i wouldn't be surprised by the audience reaction though... if you've noticed, the 106 and park crowd is always unenthusiastic until the end-for almost every artist.

here's the main problem with most reviews (esp critics). they always have to bring up image. They focus on image more than the art. That's why they always include some bs about Will being "a friendgly, nice rapper." If they listened to the lyrics instead of focusing on the image, they would know Will is directing some songs at ppl who call him nice, kid-friendly, and soft.

For the US, 50cent dropped 50% from the previous week, so if it suffers a big drop again, Will might take the top slot. I definitely think his album will do better than another actor/musician, Jennifer Lopez though. Her album's been doin real pooryl. Haha, ppl don't like her anymore

what the hell was that review? It sounds like the guy didn't give it a thorough listen at all. I thought it was a great album (except "if u can't dance"-could have left that one off) and i'm hard to convince when it comes to Will rapping. Rap heads are even respecting it, with the exception of a few haters. Is that a British magazine? If so, what do the Brits know anyways? Just playin ya'll
-also if Will did all party tracks like the "lacking menace and wild fun" line suggested they would be on his ass too anyways. Now since Will takes a more serious route, they attack him too? It's like, make up your minds, idiot critics...

Does the order in which writing credits are listed on an album relevant? I'll take Jay-z for an example. Just say it was listed as (k.west, t. jones, s.carter...) and it was Jay z's song. Does that mean Kanye did more of the writing for the song than Jay? B/c some idiot was sayin that his friend works at a music store and saw Will's name listed like 3rd instead of first, and that Will probably didn't write most of his lyrics. If ya'll have examples of rappers not listed as first on writing credits for the OWN song, can ya'll let me know. I wanna prove that bastard wrong. Thanks...

Well Beanie Siegal's in jail, so he might get more sales since controversey sells records, he's also from Philly too, and there's quite a buzz for his album too, so it's gonna be a battle of Philly mcs next week, but of course the king of Philly, Will Smith is gonna come out on top! :ali:
nah I doubt Beanie will do big. No radio play, not being able to promote, and no one is talkin about him. He hasn't gone big before, I doubt he will now.

Well maybe "samples" is the wrong word. What I should really say is that there are a lot of people singing and talking in the foreground, and background. And believe it or not, there is someone who has to get credited for all that. The person who has the idea, the person or people who actually sing and talk perhaps. The primary example of this would be "Wave 'em Off," 6 people were credited. And also, it's quite possible that more than one person worked on a few of the beats. Pump ya brakes has 6 names credited as well. Lol, I don't think we can even begin to guess what these people did. I don't think Snoop and Will had 3 or 4 dudes writting their rhymes for them.

i think it's just a song reference. I think he meant to do that intentionally, but not in a sneaky way. You should see Jay-z's catalogue of bittin lyrics. I'll post some up later.

is there buzz about Lost and Found where u live? Or anywhere u know of? I just wanna make sure Will's album does well to unseat 50 from the number 1 spot. It's important here in America as well cuz everyone's stuck on that 50cent ****. Well 50 dropped 50% this week, so maybe he'll drop big again next week. Not much competition on the week Will comes out, so we'll see i guess.

i don't think "tell me why" should be his next single. It should really be "Lost and Found" or "Party Starter". "Tell Me why" might be a bit too serious for radio to get a lot of play. It's almost summer. Will should put "tell me why" as his 3rd single for the fall or somethin

Will Smith performs for an audience of kids from Overbrook high school (Will's old school in Philly) who will have been in the studio from TRL preceding this special. We'll review Will's time on MTV and roll down old clips and get Will's take on them. Smith will also answer audience questions.
