  1. Samuel L. Jackson is a modern day legend on the big screen. He has the right 2 be picky about what he dose and who he works with. Heck, i'm just a local actor and i've dropped out of 2 shows in the past 5 months cuz i knew they wouldn't meed my personal requirements. 50 Cent has a 1 dimentinal personality on his records...why would he all of a sudden be able 2 act in a movie?!?! He probably will just play one of those "i think i'm gangsta" type of characters which will be the same fake persona he puts on in his stupid music videos. I understand why he would disagree with Samuel L. Jackson's decision, but he should have kept his mouth shut and try 2 prove himself. 50 Cent really is a joke. That movie lost a great actor simply cuz they wanted 2 have a rap pop star in their movie 2 drag his white teenage fanbase. (yes, that waz a joke...don't no crackers get bent outta shape...i'm white 2... :hilarious: )
  2. I think it'd be cool and let "Why" wait. "Switch" dosen't look like it's picking up momentum until now. Let it shine a bit and see what it can do. When it starts 2 drop, hit 'em with "Why"...then when late May/early June comes...give us a straight Hip-Hop joint or club joint 4 the summertime.
  3. where did you read that? He only says "Tatyana Ali" on the track. :hilarious: FP also served as Executive Producer of her 1998 album Kiss The Sky. Better than that, he also dropped a rap on a remix of her single "Boy You Knock Me Out" which had a great music video 4 it as well. He also put her on the Wild Wild West soundtrack with Kel Spencer.
  4. Willennium is amazing...after all these years. I'm expecting Lost + Found 2 be a mixture of Big Willie Style, with Willennium, and a dash of Code Red.
  5. I got Omarion's album at Target, cuz thru' them, u can get a download of an unreleased b-side. However, when i tried 2 get it, it didn't work. The same thing better not happen with FP's album.
  6. Hmmmm...i'd say the turtle. I know how 2 take care of animals so it's be no problem...but at the same time, my ex got a turtle last year and it died a few days after she got it, even tho' he took care of it. Hitler's skull wouldn't be so bad tho'...haha. A skull is a skull, that's just nasty. If i had 2 living rooms, i would just never go in the one that has Hitler's skull in it. I like the idea of making money rather than risking loosing it. I don't like this ?uestion as much. :kool:
  7. Yeah, it's like family over here.
  8. Tra-Knox is a real talent...but Born To Reign didn't provide them with the outlet they needed. I saw them sing live...those cats are 4 real. Born To Reign was FP's weakest album, but Tra-Knox isn't the reason 4 that...it waz the production. The music experements were just 2 much.
  9. Things are on and poppin'!! These are the best promo pix for any of his solo albums.
  10. When a CD dosen't have an explict lyrics sticker, they don't usually make an edited version. I have albums by Ginuwine and Omarion that have 1 or 2 cuss words on them but since the overall album is tasteful, the record company dosen't press a whole 'nother version of that album just 2 clean up 1 or 2 words. Trust me, there won't be and edited version of a Fresh Prince album. :kekeke:
  11. That's crazy!! I'm curious on how the DVD is being put 2gether. Since there are songs from 3 different record labels, that means ALOT of paperwork and stuff 4 a DVD with limited availability.
  12. Downloading kinda cancels out the point of getting it remastered. Downloading something and them putting it on CD can never compare 2 having the CD itself. Besides, there is pix in that CD insert that are pretty rare.
  13. Keep it 2 yourself. There's no need 2 put it online. We've heard a taste of it and we have less than 2 weeks until we get the album. No need 2 have fake fans coming up in here downloading when there is no guarentee those people are gonna be getting the album. Thanx 4 the offer tho.'
  14. U can call it pop if u want, but "Hey Bitty" is nothing but an updated version of some of Young MC's and Tone Loc's early music. I guess some people just don't know the roots.
  15. The kinda slang i hear around me is usually the same stuff u see on TV and hear in music (here in the US).
  16. Well, the most of the people who vote 4 that kinda stuff listen pop music...like Hillary Duff and 50 Cent. It's the way thing are, it's a struggle 2 get FP's music 2 the top.
  17. Yeah, it's definitly worth getting when u got a few extra dollars. Having the music remastered is a very cool thing. It brings some life back in some of the trax u've heard over and over again. If u do get it, just shop around 4 the cheapest price.
  18. "This Boy Is Smooth" always stood out 2 me since the 1st time i heard it. The production is amazing. FP's lyrics are smooth with a dash of suddle comedy. Just a great song.
  19. Very cool...this happened just after all of us started voting like crazy. We gotta keep this up and try even harder!!
  20. I'm gonna make a point 2 vote every time i hit up the board 2 vote. Once we get it on the countdown, other people who watch the show will start helping us out.
  21. I think i'd tell them they were snoring....then kick them again.
  22. LL has said that 14 Shots To The Dome waz he most unfocused album. His career waz just kinda exhausted at that point. Going away then coming back. I love 14 Shots To The Dome. He said that it waz his weakest album, but that it did have it's strong moments. I remember he mentioned "Pink Cookies..." (one of my fav LL joints) and i think "Diggy Down." At the same time, FP said Code Red didn't work becuz he waz lacking confiedence. He calls "Boom! Shake The Room" the weakest songs he's ever recorded. It just seems like alot of true skool emcees look back at that 'just after early 90's' era in a bad way. Commercially, people who listened 2 Hip-Hop now listened 2 gangsta rap. Old skool legends releaxed a lil' bit and focused more on their street edge (JJ+FP, LL, Queen Latifah, Run-DMC, UMC's)...all resulting in good music, but staggering sales (except 4 Latifah). I don't know, i think that dark era brought out alot of good music, but the artists who made it don't seem 2 feel that way.
  23. Ha...i love "Nasty Girl"...it's just a fun track. All of my friends have been feelin' this song since October...maybe it's a Maryland thing. "Nasty Girl" dosen't really display his mic skillz...but i think the song is infectious. Dose anyone here remember the days when Hip-Hop waz fun? Well, this is a modern taste of it.
