  3. My show opened this weekend, so I haven't seen it yet, but I'm gonna try to catch it in the next two nights. :)
  4. MEGHAN TRAINOR - Walkashame Title (2015) She is one of my favorite songwriters. Not only is she crazy talented, but she's funny too.
  5. CHRIS BROWN + TYGA - Ayo Fan of A Fan (2015) Not my usual taste, but I like this album.
  6. Chamillionaire Is Now An Entrepreneur In Residence at a Venture Capital FirmBy Alex RussellIn a letter penned by VC Mark Suster explaining the head-turning week he's had at Upfront Ventures in Los Angeles, he explains the presence of a new face around the office: Chamillionaire. The same Chamillionaire who was showing us how to get our respective shines on not a decade ago. But if Kanye has taught us anything, it's that we can find success in multiple creative outlets. In the past five years or so, Cham has been quietly but actively involved in the tech startup scene, from speaking on social media engagement in the music industry to hanging out with Y Combinator associates. He's also been making some investments himself. He was one of the earliest investors in Maker Studios, an online video network founded in 2009 and sold to Disney for $500 million last year. The firm he's currently hanging with and advising, Upfront Ventures, has a vast portfolio that includes some acquired startups such as Bill Me Later (Rick Ross may or may not have been referring to this method of monetary transaction on his verse for Nicki Minaj's "I Am Your Leader"). Suffice it to say that Chamillionaire has transcended the days when he explained on YouTube how Michael Jordan sonned him, or maybe that was just an early example of his Internet savvy and ability to manipulate viral stories and plant social media engagement. At any rate, in a world in which Internet entrepreneurs like Ben Horowitz make business decisions through the inspiration of rap songs, it's not surprising to see that we now have rappers getting their own piece of the pie. We can all agree that Chamillionaire should be given a platform to speak at the next TechCrunch Disrupt conference. 7. Mark just posted this on his Facebook... Marky Mark, Fresh Prince, and Donnie D. I assume this is one of those MTV Rock + Jock Games...1991 or 1992.
  8. Nothing too amazing here, but still good to see it. He's so laid back in this. I hate interviews where Jazzy hardly talks...lol.
  9. Everyone needs to realize this. The Fresh Prince doesn't talk about music unless he's going to release it. He's just not publicly committing to it since he's adjusting to the times when it comes to music today. If he was working with Jeff, the whole thing would be natural. Did you see his smile when the crowd started reacting to him doing new music? That look was priceless.
  10. Here's an interview featured on The Source. The reporter asks how many songs he recorded with Kanye. He replies 7 or 8, but it's hard to say if it's talking about songs in general or just with Kanye. I stand where I always have; if it's comparable to Kanye's production from his first 3 albums, I'm okay with it. Otherwise, I don't care. I like that he says that it's not something he likes yet...lol You can see the short article here... http://thesource.com/2015/02/26/will-smith-has-recorded-7-8-songs-with-kanye-west/
  11. This is the best! LOL I love it! I wish they spent more time air time with them talking.
  12. WARREN G + KENNY G - Regulate (Live) (2015) So random, yet so good.
  13. MICHAEL JACKSON - Will You Be There Dangerous (1991) While mostly lipsynced, this is still one of my all time favorite performances. I remember watching it when it aired.
  14. LEFT EYE + BOOTLEG (DAYTON FAMILY) - Fantasies Fantasy1.com (Unreleased) (1997-1999)
  15. I love the image at the top of the board! It feels complete to me now...lol I think music is the primary draw to this board. It makes sense that 2005 was insane since Lost + Found had come out. This was also when FP was putting out at least one movie a year and they were all good. I'm sure we are going to see a spike this year. I'm not sure why so many regulars have disappeared. It doesn't seem like many people are contributing to the board.
  16. SHAI - Waiting For The Day If I Ever Fall in Love (1992) Man, I remember playing this album non-stop in 7th grade. It's been awhile since I listened to it all the way through.
  17. I love how she always supports his music and the show. I wish she took on more music and acting related projects because I love pretty much everything she does. ....plus I still have a crush on her.
  18. When he's ready for music, he always goes hard...lol. I love the mini performance. I'll have to look up this interview. Of all the late night hosts, I think FP is always the most comfortable with Dave Letterman.
  19. Immature released a free EP titled "Remember" on Valentine's Day. That's right, FREE! You can download it from their Soundcloud. Here's a write-up on it from BET... Immature Drops Valentines Day EP, Remember R&B group unveils new songs along with remakes of their hits "Please Don't Go" and "Never Lie." By Moriba CummingsPosted: 02/14/2015 03:00 PM ESTFiled Under Valentine's Day, Music News, New Music, Immature Just in time for Valentine's Day, legendary R&B group Immature released Remember, a compilation EP of reworked and brand new tracks. With 2015 versions of their hits "Never Lie" and "Please Don't Go," and freshly written songs like "Oh My," "Best Sex," and "Let Me Find Out" appearing on the project, listeners are sure to be satisfied. "We feel so excited to give our fans some of our old hits with a new sound," the group collectively said in a statement. "It's like reminiscing or going down memory lane, and the new sound will gain new fans. And hopefully all our fans — old and new — will love the music." Remember is only an appetizer. The group is currently putting the finishing touches on their seventh studio album, Forever, and later this year, Immature, which consists of all three original members, Marques Houston, Jerome Jones and Kelton Kessee, are also set to hit the road on a national headlining tour. Aside from the music, the group is in talks to produce a biopic chronicling its career. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sadly it's not as good as their past work. The production lacks soul and is aimed for today's so-called urban radio. "Best Sex" is easily the best song in my opinion. Download it here...
  20. It looks modern and clean. I usually prefer a little more color or imagery, but I like it.
  21. DALEY - Those Who Wait Alone Together (2013) I haven't listened to Daley, so I popped the EP in this morning. This song/lyrics grabbed me in a way it's never grabbed me before. I can't stop listening to it. R&B fans, peep this.
  22. Will Smith Has Banned His Kids From Hanging Out With Kendall & Kylie Will is staying clear of the mess, and so are his kids There’s a saying: “It takes a village to raise a child.” The Jenner family has officially been evicted from the Smith’s village. The Jenners–and, by association, the Kardashians–have had a pretty hectic week, thanks in large part to the internet (no surprise there), and Tyga, who has come under extra scrutiny this week for his relations (or alleged lack thereof) with 17-year old Kylie Jenner. Since summer 2014, reports have been surfacing that Kylie and Tyga have been traveling all around the country together engaging in sexual relations, and just recently, Drake used their perceived inappropriate relationship as fuel for a shot he fired at the “AYO” rapper on a recent song, “6 PM In New York,” in which Drizzy raps “You need to act your age, and not your girl’s age.” Yesterday, the internet was ablaze with conversations about the Twitter jabs Khloe Kardashian and Amber Rose traded, with the pot calling the kettle black each tabloid star accusing the other of having a dishonest come-up. It’s nothing new in the Jenner-Kardashian world however, and clearly, Will Smith has taken note of that. In light of it, according to OK! magazine, the Focus actor has banned his children from hanging out with Kendall and Kylie Jenner. Will and Jada were never fans of the Kardashian clan. But after learning about Kendall and Kylie’s recent antics, they don’t want Willow and Jaden associating with the girls anymore. There’s more. Despite reported resistance from Jaden, Will and Jada refuse to let their kids become “pawns” in the Jenner and/or Kardashian “low-level frame game.” Ouch. So far, there’s been no tweet or Instagram post comment from kids of either family, but surely, this isn’t the last we’ll hear of this. http://thesource.com/2015/02/17/will-smith-has-banned-his-kids-from-hanging-out-with-kendall-kylie/
  23. It fits. The beat is really busy and might sound a little better if it wasn't as loud. FP's vocals kinda get lost in that business, so taking the beat down a little might make the two beats less distracting compared to the vocals. I absolutely hate blends where the beat doesn't fit the lyrics, so you've already achieved the most important part with this first mix.
  24. Even if you look past the chemistry within JJ+FP, Jeff's goal is to make good music. Those other guys are just worried about charting hits. The artistry takes the backseat for them....if it's in the car at all.
