  1. Sounds like a new album isn't as close as we would hope, but its at least his first priority right now. I'd say we get the first official drops top of the year. This topic and the last few months is a good example of that....So many people here are afraid of what hes doing, who he's working with, and almost demanding he just go back to Willennium and drop music like that...its clear he wants to grow as an artist and test his limits, do something different...i'm excited for that.
  2. I think it has less to do with who he's working with and more to do with....Himself. It's been a decade since his last album and in that time he had little to no desire to ever record a serious album again. He doesn't want to put out a project just to do it. he's been working with Jeff too and is still undecided. Is that to say Jeff doesn't know or understand him? of course not...its just that Will doesn't know what he really wants to do musically, or if he even wants to do it again. He's taking time and feeling things out before he fully commits to it. Don't blame that on Kanye and Drake. Just give the man time and let him work with whoever he wants to. He seems to have formed a bond with Kanye, he's working on a relationship with Drake. Jeff will be involved, people from his past that he trusts will be involved....If he wants 40 to produce a track featuring Drake then let him. It won't compromise who he is. If there is one thing I've learned about Will in the several years I've been a fan its that he won't sell out who he is or compromise himself for anyone. Working with Drake doesn't mean he's trying to sell out for mainstream success. It more likely means he met him, worked with him, liked what he heard, liked how he worked and wants to collaborate with him. You don't see him running to Lil Wayne, or the likes....That's because I think It has less to do with what's commercially successful and more to do with what he likes. And if Will is a fan of Drake's music and wants to work with him I don't see a problem with that.
  3. Sounds like you don't know much about Drake or the situation at hand lol. You do realize Drake is an acclaimed writer himself and has wrote countless songs for other Rappers and Singers? And his Clique has nothing to do with his own talent as an artist. He's league's above anyone on Young Money, but they are the ones who put him on...He's allowed to have friends who are less talented than him. Same way Will Smith is allowed to form new friendships and work with those people if he wants to.
  4. The 3 of them backstage making fun of Meek Mill.... https://twitter.com/itsbizkit/status/628434777113296896
  5. Produced by myself. Its a few years old but I lost the track. does anyone still have it?
  6. I guess that last line threw me off since it's from BNF and he did perform BNF that night.
  7. It sounds like he's just doing Brand New Funk over the Clique beat.....but I feel like all of these appearances Live, and on TV (Jeff asking him a Question on Kimmel) is just Will trying to gauge interest and see if it's worth his time to try Rap one last time.....so far it looks good.
  8. Jeff posted this on his Instagram...
  9. yea sorry..but you're really letting your bias get in the way to say Kanye only does it for fame. its ok not to like the man as a person or even as a musician, but lets not defame him like that....Let Will work with whoever he wants to. Jeff will be involved, and if he wants Kanye, Timbaland, Calvin Harris etc to be involved I'd be all for it.
  10. It's only 6.99 so I'll probably get it just for completions sake but this is completely pointless.
  11. Odd choice. The DJ/Collector in me wants it badly. The grown man with bills knows he can't spend 100 bucks on a vinyl right now lol.
  12. Yup, those are the ones! I'd settle with just the main vinyl versions of each albums (which are all considerably easy to obtain), but those two copies of Rock The House I'd love to own.
  13. ...I've kind of gotten more serious as a record collector over the past few months and my goal is to eventually have a complete JJFP collection (CDs, Vinyls, Singles..) I know that there is a rare 1986 release of Rock The House that I've seen before but...Does anyone know where I can find it now?
  14. First off, what's good everyone. How y'all been? Been a minute. For the past 3 or 4 years I've had this idea for a concept instrumental album and I've been on my Jay Electronica taking forever with every little detail of it....Well it's finally ready... http://vipagts.bandcamp.com/album/regrets It's a bit of a different sound, my goal was to let the music tell the story. Hope you enjoy it :)
  15. Lost and Found is an open letter as to why he doesn't want to do music anymore. He doesn't like the direction rap is going, he doesn't know if he himself can turn it around, and he's tired of trying so hard and getting very little back in return. I don't blame him. Does he still feel that way? Who knows, but it's obvious where his focus is....
  16. So far I've heard 4 songs from MMLP2....And all four are average to terrible....He ****ed up naming it MMLP2.
  17. http://pitchfork.com/news/52794-kanye-west-says-five-yeezus-outtakes-will-probably-be-released-soon/ Kanye said he MAY release 5 tracks from the Yeezus sessions by the end of the year....Fingers crossed that this is one of them...
  18. B.o.B http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmkvrmSNFVM And even Mickey Factz came back out of no where... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUjk0r6DCDw
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkZZo0XSm5s Big Sean was alrigt, Jay Electronica was cool....But Kendrick solidified himself as the best in the game.
  20. So apparently the Deluxe Edition doesn't exist :(...
  21. That was what they were going for. He worked with Rick Rubin on this album. It was Rick's idea to strip a lot out of Bound and keep it as simple as possible. I don't know, I'd consider Rick Rubin one of the most respected people in not just Hip Hop, but music as a whole. Like I said, Will likes Kanye and we all know Will would never compromise himself. It's a collaboration, not Kanye telling him what to do. They worked TOGETHER on it.
