  1. if will really said that, then i think that was a wrong to say. i know he is entitled to free speech as his fundamental right, but it should have reason. comparing terrorist attacks to racism is to say the least uncharitable. when those planes struck on 9/11, they didn't discriminate against black or white or religion. when those attacks occured, it was like the whole of humanity/world was under seige not only the u.s. we are all fans of will but we should not forget he's human and imperfect. i'm very sure if he lost a relative in those attacks, he's views would have been different. celebrities should be very careful of their political statements especially someone of will's calibre cause it could hurt them tremendously. i'm very sure if any of the bereaved of those attacks heard about will's statements and they were fans of his, then he's lost them. it's just similar to statements credited to krs-1 about 9/11 too. i somewhat have a theory: if any african american feels strongly about racism and lives in constant paranoia, then he/she should come back to africa and reside here. there's no racism here and they'll be black like any other person and they'll have a good time. cause racism ain't gonna be eliminated in the states in the nearest future if at all. will was somewhat indifferent to affairs such as this but now he's vocal on them he should be very careful of his statements. the 9/11 attacks were terrible and unjustifiable and should be condemned by all well meaning people. they were a result of the u.s's actions or inactions in foreign policy.
  2. when i say jay z was with him on it, i meant jay felt will's flow on the song and not working with him on the song.
  3. i thought you guys said no more eminem on this board. what's goin on? run out of ideas or somethin'? when i raised an eminem post a few months back, i was attacked left right and center. if nobody has anythin good to talk about, we can quit sending posts and then wait for will's new single and album. em's time has gradually come to one annoying end with this f**ked up album of his.
  4. it's the way the poster was photographed, there's nothin wrong with his hair.
  5. to me the song will flowed well on was 'just cruisin'. i have to admit that a couple of mc's were with him on that song, notably jay z. overrated, yeah it's gotta be 'gettin jiggy with em'. the song is so infectious. it's just a feel good party song. to me underrated was 'the rain', that's classic hip hop. hey, do you guys notice how well will flowed lyrically on BWS than any of his other albums. being in the movie business didn't help him 'cause he sounded rusty on BTR.
  6. i loved 'freakin it', one of my best will songs. surprising it wasn't a hit, with a fly video. nas had the same problems with will in columbia. i don't know if sony chose his singles, cause back then they were your average pop mainstream hits. but that has changed now, cause nas drops very grimy street anthems as his first singles and sony doesn't bug him. well all that's history now and will should learn from his mistakes, i hope he really pushes it up with his new effort, by giving us real and true HIP HOP and not try and please some record label or some pop lovers. speaking of real hip hop, you guys should go check out nas's new lp 'street disciple', i think it's released in the states today. i listened to the leak on a hip hop site and it's really phat. to me his best album after 'illmatic'. this is only for true lovers of hip hop.
  7. to me personally, apart from being a will fan, i think he's one of the best male dressers in the world.
  8. i think there's virtually nothn to talk about since there's nothin new from will. i really don't have much to talk about until i hear the new single and album from him. so i dare anyone to come up with a post that ain't stupid right now!
  9. the gardner movie will be typically a movie for award recognition, although the the person being portrayed is hardly known. but charlize theron won an oscar for playing a serial killer in a biopic about an unknown too, so maybe that's good for will if he nails this one good. i don't know what the 'i am legend' is all about, but i'd like 'a star is born'. that's a project that has been close to his chest for years now. the others are the typical blockbusters which will should avoid for the next 3 to 5 years!
  10. 1. do you think will has what it takes to be accepted in the hip hop community as a good mc with this new single 2. knowing that you produced the track, you might be partial in your analysis but how well were his lyrics and his flow orally? 3. i hope the beat doesn't sound as bad as lloyd bank's 'fire'! (don't ask him this please!)
  11. i know this ain't much of an important topic but can anyone tell me where trey smith is? i haven't seen him around will or heard from him in ages. is he in boarding school or with his moms? that's the next will in flesh and blood. i'm just curious.

  13. we ain't true fans of will if we don't voice out our true feelings about his career both in music and film. most of the time I critcise will's choices of doin things cause i think he won't earn him the deserved respect he desrves. i'm somewhat against will's preference for commercialism most especially in his movies, the so called blockbusters. also the 'switch' remix feat. elephant man didn't go down well with me. krizia felt the same way. but i've noticed that some people on this board always tend to be against any form of criticism, no matter how well-intentioned, against will's actions. but hey krizia, it won't do good goin cause someone called you names, if you're a true fan of fp/jj, then ignore em!
  14. will has proven he's a blockbuster hitman. i think i've had enough of his blockbusters and if i see him personally, i'll let him know i'm fed up with em and he should seek and SEARCH for better films and great roles in his upcoming projects. the disadvantages of blockbusters, is sometimes they take the attention from the story and it all rakes of money and hype. will should take on more movies with a lot of artistic genius in em and substance. period.
  15. "Kidman has turned to comedy, currently shooting 'Bewitched' with Will Smith. " who are we to believe? if there is one to to play the hubby to kidman, then he has to be white get it?
  16. i'm one of those a little distressed by movie critics with their scathing reviews. i was even more disturbed after will's last three movies were rubbished (mIIb, bb2 and i, robot.. even sharktale!) by them. that's what prompted me to find the about reviews on the net and i came up with this link. it has an article that talks about the importance of film reviews and it sort of answered my questions. here it is: http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/enter...10020004.htm?1c it's food for thought especially for those of you who hate critics. enjoy.
  17. colin and will playing detectives together? c'mon, colin is no where near will in hollywood. jamie could go for it cause he and colin are probably on the same level. good decision will!
  18. there's a lot of anxiety from our friend lerkot and i understand. i feel the same way too! i hope this single and album brings fp back to the game for a couple of years before he retires... cause if not? will is gonna be one of the biggest disappointments in hip hop history. but since jj is on board and he has his independence now, then we can only hope and pray for the best.
  19. they had better not try em and will pleeeeeeeeeeeease! would u mind leaving blockbusters for at least 2 years? i'm sick and tired of em. i wanna see u in more 'serious' movies. bb3: good only on the condition of mega great script, remember bb2 didn't outdo bb1. mib3, nah. it'll ruin will's movie career
  20. hi guys, being gone for a minute, how've y'all been? em, interscope? that's a label where they are a lot of will hater's. but what the hell? if it's just to distribute his music which we are all dying to hear then who gives a ....?
  21. yo will, happy 36th b day men! want u to know that i'm a die hard fan of yours and will always continue to be. u inspire me; u're ma greatest role model. just want u to know that they are a lot of haters who don't see anythin' good about u or anythin' u do. just keep ur head up and be focused. b4 u venture into anythin' in ur musical or movie career, u gotta pray and meditate and also research 'bout it, to know if it's good enuff 4 u and ur career and ur fans and also the receiving public (consumers). we wanna see u earn a grammy and an oscar before u turn 40! best of luck and keep keepin' it real! once again happy birthday and much love!!!!!!
  22. i always knew will was true to type. out of all the celebritites that have visited south africa, mandiba considered it fit for will to be his aids charity project ambassador. not even charlize theron who is a native of that country. this will now silence those never-ending critics who say will doesn't give back or isn't into charity. aids is a global pandemic, so will isn't just domestic now, he's global. and what about that parley he had with the sec. general of the UN? what was it all aBout somebody?
  23. hey, hero 1 says he's listened to it. is it live or... what?
  24. you just took one side of a critic, everrybody musn't like the film. i think it's gonna be a great movie. i know everyone's gonna compare it to shrek 2, just li8ke i, robot was compared to spiderman 2 or other sci-fi hits. i, robot did not meet my expectations of a great futuristic sci-fi flick, but it was above average. sharkslayer is gonna be great, 'cause the critics are not viewing the movie on its own, instead they are comparing it to other toons released b4 it. why don't you read the reviews of those who feel the movie is great, and compare with the canadian. or don't read any until; you go see 'em! peace
