  1. It won't allow non-British, non-UK users sign it. Regardless of what happens, God has his hand on the situation. My prayers to all affected by this loss.
  2. I saw this earlier today and it stirred me up something crazy. Most of you know I'll proudly call myself TLC's biggest fan any day. I've been down with them since the end of 1991 when they came out. Those girls helped me feel comfortable in my own skin growing up. I've spent thousands of hours of my life with the music, their videos, their interviews. I hold them as close to my heart as I do JJ+FP. I was a little worried when I heard they were making a TLC movie, but since TLC was very hands on throughout the whole thing, I was more excited than worried. Based on the trailer, the movie is going to be great. The attention to detail is AMAZING. The costumes they are wearing in this movie are virtually identical to the ones the girls wore in various videos and interviews. Even the sets for the interview were recreated. It's insane to see what they've re-created. I love the fact that they used the FanMail font type throughout the trailer. And the girls playing them are ROCKING IT. I'm not a fan of Lil' Mama, and like most TLC fans, was very critical towards that casting choice. As pictures and news of this movie have leaked, I think all three girls are perfect. The faces the make, their stances, the way they talk...ALL OF IT shows insane study of the girls. The only VH1 movies I remember seeing were the MC Hammer one (which was average at best), and the Michael Jackson one (which was one of the worst things I've ever seen). This time they got it right. The casting, the look/feel of the movie, and involving the actual artists in on the movie has made all the difference. I'm soooooo excited for this!!!
  3. CATHY DENNIS - Just Another Dream Move To This (1991)
  4. P.M. DAWN - The Ways of The Wind The Bliss Album (1993)
  5. I watched this when it aired on TV. It's the only segment from the special that I remember...lol. I recorded it and lost it as I grew up. I actually found it on VHS and bought it, which I have yet to open. However, I don't remember the random shots with E.T....lol. I'm thinking there are two versions of this...one without E.T. This has always been my favorite posse cut line up...I just wish they also recorded a track with different subject matter.
  6. A few years ago one of us posted. I haven't watched it since then. I love the energy in this one!
  7. COLOR ME BADD - I Wanna Sex You Up CMB (1991)
  8. BLACK EYED PEAS - Magic Legally Blonde Soundtrack (2001) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3iEUnmmK7k I don't like the person who made this used footage with Fergie instead of Kim, who is actually singing on the song.
  9. LL just put out the "Not Leaving You Tonight" lyric video. I'm not sure why he waited so long. It's not on YouTube yet, so you have click the link below...you'll find it under the short article. http://www.metrolyrics.com/blog/2013/07/08/premiere-ll-cool-js-not-leaving-you-tonight-lyric-video/
  10. July 8th, 2013 | 1:50 pm Willow Smith Enters The Song Of The Summer Race With “#SUMMERFLING” by Mark Graham (@unclegrambo) What is it about the Smith family and summer jams? Back in his Fresh Prince days, Will Smith recorded what might just be the ultimate Song of the Summer, “Summertime.” Now, his daughter Willow Smith is staking her own claim to the summer throne with her new single, “#SUMMERFLING.” Willow’s new project, Melodic Chaotic, has her teamed up with the producer DJ MVISC Fabrenga. The two are reportedly working on a 4 song EP, which will reportedly drop later this summer. Meanwhile, in the here and now, this new hashtag-friendly jawn has a lush, chilled out, very Balearic kind of sound that reminds us very much of the mid-Aughts club smash, Mr. Joshua’s “In Praise Of The Sun.” The themes are very much what you’d expect from a song voiced by a 12-year-old: Long walks on the beach (albeit midnight ones, which not many parents that we know would sign off on), not wanting to get too serious too quickly, and what hairstyles (long hair, short sides) are currently en vogue. Aside from an annoying and unexplained spoken-word aside wherein a bewigged Willow adopts a faux British accent (a la her old “Fireball” pal, Nicki Minaj), this is a great song to add to your summer mixtape. http://www.vh1.com/music/tuner/2013-07-08/willow-smith-summerfling/
  11. LOL...the first half is terribly, awful, yet funny. The rap was really good. I'm not sure how to process this...LOL.
  12. This sounds great. The term "concept album" gets thrown out a lot. Sometimes it's a good thing and sometimes it's a bad thing. I'm trusting this is a GOOD thing.
  13. Congrats, I'm happy for you, man! I think it's funny that many of us got on this message board with music, school, sports, videos games, etc as our main priorities in life. Now we're paying mortgages, getting married, etc...LOL Crazy...
  14. I have doubts too. After Rick Rubin talked about the messy state the album was in when he heard it just weeks before it came out, I doubt the song was anywhere near completion. Rick talked about most of the songs just being instrumentals with little to no vocals. Some of them were even completely written. Kanye was at peace with the devastating state the album was in. He essentially put the album together for Kanye while he did other things. Rick said how originally the album was supposed to be 16 tracks, and he suggested to Kanye "maybe this is the first disc of 2." When I hear that, I hear "your album is a wreck and you've done nothing to nurture these songs...the music isn't good...it's not releasable, etc." There's talk of a "part 2" coming out later because of that, but does that mean the music is worth hearing/releasing? Will the track be make it to that album? I don't feel things look good, and it's probably the song I anticipate the least that I know exists.
  15. We've KNOWN this. But it feels good to hear it again and again.
  16. I'm not familiar with Peter Andre, but I really liked the song. I just wish the chorus wasn't all dancy and over synthed. JEREMIH - Keep It Movin' Late Nights (Mixtape) (2012)
  17. Oh yeah, and "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It" made it as well!!
  18. It looks like "Switch" made the tracklisting!!
  19. Ga. medical official: Rapper died of drug overdose By PHILLIP LUCAS | Associated Press – 3 hours ago ATLANTA (AP) — Chris Kelly of the '90s rap duo Kris Kross died of a drug overdose, a medical office investigator said Monday. A toxicology screening revealed that Kelly, 34, had a mixture of drugs in his system when he was pronounced dead on May 1, said Betty Honey of the Fulton County Medical Examiner's office in Atlanta. Paramedics found Kelly unresponsive on a living room couch at his Atlanta home and tried to resuscitate him. Kelly, known as "Mac Daddy," was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. Honey said she did not know which specific drugs Kelly had used before his death. However, a police report from the night of Kelly's death said his mother told investigators her son used cocaine and heroin the night before he died and had a history of drug abuse. Kris Kross was introduced to the music world in 1992 by music producer and rapper Jermaine Dupri after he discovered the pair at a mall in southwest Atlanta. Kelly performed alongside Chris Smith, who was known as "Daddy Mac." The duo wore their clothes backward as a gimmick, but they won over fans with their raps. Their first and most successful song was the 1992 hit "Jump," which became a chart-topper in the United States and around the world. The two were never able to match the tremendous success of their first song, though they had other hits like "Warm It Up," and "Tonite's tha Night." At a memorial ceremony for Kelly in early May his uncle, Lemar Williams, said Kelly showed a love for music from an early age and mimicked Michael Jackson's dance moves. Williams said Kelly loved Atlanta and never wanted to live anywhere else. Earlier this year, Kris Kross performed in Atlanta to celebrate the anniversary of Dupri's record label So So Def and Williams said Kelly was planning to make a comeback. http://music.yahoo.com/news/ga-medical-official-rapper-died-drug-overdose-222430113.html
  20. Sure, some of it is dated; that's the part of the charm of well-loved movies. In the US, it IS a huge staple. It's a modern classic that reached all creeds as an unforgettable Summer blockbuster. That being said, I'll say what I've said 100 times...there's NO REASON to revisit this and tarnish legacy with a sequel just to make some money. It's a dumb idea on all levels. Period.
  21. Dope remix! I like the official ones better, but I really like the way they mixed elements of the original with the new. It's a totally way to approach the song and the vocals FIT! Thanx for sharing!
  22. This is amazing. The song is amazing in itself, but the video takes it to whole new level. It's a great documentation of life on a personal level, but something that millions of people will enjoy over the years. Nice work.
  23. They were really in the zone for the performance. It may be the best we've heard them on one of these shows yet. Jaden needs to abandon the email rap style and do what he's doing here. Hopefully he's finding that out.
