Yeah what`s up with Naughty By Nature?Ted? :azzangel: ← I didn't know that they were working on a new album, Treach was on Rap City a few months ago sayin' that Naughty By Nature's shopping for a label to sign them, there's no word yet if they're even signed somewhere. :shrug: If I find out any news on them I'll post it here, well in the meantime I could get some more Naughty By Nature albums myself, I only have their last 2 and their greatest hits, which I enjoy very much, I need to get their earlier stuff, definately all the ol' school albums sound more appealing right now than anything out now, I just got Queen Latifah's "Black Reign" a couple weeks ago that I've been playing everyday since I got it, I think I'm gonna get LL's "14 Shots To The Dome" and "Bigger and Deffer" to complete my LL collection, I need "Rock The House" to complete my JJFP collection still too, I need to get Nas' "The Lost Tapes" still to complete my Nas collection and I need some BDP albums to complete my KRS-ONE collection, plus more Public Enemy and Hieroglyphics, I might start trading in some albums I rarely listen to to get those, that should keep me busy for the next year or so until some new good albums come out. :lolsign:

Oh well since I was anticipating buying only DMX and PE right away, I'm gonna buy some ol' school cds instead and buy the other stuff later! :davidblaine:

This is what Chuck D said on publicenemy.com, he mentions "Rebirth Of A Nation" comes in Jan. '06 and "How You sell Your Soul to A Soules People Who Lost Their Soul." in June '06, he mentioned before about another album "New Whirl Order" but that'll be just an internet release sometime next year: "Finally playing ASIA on PE tour #54 has been a treat. He was 23. Herrion, a 6-foot-3, 310-pound guard, was on the field for San Francisco's 14-play, 91-yard drive that ended with a touchdown with 2 seconds left. Players had finished listening to coach Mike Nolan address them in a postgame meeting when Herrion collapsed. Medics administered CPR on him and took him to an ambulance that rushed him to a nearby hospital. About three hours later, 49ers spokesman Aaron Salkin confirmed that Herrion had been pronounced dead. The cause of death was not immediately known. ``This is a colossal tragedy for the 49ers and the entire NFL community,'' Salkin said. ``We still do not know all the details. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Herrion family.'' The death comes a little more than four years after offensive lineman Korey Stringer of the Minnesota Vikings died of heatstroke during a training camp practice on a day during which the heat index soared to 110. Since Stringer's death, NFL teams have increased their efforts to teach players about hydration and how to manage the heat. They have been experimenting with sensors to measure players' core body temperatures, although those by themselves wouldn't be able to prevent a heat-related death. Temperatures were in the mid-60s with 50 percent humidity Saturday night in Denver, although experts say heatstroke can occur even in cool conditions. After the game, Nolan said he had no comments about San Francisco's 26-21 loss to the Broncos. ``There are more important things on our mind than the game,'' he said. ``Right now, our thoughts and prayers are with Thomas Herrion.'' I think De La Soul is going on tour with Common and Kanye West in the fall so maybe they're working on a new one, "The Grind Date"'s holding me over pretty well though since that's a hot album. At the moment things are not looking good but hopefully when Kanye West album drops, a lot of other quality releases drop after. Chuck D said in his new terrordome that there'll be 3 Public Enemy albums coming out next year and there'll be a Public Enemy tour in the fall, they're actually doing performances in Japan right now, Public Enemy lives on the road. KRS-ONE's still doing his world tour still too so he probably got some heat for us in late '05/early '06, he actually is rumored to be performing with some international rappers on his tour so he's stealing Will's idea, well he could get JJFP on it and make it a double album. :lolsign:

Yeah that's what it's supposed to be but anything from Run-Dmc will be better than any of the crap out now, Rev. Run's "Mind On The Road" sounds like the typical Run-DMC rap-rock type track, I doubt it's gonna be a straight rock album like somebody here said, DMC will be experimenting more, they're the ol' school version of Andre 3000 and Big Boi, they both got different styles.

Yeah I don't think there's gonna be a new Jay-Z album out right now, he's too busy being president of Def Jam, but I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back with something one day since most rappers who retire come back like DMX and Mase who retired but came back again, I think rappers just say they're retiring for attention, it's getting rediculous now, they should just be like Will and just take a year or 2 off and then just come out with somethin' without sayin' they're retiring. :lol:

I'm actually kinda dissapointed about this summer, I thought the delay of "Party Starter" was bad enough, I was also looking forward to the Busta Rhymes, DMX, and Public Enemy albums coming out the most before any other albums but instead we get crap albums from Ying Yang Twins, Tony Yayo, Young Jeezy, and even Vanilla Ice before we get those albums, I was expecting this summer to be much better than it's been, I thought it'd be a golden summer to bring back hip-hop to where it needs to be especially with "Lost and Found" dominating the charts, that's getting my hopes too high though I guess, but hopefully those albums you mentioned actually come out in the fall and take the attention off of G Unit 'cause I guess it's too late for Will to make that much impact since the album's fading away, damn Interscope! :noooo: btw, wasn't Redman and Foxy Brown supposed to release albums on Def Jam this summer too? I don't understand how Jay-Z could release Young Jeezy's crap album before DMX, Redman, and Foxy Brown albums, that's not a smart move! :thatspdiddybad: Jay-Z doesn't even rap anymore that much and yet people say he spit the only good verse on that Young Jeezy album. :lolsign: There's supposed to be Kool G Rap, Big Daddy Kane, Q-Tip, Pete Rock and CL Smooth, and a Rakim album on Talib Kweli's label coming too but I ain't gonna get my hopes too high. We could also look forward to Kev. Brown, Lil' Brother, and Skillz albums too on the underground scene too this fall. Is Kel Spencer coming out soon? JJFP should take Kel Spencer on tour with them, that'd get him some exposure.

Is DMX' new album comin' out soon? I've been listening to a lot of his stuff lately, Jay-Z needs to release that album since he's president of Def Jam, it's time for DMX to take over the game again, a lot of peeps sleep on his skills, he can rip all these wack commercial rappers to shreads, they shouldn't keep delaying his album.

I think LL's "Jack The Ripper" is the greatest battle track ever made, "Back Where I Belong" and "Till The Break Of Dawn" are other battle tracks from LL that I love, he's the greatest battle mc no doubt, I love KRS-ONE's "The Bridge Is Over", Nas' Ether" and I think Will's "He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper" and "I Wish I Made That" are great battle tracks too, he's sorta dissin' the whole industry though and not just a particular rapper but they're still great, Public Enemy's "My Uzi Weighs A Ton" has nasty punchlines too by Chuck D, "the rhyme animal". :dope:

I saw an advertisement when I was just watching a baseball game on FOX and it shows that LL's gonna be on some new drama series coming this fall on FOX, just giving y'all the heads up on that. btw that KaySlay "Streetsweeper Vol. 2" mixtape shouldn't be that hard to find since it was released through Columbia Records, I think they even sell that at Kmart besides the major music retail places like Sam Goody, that's only one of the few good songs I like on there though, there's a lot of wack songs on there though, I liked "Vol. 1" better 'cause it had some of my favorite artists like Scarface, Busta Rhymes, Aaron Hall, Wyclef, Fat Joe, Nas, Foxy Brown, and Amerie, I didn't like the song where 50 Cent jacked "I Shot Ya" though and the Eminem freestyle was kinda corny.

Anthony Latour, 14, was expelled from the eighth grade in mid-May for the lyrics, which he wrote outside of school. The American Civil Liberties Union is trying to get him reinstated when classes begin Aug. 31 in the Riverside Beaver County School District. At a hearing Thursday, ACLU attorney Kim Watterson said Latour's words, although violent, had to be taken in context of "battle rap," a genre in which rappers try to outdo one another with "these flexing of lyrical muscles." To make her case, she called Bakari Kitwana, an author of three books on hip-hop culture. Chief U.S. District Judge Donetta Ambrose seemed appreciative. "Probably of anyone in this room, I am the least familiar with hip-hop culture," said Ambrose. The judge gave no indication on when she would rule in the case. Kitwana said rap vocabulary is misunderstood by people unfamiliar with hip-hop. Battle rap "can get pretty nasty in terms of the language," he said, but the words don't lead to violence. "It's absolutely a verbal challenge," he said. One line in Latour's song says: "So watch what you say about me, I'm everywhere son, And the word of mouth is that I'm carrying guns." School officials learned of LaTour's writings in March and contacted police. That led to criminal charges of making terroristic threats and harassment, which haven't been resolved. Latour was expelled following a May school board hearing. Anthony Sanchez, an attorney representing the district, said the district was forced to act and that Latour could have made his case at the expulsion hearing. He had not spoken at that time. Sanchez said one girl's mother said her daughter had a "mental breakdown" because of harassment and Latour's raps. The girl has since left the district.
