  2. Yeah, I know about "Man Don't Care"... that was my favorite track from the latest JME album, great song! I got one album from Chip back when he called himself Chipmunk (Transition) - that one was very pop influenced with hooks from Keri Hilson, Chris Brown, Trey Songz etc. but it was okay! For some time he was signed to T.I.'s label Grand Hustle I guess... but he didn't drop an album, just one or two mixtapes. Haven't heard anything from him in a while. I heard a few tracks by Stormzy before, he's great - very powerful. I like that "Standard" track a lot! "Scary" is another dope tune from him. I hope he'll be dropping an album soon... one of the best UK artists right now in my opinion!
  3. I see you fam... although both albums doesn't have that real Grime "sound", would you agree? But they're both great albums... Skepta is darker, has more bangers, more gangsta type of sound but also got some american influences! I didn't even know that Kano dropped a new album, I just saw that when I wanted to buy "Konnichiwa" and took that one too. Now it's my favorite album right now. It has a few bangers but also some positive vibes and some stories... it's more versatile but everything matches. Would even say his best album by now. You are from the UK right? Do you have any recommendations on some good UK Rap or Grime albums? I got a few at home but surely missed out on some gems.
  4. 1. Kano - Made In The Manor (UK) 2. Skepta - Konnichiwa (UK) 3. Kanye West - The Life Of Pablo (US) http://hypetrak.com/2016/02/kanye-west-the-life-of-pablo-official-release/ 4. Chance The Rapper - Coloring Book (US) 5. Flatbush Zombies - 3001: A Laced Oddyssey (US)
  5. Some of my favorite albums of the year (no order)... I would mention Freddie Gibbs - Shadow Of A Doubt and Curren$y - Canal Street Confidential too... already listened to both and ordered them but they're still on the way! Oh, and I forgot to put Yelawolf - Love Story on my picture... that one would be in my Top 3, great album and I'm not even a real "fan" of him! I see a good chance for Pusha T - Darkest Before Dawn to be mentioned here too but it hasn't dropped yet, will be out on Dec. 18! The first single Untouchable was dope, produced by Timbaland but doesn't sound like him at all (which is good)... In my opinion there wasn't too many real good albums this year. I heard a lot of stuff and the bigger part of it wasn't really kickin'... That Meth Lab LP for example was bad... 2 or 3 good tracks, the rest was lower mixtape level - and I'm a Meth-Fan! Hope that Crystal Meth will be better if it gets ever released. That DMX album wasn't even official and Snoop was annoying to me. Game was average - had some real good tracks but almost 40 songs just were too much, he sould've made one album (instead of two) with 12-15 tracks. Mudface was a nice appetizer for Muddy Waters 2 which is hopefully dropping in 2016 - I'll expect a bit more then but Doc's the man! Haven't heard Dayne Jordan (could be interesting), Public Enemy, KRS-One & Erick Sermon (lack of interest). I had high expectations on Logic's new album though but that was kinda boring to me... Jadakiss - Top 5 Dead Or Alive was a joke if you compare the music to the title. Styles P had some of the most ridiculous and wackest beats of the year on his album. And there were so much more disappointments... nah, that's too hard, let's just say there wasn't too many positive surprises - just a lot of albums that you'd listen to once and never again because they are straight average and have nothing special...
  6. Underachievers just dropped a new album... haven't listened to it (all the way) but from what I heard it must be dope: https://soundcloud.com/theunderachievers-3/ua-take-your-place https://soundcloud.com/theunderachievers-3/f03-chasing-faith
  7. Yeah you right, but what's difficult with The Game is that he often imitates the flows of his guest rappers... on the one hand it shows that he is kinda versatile, on the other hand you always think that there is a lack of his own style and personality in his music! What I like about the original "Documentary" is the straight production... like it starts with "Westside Story", such a banger! And you got other big tunes like "Dreams" or "Start From Scratch"... not to mention the "Hit" records! I Think that stuff was on a whole 'nother level and the new album can't keep up with that! But that's just my opinion and I'm far from saying that the new one is garbage... it just doesn't create the same feeling to me.
  8. Great news... I'm very excited what the sound will be like! I hope it won't be too experimental and adapted to the commercial sound nowadays like Trap or the stuff people like Future are doing for example - I think that wouldn't match! Still hoping like everyone else that he'll do something with Jeff... after all these years they should be able to take the time to make some music together!
  9. New K.R.I.T. Mixtape for download on datpiff, has some good stuff on it: http://www.datpiff.com/Big-KRIT-Its-Better-This-Way-mixtape.740537.html 01. Intro 02. King Pt 4 03. 86 04. Got Me Thru Feat. Delore Big Sant & Scar 11. Can’t Be Still Feat. BJ The Chicago Kid 12. Keep It Boomin 13. Party Tonight 14. It’s Better This Way
  10. I wouldn't say it's better than the first one, not even close... but it's alright! The sound is a bit experimental, reminds me of the new Dr. Dre record "Compton"... I think he should've picked the best songs out of the two CDs, so it could've been one really good album with 12-15 tracks! So there are just too many songs and you got some fillers automatically. Don't know yet if I should buy 'em... a REAL double album would be better. 01. Intro – Documentary 2 02. On Me (feat. Kendrick Lamar) 03. Step Up (feat. Dej Loaf & Sha Sha) 04. Don’t Trip (feat. Ice Cube, Dr. Dre & will.i.am) 05. Standing On Ferraris (feat. Diddy) 06. Dollar and a Dream (feat. AB Soul) 07. Made In America (feat. Marcus Black) 08. Hashtag (feat. Jelly Roll) 09. Circles (feat. Q-Tip, Eric Bellinger & Sha Sha) 10. Uncle (Skit) 11. Dedicated (feat. Future & Sonyae) 12. Bitch You Ain’t S**t 13. Summertime (feat. Jelly Roll) 14. Mula (feat. Kanye West) 15. The Documentary 2 16. New York, New York 17. 100 (feat. Drake) 18. Just Another Day 19. LA (feat. Snoop Dogg, will.i.am & Fergie) 01. New York (Skit) 02. Magnus Carlsen (feat. Anderson .Paak) 03. Moment Of Violence (feat. King Mez, JT & Jon Connor) 16. Like Father Like Son 2 (feat. Busta Rhymes) 17. Life
  11. A little confusing situation with the album release... it's now available on iTunes! Features edited in 1st post! If you guys haven't heard "Section.80" or "good kid, m.A.A.d. city" yet I would recommend you to catch up on 'em.
  12. I went to the cinema yesterday to watch the movie with my girlfriend... I would rate it around 3/5. I definetely enjoyed it but sometimes I had the feeling that it's a bit too constructed (don't know if that's the right word)... the whole twists at the end - I think that was a bit too much! In movies with smart twists you sit there and think "Whoa, I haven't seen that coming" but here (at some point) it was a bit ridiculous in my opinion! Will did a good job nonetheless - had his funny moments as usual... and the (betting) scene at the football stadium was great! All in all one of his better movies in the past few years!
  13. Another leaked track called "King Kunta" http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/singles/id.30115/title.kendrick-lamar-king-kunta
  14. Another video to a great song called "Like Me" - produced by J Dilla & The Roots Anyone picked up the album or heard it somewhere? One of the best releases of the year so far in my opinion!
  15. Album will be out March 23... can't wait to hear it! 01 Wesley's Theory (ft. George Clinton & Thundercat) 02 For Free? (Interlude) 03 King Kunta 04 Institutionalized (ft. Bilal, Anna Wise & Snoop Dogg) 05 These Walls (ft. Bilal, Anna Wise & Thundercat) 06 u 07 Alright 08 For Sale? (Interlude) 09 Momma 10 Hood Politics 11 How Much A Dollar Cost (ft. James Fauntleroy & Ronald Isley) 12 Complexion (A Zulu Love) (ft. Rapsody) 13 The Blacker The Berry 14 You Ain't Gotta Lie (Momma Said) 15 i 16 Mortal Man

  18. Some nice albums there... especially "Pinata" and "Run The Jewels 2" - didn't mention them here! Ghostface also released a very good conceptual album, J. Cole is nice too altough I would say that "Born Sinner" was better but I heard it just one time by now so it's hard to judge about it! I didn't like the PRhyme album that much... I think Premo and Royce is a good combo so I expected some more of it! Jeezy was a little disappointing, I liked the title track with Jay-Z a lot but there are too much filler tracks on the album! Nicki Minaj is just not my cup of tea...
  19. You can listen to the song here: http://www.hiphopearly.com/Kanye-West-ft-Paul-McCartney-Only-One-t26684.html Actually I didn't like his last album "Yeezus", the production was kinda weird but "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" (album came out in 2010) was hella good and I think he could come back with some nice stuff if he doesn't experiment too much... that song here sounds a little bit like what he did on "808s & Heartbreak"... singing with some autotune! Paul McCartney just plays the keyboard, you don't hear him on the track!
  20. This is the main point in my opinion! I think there is enough music out there that is better than the stuff that LL recently dropped. Of course he is a legend but if he puts out garbage you have to consider it as garbage whether he is LL or Eminem or whoever! No one can take the classic albums he made out of his catalogue but cats like J. Cole are dropping quality NOW! So why should I listen to some bull**** solely because a ''legend'' created it?!
  21. Sure they are legends - they were also ''heroes'' of my youth and I got plenty of their albums at home but I don't think their musical visions nowadays match enough to create another solid album as a group. The production is just not right for me... seems like RZA always wants too much, wants to show everyone that he can create ''real'' music instead of just making some raw hip hop beats! The rapping also sounds not very motivated sometimes, some hooks are just ridiculous and all in all you get the feeling that there is not very much on this album that fits together! For the first group album under the powerful ''W'' since 2007 it's just disappointing. I wasn't really happy too with ''8 Diagrams'' back then (also was Raekwon for example) but in comparison to the new one it had much better tracks on it!
  22. He can't be serious about droppin' that wack **** all the time... Seems like he wants to achieve commercial success (again) at all cost! Unfortunately we all know he could do better... I expect a big disappointment when this album comes out!
  23. Can't wait... the new trailer looks really good!
