard.com from a trek in Scotland. "I came to the conclusion today that I'm just gonna go home, finish everything that I've done so far and just close it out, but I never want to say I'm done." Similar to his first offering, "The Return" will merge various genres and collaborators such as Raheem DeVaughn, Kardinal Offishall, Little Brother and CL Smooth. "As a DJ, I like playing all kinds of different music so it's the same thing when it comes down to making it," says Jeff. "A lot of producers don't really have the ability to go outside of what they're known for [but] I've done a little bit of everything. So to be able to do a record that touches on R&B, soul, some hip-hop, house, and not really be confined was a treat for me because it's not really an artist album. It's more like a producer album." In the disc's interim, Jeff issued the mixtape "Hip-Hop Forever III," a blend of classic and rare hip-hop cuts and current hits, including songs by A Tribe Called Quest ("Award Tour"), Mobb Deep ("Quiet Storm") and Eric B & Rakim ("Eric B Is the President"), among others. And for "The Return," Jeff chose to stick with his usual recipe. "I have a very weird philosophy when it comes down to music," he explains. "It's almost like you're going to your favorite restaurant and you order your favorite meal. When you go back, you're really mad if they don't have itm so I wanted to keep the same formula that I had with the last album but be a little bit more progressive with it. I went from every genre of music that I had something to do with." Next up, Jeff is setting up projects with Biz Markie, Jean Grae and Eric Roberson. He will return to the States Nov. 21 before heading to Asia for a two-and-a-half-week outing. "I've been pretty much touring the world for past four=and-a-half years since the last album came out," he says. "Just to get a really good grip of where the world is musically, not just the United States. It seems like the genres are starting to change around the world."

  9. when you order it will tell you the shipping
  10. what you've heard in the past might not even be on the album though... i made a lot of changes with it. i do see what your saying because as far favorites go, this isnt even in my top 3 when it comes to my tracks on the album... i felt it had the brightest and most upbeat feeling that can catch ears.... some of my songs are too complex for some people out there who dont listen to good hiphop... it was a wise decision but i understand where your coming from though. i appreciate your feedback though... but im going to release 2 singles too. The 2nd, well have to wait a little bit for that one.... but take care man, peace! Alright man fair enough. That darfur track you did is brilliant. I'm still listening to that...
  11. you mean it's not something he released in the past? lol i thought maybe it was one of his older songs i might've missed or something Naa it was from the lost and found recordings..
  12. Good Interview, and Will needs to put out that record he keeps quoting :stickpoke:
  13. I like it, but to be honest I've heard better tracks from you as far as this being the single.
  14. I agree with you guys. The philosophy of Will's is great, and you should never give up, but "running hard" does not simply make you successful.
  15. Having seen gift of gab live his breath control is insane :mygod:
  16. Yeah you can. Just select the paypal option and then in the next screen you can enter your credit card details without having to use a paypal account.
  17. was that english? Will's answered that question in quite a few interviews over the years if you look em up.. Basically he says he was wrong now he's a parent ha
  18. I think Will views things a little too simply than what they are. Situations and circumstances are a lot more complex in my opinion. As for his running example. What he's really talking about is discipline. Now I don't need to run and listen to my body telling me to stop because its being overworked to harness discipline. There are other ways. On his working with Gene Hackman on Enemy of the State. I disagree that he should have slept 4 hours instead of 8. If he had slept 8 hours he would have been in a better position mentally and physically to act with Hackman. If he needed to rise to the challenge, he may have had to do more preperation before the movie, spent more hours acting, but giving your body only 4 and a half hours rest when it requires 8 is not the answer :smart:
  19. Hey man welcome aboard! What video on youtube did you see?
  20. That was a really interesting interview everyone should listen to that! I disagreed with a lot, but I also agreed with many points.
  21. This is a good point, and the truth is I've only realized the complexity in the last year or so. I always realised I liked souls of mischief, I thought they had greater skills than most of the rappers I heard. But I didn't really know why. Studying the way they use their cadences, the way they work around the beat, and just going back to these albums I've realized why it sounds so good, why they were ahead of their time and how they advanced the rhyming. Knowing this I can now pick rappers who sound exactly like them, they've probably copied them, or copied someone who copied them. Now whats interesting..if I take Tajai from souls of mischief..he has really expanded his style, its more complex, its more difficult but I think he flowed better, he sounded better in 1995 than he does today. Sometimes I think simpler can be better.
  22. Well I disagree with the home schooling thing..and the reasons for it :protest: :protest:
