  1. I wonder if it's going to stay unreleased.
  2. Check this a Kwame link out. Go to the biography section and scroll all the way to the botton. Has anyone heard of "Got That" or am I looking too much into this?
  3. Lol, ya'll are plain ridiculous. Lol. Hahaha, oh man.
  4. while wearing panties Lol, we don't need proof though... please don't provide proof.
  5. Ok... Sound off on sales. How well do you guys think Lost and Found did in it's second week? I'm going to put myself out there and say that it held steady at about 90k. A lot of people are still talking about it, and a great number of people are hearing about it for the first time. I don't think too many people are downloading it off of itunes, because it's #25 there, so I'm assuming people actually went out and bought the solid copy for old time's sake.
  6. It's probably raw quality as Johnny5 said. All of my Fresh Prince episodes from season 1-6 are either at or above 300 megs themselves, but they easily top 1 gig when they're in raw mpeg format before I encode them. There's also a chance you'll have commercials mixed in as well.
  7. :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious: They never stopped to ask themselves what the significance of the number is... lol
  8. Red Sox once more. Where are my Boston people?
  9. Ok, I didn't want to start a whole new thread, but take a look at this. http://www.virginmegastores.co.uk/icat/home Who's that at #7 in the top sellers list!
  10. My Lost and Found review on yahoo... Pros: Lyrical depth, uplifting messages, and plenty of wit and humor to spare Cons: none It is evident from the very first listen that Will Smith put a great deal of time, creativity and thoughtfullness into this project. The album grabs you from the very onset and you don't find yourself skipping any of the tracks, it's that good! In interviews and promotional appearances for the album, Mr. Smith has mentioned several times that this is the most indepth/introspective writing he has ever done as a rapper and he wasn't kidding. He speaks on subjects near and dear to his heart with such emotion and honesty that it is a shame hip hop had lost him to Hollywood to the extent it has. "Tell Me Why" feat. Mary J. Blige is a primary example of this. Here, he tries to make sense of the "craziness" taking place in the world while at the same time pondering how to explain this craziness to his children, touching on subjects from 9/11 to the passing of hip hop greats and finally coming to a personal conclusion on how to deal with all that is taking place in the world. Songs such as "Loretta" and "Mrs. Holy Roller" also display Will's lyrical prowess as well as the title track "Lost and Found" which has him pondering the state of hip hop and the rap game today. But this is not just a serious album. I guarantee you that when you hear "Party Starter," you won't know what to do with yourself, and other tracks like "Pump Ya Brakes" and "If You Can't Dance" will certainly have you moving towards the dance floor, rhythm or not. If you're a hip hop head, this is a must have. If you're a casual listener, this is a must have. If you can tap your feet to music on beat... at least sometimes... this is a must have.
  11. Perhaps you can download the videos and find a way to send them to Tim. I'm sure we could find a way to make it available to the whole board.
  12. Hmmm... tepid. Doesn't really get into the album, but it's still good promotion.
  13. To tell the truth, I don't know what went down with Sony and Will nor do I know what's going on with Interscope and Will, so I won't vote for either of them. However... I won't be party to the "hate Sony" uprising going on. Look what Big Willie Style sold, 9x platinum. That alone allows me to forgive any transgressions by Sony/Columbia. BWS didn't sell that much by just word of mouth. Sony did their thing over the long haul after all the movie hype from MIB was gone. Willenium was also a pretty good album. Sony did drop the ball on Born to Reign. Will's problem wasn't really with the music he makes. A lot of you enjoyed that music, I certainly did. The real problem is the hip hop community's perception of him. That pervasive "He's an actor, he should leave hip hop alone" attitude is key. They think he's old school, that he doesn't swear enough and he isn't gangsta enough. They won't even give him his props as a pioneer, and they've been saying these things even pre-Sony. It just happens that Will has taken time away from acting to really focus on his music, had a more serious message to convey and has put out a better product on interscope. I can't fault Sony on speculation. Until Will says in an interview or writes in a song, "Sony kept me back" or something of that nature, everything is speculation.
  14. I wasn't about to type this all again. I still want to know if everyone thinks that all the aliens died at the end of ID4 by the way.
  15. Those trashing the Common album are doing so for one reason. They say that the beats are horrible and that Kanye really dropped the ball on the production. Totally forgot about what Common is trying to say in the music, the whole album is bad because the beats aren't what they expected. Someone even said this won't get their speakers knockin' so it's trash. It's come to the point now where the beats that you have on your album surplant what it is you have to say? You know what, if they don't like it, that's a glowing review for me. Lock 'em out, ignore 'em, wave 'em off
  16. I'll even go as far as saying that Will did a much better job in Ali than Jamie Foxx did in Ray. As it stands, they owe Will an oscar for Ali, plain and simple. This is one of the reasons I want to see him make that Pursuit of Hapiness film. It's an oscar noteworthy subject matter.
  17. And remember, the script for Mission Impossible 1 wasn't that hot either. But the sequel was a lot better.
  18. et tu Tim. lol. no sa I agree that the movie shouldn't be rushed without a good storyline and script. And lightning seldom strikes twice, so different people should probably make a sequel, but I maintain that there is a good story in there. You guys can't tell me you left the movie theaters thinking all is well with the ID4 universe. LA, NY, DC, Paris, London, Moscow and like 30 other cities have been destroyed. There are huge spaceships just burning on the surface of the Earth and aliens are most likely running around with biomechanical suits and advanced technology with no way to leave the planet. lol. Stuff is gonna go down. The world doesn't have to be invaded all over again. It's already been partially invaded. It would be cool if we got to see how they dealt with it. Maybe this is where I'm missing everyone. Do people think all the aliens are dead?
  19. I would love to hear what James Avery and Joseph Marcel have to say on the whole issue.
