Well nothing last forever....hehe I don't think being at number 2 it's a flop...at least for the moment.

I guess Jim Carrey's movie will be at number 1. I was expecting this, and next week the number one will be for Brad Pitt.

Ouch! i guess its like hes said, he can afford to make mistakes. If any of his movies was gonna be a "flop" it would be this one, people dont know what its about.

Yeah that's the big problem to sell this movie. I don't Know where but the other day I read in a blog something like ' we've seen SP trailer 3 times and we still don't have idea what this movie is about'

Well part of it is due to the fact that it's opening on way fewer screens than Jim Carrey's Yes Man. SP is playing on 2758 plus screens while Yes Man is opening on over 3500 screens. That coupled with the fact that no one knew about the plot of SP & its dark nature is probably not the best way to market a movie. Weather may also be a factor. In the U.S. the midwest & northeast were battered by a bad winter storm(I have 4 inches of ice outside my home).

That being said, I think it's kind of hard to call it a flop since it didn't get a wide U.S. release(wide release means over 3200 screens).

It's a flop based on wills standards topdawg.. It's also gonna face tough competition next week with five really big movies coming out.. So I doubt it will make 100 million..ending wills 8 movie streak

I didn't mean to sound like a hater but maybe a flop would be beneficial to Will. I don't know, all these movies..no music. I think music "is just the chick on the side." I also really believe Will jinxed himself in "Don't Say Nothin" when he says "Grammy winner...soon to be oscar nominee..."

Yo I don't care about box office ratings or critics personally, a good movie is a good movie to me. I haven't actually had a chance to see this (though I'm pretty sure I'll like it), Will should be proud of the work hes done even though he hasn't reached his ultimate goal yet.

Yeah i think altho it sucks now, it will mean a change in what hes doing. Music would be the main hope but even if theres no chance of that, he may do better movies. Its like he said himself "pain is the mother of change"

It will be a reality check for Will for sure and like Julie says hopefully he'll start tp make better films. He really needs to capitalize on his status as 'the most powerful man in Hollywood' and work with better directors, cast etc

Coming in at number 2 is not a flop. Yeh by Will's standards its a drop but he's smart enough to have studied what was coming out and the marketing campaign for this film wasn't gonna sell it to a mass audience. The dude wanted a dark well acted film on his CV. Just a shame that didn't quite come together by the looks of reviews.

I'll go see it when it drops here in the new year and judge for myself.

Of course the movie was a flop..the actuals are in and it only made 14.9 million that's the lowest attended movie of wills in years..studio expectations were for close to 30 million and Sony was expecting another pursuit with 160 million or so.. I am legend made close to 250 million in the us.. This will be lucky to get to 50
