But AJ, Jam Master Jay discovered him, so if you're saying that 50 Cent is talentless, that's like saying Jam Master Jay doesn't know talent, and Dr. Dre does produce him too and he's like the greatest producer, how many rappers got discovered by Jam Master Jay and were produced by Dr. Dre, a lot of people say that Vanilla Ice is the wackest but not everybody has sold 5 million albums, you gotta keep things in perspective here, if you ain't got nothin' to say "Don't Say Nothin", 50 Cent should learn from this too, there's no need for him to diss cats more talented and experienced than him but since he's on a major record label, he does have talent, Nas said it himself that it's a reward in itself to get a record deal, it took DMX 10 years to get signed to Def Jam. Yes I do when I post what I'm listening to! :lolsign: I look over my posts and realise sometimes that I forgot to say something so I add it on that's all so I don't have to make 20 short posts! :gettinjiggywitit: Now I realised one more point I wanted to make, Will's voice is what sets him apart from 99% of the rap game, he's like Pac in that sense 'cause sometimes the simplist structure of a verse could be made to sound most powerful on songs like "Dear Mama" and "Tell Me Why", you could look at the lyrics on paper like a simple poem but when you hear the song they send chills through your back and blow you away, this is what's the problem of a lot of rappers today, they focus more on jumbling words together that might not make sense instead of working on the flow for the song so they might have a 50-line verse but they lack the emotion to make the songs powerful and I won't consider Kanye a legend unless he starts doing more songs on his own, me and Schnazz were discussing this yesterday, guest appearances on an album are annoying like a mixtape, you could have a few good ones but if you have like 10-20 they start to draw attention away from you on the most part, except albums like "The G.O.A.T.", "Willenium", and "Volume 2: Hard Knock Life", he needs to do an album like "Code Red", "Blueprint", and "Mama Said Knock You Out" where there's no guest appearances but he'd carry it enough himself to keep it entertaining, I don't know if I could stomach listening to an album with just him for 60 minutes though but he is improving and it could be possible, the guest appearances are actually the best parts of his album on the most part except for songs like "Jesus Walks" and "Family Buisiness". Mcs shouldn't be judged on age or record sales but that's what a lot of hip-hop fans focus on, Will's great at those though by outselling all the peers his age, but content needs to be focus on too, and he does shine bright in that department as well, he's popular, intelligent, has an incredible voice and has been an incredible lyricist for 20 years and is the one that expanded the platform for rappers now to be worldwide, not just East Coast or West Coast! :thumbsup:

50 Cent does have some talent though, that's why he has a record deal and we don't, his underground stuff ranks among the best of hip-hop in the late '90s, he just doesn't show it anymore that's all. :stickpoke:

Aceyalone could be an underground legend, calling him the pioneer of Cali rap is wrong 'cause Ice-T, Too Short, and Dr. Dre came out first, sure Dr. Dre is a better producer than a rapper like Kanye but he really does have a nice flow that kills Kanye, especially on all the songs on "The Chronic", "Chronic 2001" was lost focus on the most part with him just like "Born To Reign" lyrically but he did shine on "Still D.R.E.", his verses on "Forgot About DRE", "The Watcher", and "The Next Episode" just like Will shined on "Born To Reign", "Block Party", "Act Like You Know", and "As The Beat Goes", all the guest appearances on "Chronic 2001" was just as lame as hearing Tra-Knox on every song, it killed it from being a classic, "Born To Reign" should've sold 6 million like that album and the other overrated stuff out now even though it wasn't his best, the worst stuff sells on the most part, IMO, I wouldn't call "Big Willie Style" his best either even though it's a lil' better than "Born To Reign" and close to "Lost and Found" flowwise, not content wise except for "Just The Two Of Us" and "Chasin' Forever" which were serious songs, and maybe a lil' better than "Homebase" to maybe say it's his 5th or 6th best album, no matter how you slice it, his catalog ranks among the all-time greats, every rapper has made an average album like "Born To Reign", if you don't think so you're really a Loretta of that rapper, nobody's perfect but Will comes one of the closest, 20 years deep in his career, he's a legend no doubt. "Code Red" should really be his highest selling album that sold 13 million 'cause everybody should hear the skills he displayed on there, "He's The DJ..." sold 2 million in '88 then again which is like selling 15 million now, it was rare to do then, well then again "Reasonable Doubt" is Jay-Z' lowest selling album too so skills doesn't sell. Biggie could rip 70% of the rap game now I'll admit even though I ain't a huge fan of his, 50 Cent and Game make him look like a rap god, he's a tad bit overrated, Heavy D deserves more credit 'cause he originated the overweight lover concept and could outflow Biggie!

Biggie's flow is perfect? :rofl: His flow is one of the most annoying ever, he had nice rhyme structure but he's one of the most annoying people to listen to on the most part except for "Juicy" and a couple other songs. Will needs to go back with Jeff, he brings out the best of Will's flow like on "Code Red", "Homebase", "He's The DJ...", and 'Willenium", "Lost and Found" is great though.

Will's the highest sellin' east coast rapper of all-time, this shouldn't be much of a shock, over 30 million sold, those kids better recognise, to be the 6th highest selling rapper past your prime is amazing, rap careers are usually short but Will truely is the Michael Jordan of the rap game, still a hip-hop all-star after 20 years! 50 Cent is like Penny Hardaway, he'll be irrevelant to the public in a couple years.

I think Will easily has one of the greatest flows ever, to compare him to Kanye is a joke to me no matter how much you like Kanye 'cause Will's one of the greatest, compare him to Big Daddy Kane, LL, or Rakim, Kanye ain't there yet even though he's good now! :stickpoke: I don't like it when people compare Nick Cannon to Will either, you can't compare nobody out now to Will! If I walk down the street and ask somebody who Aceyalone is, they won't know who he is, but they'll know who Will Smith is, they'll know who Jay-Z is, they'll know who Eminem is, who 2Pac is, who Biggie is, who Jay-Z is, who Kanye West is, they might even know who KRS is before Aceyalone.

Oh yeah he's had one hell of a career, he's sold over 30 million over 9 albums and has had about 10 movies hit #1 in the box office, "Big Willie Style" is one of the selling albums in music history and "Independence Day" is one of the highest grossed films of all-time, "Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air" is an all-time top sitcom right up with "Bill Cosby" and "Friends", accomplishing all this and he ain't even 40 yet, most peeps could work their life in the entertainment buisiness and have that kinda success, there's nobody like him, JJFP did a lot of touring when they came in the game but we were mostly too young to remember unfortunately, I think he's gonna wanna definately do another one one day, he obviously loves hip-hop more than movies 'cause he's had albums flop and he still comes back to do more, I think if some of his movies flopped he'd consider giving up acting faster.

There's a few million anticipating the next Will movie and only a few thousand anticipating Will to go on tour and do another album, if Will's music fans were more loyal than his movie fans I think he'd quit acting but it's not that way, he only needs to do one serious movie and win an Oscar to get it over with so he could retire from acting on top then concentrate on retiring from rap on top winning another Grammy many years from now! :lolsign:

Well let's be realistic, Will has a better chance of winning an Oscar than he does winning a Grammy at this point, I mean if more people went out to buy the album when it dropped he'd done the tour this summer but that didn't happen that way, he's only done a few shows here and there to satisify the few people that listen to him now and he also did the DVD too so he's doing things to satisfy us fans, if the album gone double platinum a tour would've went into effect 'cause there's a big fanbase that'd demand a tour, I think he'll eventually do a tour for loyal fans but right now there's more fans demanding for him to do another movie than there is for him to go on tour, releasing albums every 2 or 3 years is actually better than just doing an album every 5 years and just chill like Rakim or Slick Rick does, doing shows for their few fans in between, Jazzy Jeff is always busy doing something too when Will does movies so it's hard for them to get together like they'd when they were 20 and were single just doing tours when they came out, they got more obligations now.

I got into hip-hop listening to "All World" and "Big Willie Style" so I'm always gonna have a personal bias of FP and LL being ahead of everybody else(even Public Enemy and KRS 'cause I just got into them recent years) but I like a lot of other rappers too of all ages, skills is skills, I actually got Jay-Z' "Fade To Black" DVD recently, he could rock a crowd well and Kanye's following Jay's footsteps, it's also better for somebody to compare Kanye to Will than comparing 50 Cent to Will! Kanye's 2 albums are superior to 50's overrated 2 that's for sure, his albums have a spot in my collection while I wouldn't be caught dead bumpin' 50. :word: It's all about preference, it's like who's better Michael Jackson or Usher? Shaq or Wilt? Mike Tyson or Muhammad Ali? All these cats got talent and fans! btw, I don't think "Lost and Found" is Will's best album either, that crown goes to "He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper" 'cause it may be ol' school but it's musical genius, Jazzy is an awesome producer and turntablist that compliments Will's rhyme skills the best, I think LL should do some songs with Marley Marl again too 'cause that's when LL was really on top of his game, Timbaland and Pharrell are great but Marley Marl's production is superior, "Lost and Found" is lacking Jeff too much to call it most superior, I think "Willenium", "Homebase", and "Code Red" come closer, and I think when Will becomes too serious it's time to retire 'cause an album without a fun FP club track would be like an LL album without a love song, a PE album without a political song, Slick Rick without storytellin', it's his personna. Naturally I'd feel a lil' dissapointed when they rank "College Dropout" and "Blueprint" in magazines as top albums of all-time ahead of "Mama Said Knock You Out" and "He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper" but Jay and Kanye fans would feel the same way if their albums weren't mentioned, that's why we like what we like, agree to disagree, that's why there's forums, I always get into debates too about "Willenium" being better than "Marshall Mathers LP" to those I know that're Eminem fans but they can't deny that he sucks now "Lost and Found" wins hands down against "Encore" and they'll admit it. :stickpoke: :lolsign: Bottomline, JJFP and LL deserve the most respect 'cause they went platinum at a time where only Michael Jackson, Prince, and Madonna would get airplay on top 40 radio, they wouldn't play hip-hop, it's not like now when every rapper on a major label goes platinum where they all get as much spins as Britney Spears on top 40 radio.

Basically if you're more into new school hip-hop you'd like Kanye West better and if you're more into ol' school hip-hop you'd like LL Cool J and Will Smith better, now you could compare Jay-Z to LL Cool J and Will Smith if you want 'cause he's done a lot of things that they've done, he's released 9 albums: some good some great and a couple average in between just like Will but I prefer Will over Jigga 'cause I'm an ol' school hip-hop fan that respects the history but Jay-Z has followed the same path and done some original things of his own too with his clothing line and sneakers that I see a lot of kids wearing where Will has dominated the box office, has a classic sitcom, and was Oscar nominated on the side of his 9 albums, both are renaissance men, Jay-Z also proved that he could do a great album like "Mama Said Knock You Out" without guest appearances when he did "The Blueprint" but I prefer "Mama Said Knock You Out" 'cause of the reason that I'm more of an ol' school hip-hop fan, they all have millions of fans, it's just who you like more I guess, Kanye is a work in progress though no doubt.

Cardinals suck, Emmitt Smith retired and Kurt Warner is garbage now, that actually was a smart move by the Giants to get rid of him and have Eli start, he gives them a more of a chance to compete but let's see the Giants beat the Redskins one time this year and then they might have a chance! :stickpoke:

I think "10", "And In This Corner...", "Born To Reign" and "14 Shots To The Dome" are better than Kanye's 2 albums and they're FP and LL's worst, he might have some flow but he ain't no LL.

To say Kanye's better than Will is biased too, "Golddigger" is more corny than "Switch", Will's rhyme structure and flow is way more advanced than Kanye's too 'cause he's a lot more experienced, I'd say Will at 20 years old is better than Kanye now too, Will's been rapping for 20 years, Kanye's been only been rapping for what, 5 years at the most? How could you compare somebody with 9 albums to somebody with 2 albums, that's an insult, you could compare Will to Casual more realistically 'cause he's been rapping for 12 years but the only one you could realistically compare Will to is LL Cool J, you want an album similar to "Lost and Found", check out "The G.O.A.T.", that's one of the most versatile rap albums ever that tackles many different topics, LL question to state of the rap game on "Back On Where I Belong", he didn't have all the top producers on there either like his recent ones but the rhyme structure and flow is much better.

If you wanna compare somebody's album to Will's, you should listen to Casual's "Smash Rockwell" 'cause that's a great balance album of serious and fun rap songs, he's closer to Will to when it comes to flow and rhyme structure, he could rip Kanye off the mic, "Single Mother"'s such a deep song!
