  1. SHAQUILLE O'NEAL + RAKIM - Game Of Death You Can't Stop The Rain (1996) I might be the only one who totally feels Shaq's music...but some of u should really peep out his 1996 album.
  2. FP is in Kel's 1st video. U have my word on that.
  3. I'm wit Wes. I don't see why it's hard 2 see why i can't stand commerical rap. Over the past few months alot of new people have shown up...alot of u are young and just haven't been exposed 2 real Hip-Hop. Everyone is entitled 2 their own opinion, but school yourself. After listening 2 old school Hip-Hop and true school Hip-Hop, it's no great wonder why most Hip-Hop heads hate commercial rap. Over produced beats are used 2 cover up a lack of skill on the mic. Half the time, that isn't even the case. All those 50 Cent beats are trash. They are lightweight, sloppily processed trax. Then u hear their voices and delivery. Mike Jones, G-Unit, Nelly, and Lil' Jon sound awful on the mic. They have zero skillz on the mic...period. U've all heard Fresh Prince on the mic...how u gonna say any of them can share the same studio as him. And lastly, but most importantly...LYRICS. G-Unit isn't saying anything that has been a million times on rap records in the past 10 years. There is no creativity or originality 2 what they do. All these commercial cats are cookie cutter puppets who do what everyone else dose. They are preaching poison 2 kids and weak minded individuals. Even when they try 2 come correct, they fall flat on their face. Listen 2 "Tell Me Why"...it dosen't get any realer than that. Listen 2 Jadakiss' "Why." There's no heart in that. Jadakiss isn't idenifying with people suffering in this world. He's just making a record. If record lables ever wanna stop supporting all these idiots who are doing this, maybe we can get back 2 the days of the 80's and early 90's when smart, positive people actually had a chance of making a decent video, getting it aired, and have spins on the radio. Wake up people. p.s. i doubt i'll feel like replying 2 anyone who is gonna defend G-Unit, Mike Jones, Nelly, Ja-Rule, Lil' Jon, Ying Yang Twins, Lil' Scrappy, Tony Yayo, Puffy, Jadakiss, Ludacris or anyone else. Say what u want, but i've said pretty much all i need 2 say. This topic has been run in2 the ground recently.
  4. Tim, what makes u think this movie will bad. They are airing the trailors like crazy here in the US and the movie looks real good and inspirational 2 me.
  5. I almost got a mixer off the internet years ago just 2 have it. JJ+FP has alot of 1st's...we should probably make a post where we can submit all of the 1st's they've accomplished.
  6. That whole album is amazing. U can tell JJ+FP had big things in store 4 them...but who knew they'd be where they are 2day. I got Rock The House 4 years after it dropped (i actually got Homebase + He's The DJ..." 1st) but i remember staying up all nite in my cousin's basement listening 2 it over and over again. Everyone else when 2 bed around 2 or 3 a.m....but i waz up until the sun waz comin' up just vibin' with it.
  7. This whole thing seems like a stupid gimmick 2 me. For what's worth, i think it's highly likely that he's got no skillz and is piggie-back ridding 50's undeserved success. Either that or he's working with 50 2 make the gimmick bigger. Who knows....who cares. There's actually a G-Unit video on 106 + Park right now...the new Tony Yayo...man, it's awful.
  8. Thanx so much 4 the article!! I've been dying 2 see this movie since i 1st knew it waz shooting. I'll be there opening nite...afterall, 2 of the people i admire the most are in it. The new album is what i'm dying 4. I don't know how i feel about him letting others get down on the songwriting tip...but if he's dropping an album every year or 2, i guess it dosen't bother me that much. It looks like alot of new school talent is on it...but LL wouldn't do his fans wrong.
  9. CE CE WINANS - Without Love Alabaster Box (1999)
  10. Back in the 90's i used 2 watch it when it aired late at nite. I never did see the movie.
  11. I don't see this as a bad thing at all. He's been working non-stop 4 a long tyme. Who are we 2 get upset if he takes a break?! And we all know that he's always working on music. I don't think that he's gonna stop writing and recording during his hiatus. I actually think this is a really good thing 4 his music.
  12. I saw this in front of The Ringer (a very funny movie by the way). It looks hilarious. I can't wait 2 see it.
  13. MARIAH CAREY + FAT JOE - It's Like That (Scott Storch Remix) We Belong Together Import CD Single (2005)
  14. Timbaland's "Here We Come" is a dope track. That waz actually a single/video back in 1998...the 1st off his solo album. While we are on the topic of FP/Timbaland samples. Timbo also sampled the I Dream of Genie theme on that album (just like "Girls Ain't Nothing But Trouble). It's dope. I think alot of FP fans would like Timbaland + Magoo's stuff. Their albums are amoungst my favs when it comes 2 new school stuff. "Here He Comes" is dope album opener, but it may be my least fav track on the album. That's the 1st time that the JJ+FP track on a solo album waz my least fav. I don't think "Chosen One" would be a good album opener tho'...it's just 2 slow and sluggish. It would be a good intro 2 a mixtape tho.'
  15. I think it would be stupid 2 shun the album. I just think it should be used in moderation. After visiting various message boards over the years, there are alot of fans who lean more towards R-N-B and Pop music who love the album. Born To Reign, Act Like You Know, How Da Beat Goes, Give Me Tonite, and Momma Knows are amoungst the best trax FP had done. It would be an insult 2 FP and his fans 2 pretend the album didn't happen.
  16. BLACK EYED PEAS - My Humps (Lil Jon Remix) (((don't know))) (2005) Don't let Lil' Jon's name scare u away from peeping this remix. IT'S DOPE!! It reminds me of his production in the 90's...which waz mostly bass music...not dirty south crap.
  17. Wes waz the computer brains behind the site...and see his post above...ha ha. We talked about updating it months ago but the password thing got in the way. I don't do the whole webdesign thing so i wouldn't be able 2 do it on the solo tip. I haven't peeped it in ages...i guess i'll check out the time warp that is the Will Smith Fan Domain.
  18. JOHN MAYER - Why Georgia Room For Squares (2001)
  19. Kanye has a big mouth and becuz of that...it's easy 4 him 2 contradict himself. I don't even take him seriously. His new single with Adam Levine might be dope...but that's all he's got going 4 himself these days.
  20. I watch it once in awhile...usually on Throwback Thursdays. It's just polluted with so much trash...since that's mostly what comes out these days. They did play "Switch" tho'...just not very often. And while u mentioned Big Tigger, i just gotta say that he's one of my favorite Hip-Hop personalities. I hope he's still working on an album cuz he dose have crazy skillz. Oh yeah, and JJ+FP waz on the show in 2000. My VCR didn't tape it so missed the 2nd half.
  21. Wow, i waz reading that and asking myself if Tim or myself had written it. That waz dope. Thanx 4 sharing. We should cut and paste all over other Hip-Hop sites/message boards. It's never 2 late promote Lost + Found.
  22. PUBLIC ENEMY - Check What You're Listening To New Shirl Odor (2005) After seeing some of the artists people have been giving props 2 on this board recently...it's only appropriate 2 be listening 2 this.
  23. RUN-D.M.C. - Rock Box (B-Boy Mix) (self-titled) Remastered 2005 (1984)
