  1. Those are the wrong lyrics, some fool thought it would be funny 2 make up their own lyrics and send them in 2 AllTheLyrics.com...check it out... http://www.allthelyrics.com/lyrics/will_sm...y-223138-lyric/ "Okay, WHAT, Okay, WHAT, yeah, yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo..... 2. He definitely deserved it. Neither I,Robot or Shark Tale won an award. The Incredibles won best Animated Feature Film, and Spider-Man 2 won best Visual Effects. They showed the 'car accident' scene in I,Robot with all the robots jumping on the car.
  3. Hmm...he read the board. http://www.popjournalism.com/pop/features/...allantyne.shtml DAMN YOU CANADIANS! Speaking of slights, you may have read my negative review of Will Smith’s new single “Switch”. I hated it. I really, really hated it. And when you hate something and write about it, expect the artist’s fans to not like it. Unwisely, I peeked in at a DJ Jazzy Jeff and Will Smith forum and found some angry fans. Looks like our rejection of the missile defence program wasn’t the only thing that didn’t go over well with the Americans. Here’s a few forum excerpts: “Who listens to canadians?” “…i'm pissed and i'm pretty much gonna cut some Canadian bacon tonight!” “who the hell gives a sh*t about wha they think not me” “Whoa...the beat does sound a lot like k-os' ‘Crabbuckit.’ I actually agree with that point.” “that even offends me, i like both wills and JLos tunes and im nota sadist lol. Obviously the guy doesnt like banging beats. Probably bcoz he is some 40 year old guy, old ppl just dont understand hip hop.” (For the record, I’m in my early 20s.)
  4. AJ originally posted these on the old Columbia Will Smith board, and I just happened 2 save them when he posted it back then, and found them on my computer now. These are quotes from Will, and quotes from Jeff speaking about Will from various magazines. --------------------------------- "My strength is that I can feel people; I know what the marketplace is ready for. I waas ready to write my last album (Big Willie Style) years ago, but not until the tragic loss of Tupac and Notrious B.I.G. did i feel it was time. I felt an opening, a desire for change from the darkness of rap music in general. When I heard Tupc, then Biggie, got killed, i said, "This $#!+ is too much for people to by dying because of it." Fresh Prince - Rolling Stone '98 "Nothing like being onstage with a record the entire audience knows. I'm not going with twenty dancers. I'm doing it old-school style, old-school hip-hop. A DJ with two turntables, and me with a microphone. The important thing about being onstage is sharing joy. And i have more joy in my life now than i've ever had, which means i'll have that much more to share with an audience." Fresh Prince - Rolling Stone '98 "When Jazzy Jeff, visiting the film's (Enemy of the State) location in Washinton, D.C., beat him at video football, Smith spent every spare moment for the next three weeks gunning for a rematch, studying the game endlessly. "He knew every play, every trick," Jazzy Jeff says. "And then he came up to Philly, just to beat me. But that's Will. That has always been Will." DJ Jazzy Jeff - Premiere '98 "Rappers like to talk about keepin' it real, you know? But it's like, N!gg@, no you ain't! If you take all of the past five years of gangsta rap records, there's no way that those recrods are indicative of the lifestyle that those people lead every day. Every last one of them n!gg@s has cried in the last five years about something. A'ight? And if it ain't in your record, you ain't keepin' it real, you know what i'm sayin'? To me, that whole keepin it real concept is hypocritial bull$#!+" Fresh Prince - Vibe '98 "When I think of gangsta rap, i think of people who think they're doing what Tupac and Biggie were doing, but intellectually, spiritually, they're fallin' short of the mark." Fresh Prince - Vibe '98 "Everything Jazzy Jeff + Fresh Prince made, from the time we stared rapping, people said 'that's corny' and 'they make music for white people.' It's always been that way, and i don't have a problem with that. People aren't getting killed with the type of music i make." Fresh Prince - Rap Sheet '97 "Will hasn't changed one bit since high school. The only difference i can think of is he used to moon people a lot. I havn't seen him do that in a few years. But he'll still call my studio and disguise his voice like Michael Jackson." DJ Jazzy Jeff - People '99 "Lyric for lyric, ain't alot of people that can touch me" Fresh Prince - The Source '97 "The mistake people make is coming hard to battle me. If you attack me hard, i'ma rip you with comedy. The crowd always responds to comedy. You can't be hard enough to beat somebody who's gonna say funny stuff, freestyling, off the top of his head about things you're wearing, how your face looks. You know, all that type of stuff. You can't beat comedy. You can't win." Fresh Prince - The Source '97 "You can't write good records if you're not smart. And on 85 to 90% of the rap records that you hear, it's just ignorant n!gg@s." Fresh Prince - The Source '97 "And i know i'm good. It's something i've done my whole life. I don't have to make records to make money. I make records 'cause i love doin' it." Fresh Prince - The Source '97
  5. It's just what I wanted from a collaboration with Snoop. People were questioning if they'd make a good track seeing as how Snoop is very unpredictable at times, and I think this is one of the sides that we'll all love. Can't wait 2 hear his verse, and 2 top it all off we have Jeff on the wheels of steel!
  6. He's successful with a romantic comedy...Will is just unstoppable.
  7. I can feel it. I think enough time has passed now 2 call "Switch" a success. I'm so glad 2 see it doing as well as it is, and it's even better 2 see it doing better than the junk that's out there today. It's just so refreshing 2 have an actual good track by a Hip-Hop legend right up there on the charts. Lost & Found is gonna be big...and why do u think so many of the former haters are showing love 4 Will now? Even they can feel it. I think it's getting harder 4 them 2 deny Will now. 2005 - big things!
  8. Those are just so great 2 see, recent pix with Jeff and Will together in them are the best, they're potnas 4 sure, thanx alot 4 the heads up about these.
  9. Everyone's meeting Will, amazing!! Congratz!
  10. That's The Game feat. 50 Cent - Hate It Or Love It
  11. Where have I BEEN!! This is insane!!! There really aren't any words 2 express what I'm feeling now...FP IS BACK AND FOCUSED!!
  12. I might need 2 borrow a tissue...tears of joy are about 2 shed. THANK u all 4 this, I'm now hyped up with so much energy I need 2 take a run around the block. I love both trax...ahh this couldn't be going better!!
  13. I've been watching that, it waz great watching all those videos, I liked this idea of having an MJ marathon. :werd:
  14. Well, it can't always be perfect. After all, it's a Will Smith board. He's been dissed his whole career cuz people mistake kindness 4 softness. Forget about those fools, they'll always be there. Their ignorance proves they don't know what they're talking about anyway. It's funny, there's more beef between the Will Smith fans and the Eminem fans than there is between Will + Eminem!! We're all taking this thing way 2 far when there's nothing even goin on!
  15. Whoa...the beat does sound a lot like k-os' "Crabbuckit". I actually agree with that point. djsilvertiger, I know u listen 2 k-os...what do u think? Listen 2 the opening of "Crabbuckit", then listen 2 the opening of "Switch".
  16. Well...AJ could be right. Let's keep in mind that they've only been together when they HAVE 2 be together. Movie premieres, tv shows, etc...we haven't seen them around together just hangin' out or anything.......but the moment we see a picture of them together without Kevin James, eating at a restaurant or something and kissing.........watch out Eva!! Jada: :mikelowry: Eva: :cya:
  17. Yeah I actually saw it as a joke first, but now I'm realizing they're kissing and holding each other everywhere they go... a bit 2 much if u ask me. :ughwerd:
  18. Yeah that's a very old skool basic message board, hard 2 navigate and very boring overall. Maybe they should have went with an Invision board. :touche:
