Okay, over the weekend, i skooled myself a lil' on this whole MP3 thing. Of course, the 1st CD i've attempted 2 make waz a JJ+FP one. I ripped audio from all the JJ+FP studio albums and set up a 6th full of b-sides and the best remixes. After completeing the CD, it bugged me that it put the albums in ABC order so i retitled the albums with numbers in the beginning (example: 1. ROCK THE HOUSE) which solved that problem when i re-made the CD. HOWEVER, i have one problem that's bugging me. When i make the CDs, it put the trax in random order...not in ABC order, not in the order they are in on the albums....just all mixed up. I havn't played the CDs in my car stereo yet cuz i havn't had time 2 hook it up, but i have played them back on my computer. I even went 2 the extent of re-titling ever song in each album's folder by putting numbers in front of them which didn't help. Can ANYBODY help me out on how 2 get the trax in the correct order? I'm using Audiograbber if that helps anyone help me out. If anyone can, i'll greatly appriciate it.

Check the singles!! p.s. Why do all these JJ+FP related posts keep showing up on this off-topic board? 1st the "best love song by Will" post, then this?!?

Big Willie Style vs. Willenium
JumpinJack AJ replied to DevilsJim89's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
BIG WILLIE STYLE - Commercial beats. They are good, but they are a little lackin' compared 2 the thick beats on Willennium. The beats are good, but not many of them have soul. Will's rhymes are good, but not 2 man that really stand out. It waz definitly the kind of album 2 rule the end of the 90's...but i don't think the entire album is timeless and long-standing. When u listen 2 it now, some of the trax make u say "that is late 90's Hip-Hop right there." WILLENNIUM - This album has all kindsa flavas...kinda like Code Red. It's got a track 4 nearly every kind of Hip-Hop fan. After the success of Big Willie Style, Will is alot more relaxed on this album. He just dose what he wants and dose Will. And he's aggresive on this album, he's not aggressive on Big Willie Style at all. WILLENNIUM is easily the better album. -
Sorry guys, but any list that dosen't have Rakim listed within the top 3 isn't a list at all. That's not opinion...that's fact, sorry y'all. :dunno:

I can't totally visualize this. I have no problems, infact, i like the kinda artists she's molding in2. Jada's very intellegent, she's not gonna do something that'll result in "career-death"...ha ha.

Nobody get offended (if this offends u), just enjoy it 4 it's comedy. --------- Leave it to Robin Williams to come up with the perfect plan. What we need now is for our UN Ambassador to stand up and repeat this message. Robin William's plan...(Hard to argue with this logic!) I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for peace. So, here's one plan. 1.) The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in their affairs, past & present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Tojo, Noriega, Milosevic and the rest of those 'good ole boys,' We will never "interfere" again. 2.) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea and the Philippines. They don't want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No one sneaking through holes in the fence. 3.) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave. We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of who or where they are. France would welcome them. 4.) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days unless given a special permit. No one from a terrorist nation would be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself and don't hide here. Asylum would never be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers or 7-11 cashiers. 5.) No foreign "students" over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a "D" and it's back home baby. 6.) The US will make a strong effort to become self-sufficient energy wise. This will include developing nonpolluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while. 7.) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go some place else. They can go somewhere else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling up the storage sites would be enough.) 8.) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not "interfere." They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides most of what we give them is stolen or given to the army. The people who need it most get very little, if anything. 9.) Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island some place. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, the building would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens. 10.) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us "Ugly Americans" any longer. The Language we speak is ENGLISH.....learn it...or LEAVE...Now, isn't that a winner of a plan. "The Statue of Liberty is no longer saying 'Give me your poor, your tired, your huddled masses.' She's got a baseball bat and she's yelling, 'You want a piece of me?'"

Ha!! I just read the post mentioning the "wooo"'s and "uh uh"'s as i waz listening 4 the Big Willie Style Megamix (1st time in nearly a year) and as i read the word "woo" in the post, he said it on the track...ha ha...freaked me out 4 a second.

Happy Easter!! He has risen indeed!!

I guess that's not 2 bad...but this is MTV we are talking about...do u honestly tlhink they are gonna chose the best artists?!? No way, they'll just go with the most currently succesfull ones. Everybody has different tases, and who actually makes the rules as 2 what makes "the best emcee"?!? I have no problem with with the exact order of how they rank the emcees, but i do have a problem with who they put in certain parts of it. How can u put the Jay-Z, Ja-Rule, Ludacris, Eminem, Chingy type artists any where past the 30ish area, when u have people like Fresh Prince, L.L. Cool J, Guru, Ahmad, Q-Tip + Phife, Mos Def, Common Sense, Heavy D, etc lower or not included on these kinda lists. These days it seems like nearly EVERY SINGLE RAPPER who i the wackest gets all the sales while the truley talented artists with heart get ignored 2 the point that only their fanbase know when they are releasing music. Black Eyed Peas are the only exception.

Yeah, on Willennium, Will went thru' a phase where just did that "Ha ha, ha ha" laff on alot of the trax. I just think it waz Will having fun while recording the track....it's alot better than adlibbing something like "Overbrook...we won't stop...cuz we can't stop"...ha ha. He dose do that laff a lil' bit on Born To Reign and on Big Willie Style 2...it's just in your face on Willennium.
-
Both are great songs (tho' i defintly would consider other trax better than these...just a few). I think "I Wanna Rock" is just a lil' better tho.' Simply b-cuz JJ+FP did the track just as a classic JJ+FP track...it's what they do. With "Pump Me Up", they kinda did what they do...but b-cuz they already did it. "I Wanna Rock" waz what JJ+FP did during Code Red, "Pump Me Up" waz JJ+FP doing what they used 2 do (and still do) but for Willennium. "Potnas" captures where JJ+FP is during Willennium cuz the track waz put 2gether by just the 2 of them, it's current, it's modern, it's JJ+FP 1999. I don't know if that makes sense 2 anyone, but that's my reasoning 4 saying "I Wanna Rock" is a bit better than "Pump Me Up."
I think that the thing with rappers in the acting business has gotten too much out of hand, as a result there's more hype put into movies than there is from music. Like Will, Queen Latifah gets put down 'cause her music is more positive than what the other female M.C.'s like Lil' Kim and Trina are potraying wit their sexuality! Now Missy Elliot's starting to act in movies like "Honey" and that's a joke! :cussing: I think that Queen Latifah has to focus more on her rappin' and work wit Naughty By Nature again, to keep holdin' it down for Dirty Jers',Holla
I kinda agree but i also don't. People FP and Latifah are legends...they can't just stay in one place and play themselves out. After all, each of their latest albums had less-than-impressives sales. The movie they make aren't low-budget hood flicks that most emcees get stuck doing. They have creative AND business minds. When albums like Born To Reign and Order In The Court don't make alot of noise, they need 2 take a break and regroup musically. What better way 2 keep their name out there and make money other than doing movies and producing stuff. And i'm totally going 2 Missy's defense. I think Honey waz a dope movie and i think her cameos were hilarious. Oh yeah...and Queen Latifah has still got it, u need 2 hear the 2 new trax on her greatest hits album....both of them are dope.
-
They were already planning 2 make this movie....so i'm doubting it's REALLY supposed 2 be a spin-off of Bad Boys. I dont' know how i feel about it if it is.
-
I don't know what song u are talking about by title...but Biz Markie often spells his own name out in his songs like "The B, I, Z, M, A R-izza, K"
-
I agree...but how is this "exclusive"?? ha ha
-
I just got it in the mail 2day...i'm listening 2 it right now. I'm so happy 2 have it on CD and not just on vinyl. Of course i waz happy b4 cuz i didn't know it waz on CD...ha ha. I like the way they have these 50's/60's doo-wop vocals...but this production just sounds a bit 2 dated for 1989. I guess that what happens when u mix Paul Shaffer and Russle Simmons. Still a dope song. I like alot of 60's music so it's cool 2 have FP flowing over a track that has this extra old-skool feel.

This waz posted over at the WS board last week. However, that article said that it waz rumored that other celebrities were ushered in thru' the back...which made it look shady that they were charging Will. The other article didn't mention FP bringing a group of people with him...tho' he rarely makes appearances alone. I suggested on the other board that Prince waz jealous only cuz he's Prince...but Will is the Fresh Prince.

I have an XXL interview from them individually talking about the good times. It came out in like 2000 i think. Kid said that he still works on music and may try 2 put something out. He waz working with Def Jef. Overall, Play hit rock bottom in his life after House Party 3. He waz re-born and devoted his life 2 God. He did some producing 4 Gospel-Hip-Hop music (my brother has one of the albums). Kid of course did some small acting bits including his most well-known stuff on Sister Sister. He waz hosting alot of family-styled TVs shows 4 awhile. During the late 90's (i think) he got in a serious car accident (i think with Grand Puba) but he obviously recovered. Back 2 that article tho'...i do remember at point, somebody who knew both of them tricked them and invited them over 2 dinner on the same nite and they hung out for hours talking and stuff. I think that Kid said at the end of the article that there waz no plans for Kid 'N Play 2 get back 2gether...but never say never. I'd love 2 see them get 2gether again 2. I have all their albums and they very much have a similar musical chemistry and forumula 2 JJ+FP.

I can't help u, but i can agree that the song is dope. It's on the "House Party 3" soundtrack (and waz also a single 4 the album). I almost got the 12" single a few months ago but i'm so tight on money that i passed it up. The Kid 'N Play trax on that HP3 soundtrack were so dope, i can't believe they went their seperate ways...man, i miss them.

Doing something u enjoy doing or something u are interested in (or something releated 2 what u'd like 2 do 4 the rest of your life) is always a good thing. Either way, just getting the experience of having a job, working with other people, and working with customers is the kinda thing u can take on 2 any other job u go 2. The grocery store waz your average job 4 me. No real future in it, but it's money and i guess it waz a good place 2 start. At a movie theater, u'd get 2 see movies 4 free...which is always nice...ha ha.
-
Yeah, in a place like that, u gotta keep in mind that it's stressful for people 2 take their pets 2 a place where the might HAVE to make them uncomfortable...and owners are usually very protective of them. At the photography studio i work at, people are of course going 2 be extra protective of their families, pets, children, etc...so if u don't make them happy with your photography...some people get really mad. Being mad or aggresive would only make the situation worse...after all, they DO have a reason 2 be the way they are (sometimes). There are also people out there who simply like 2 fight. And it ruins their day 2 not give them the fight they want. However, there has been 2 or 3 times when i've gone up2 the front of the store 2 back-up a co-worker having problems with a customer. They kinda people who are out 2 cause problems...the second they take it 2 far, i'm ready 2 take it 2 the hood and tear them up...ha ha.
-
Yeah, it's important 2 keep in mind, that even when we aren't happy with our jobs...2 remember that we are lucky 2 have them. Customers can also get annoying (no matter where u work) but i think that the best thing 2 do is get back at them by being nice and calm. A customer has 2 go pretty far 2 actually have me get offensive towards them...and if possible, i usually just walk away from them and get someone else 2 take care of them rather than risking causing a scene and losing my job.

Will Produces "Mr. President"
JumpinJack AJ replied to WildWildWillennium's topic in Will Smith Movies
Thanx 4 the newz!! He's doing Jelly Beans also!! That's kinda cool, that's a movie produced by T-Boz (TLC) and Dallas Austin which is about the skating rink they grew up at where the music and dancing kept them outta the streets. Bow Wow doesn't bug me anymore like he used 2. Since he's grown up (and dropped that ill song "My Baby"), he's been cool with me. After all, he's one of the only people that's putting out Hip-Hop that's not loaded with explict lyrics. -
I waz wondering what kinda jobs u all have/had. In an attempt 2 get 2 know each other better, i waz interested in seeing what kinda things we've all done. So, 4 those who wanna participate, let us know where u work(ed) and what u do/did. My 1st job waz with the grocery store, Food Lion. I waz a bagger. However, as the years went on, i did basically everything but ran register. I cleaned, stocked, all kinds of stuff. I actually got the job only cuz my mom's friend waz the manager there. The 1st 2 years were actually really fun. I had a great group of co-workers and we just had alot of fun...business waz also kinda slow usually. I stayed there another 3 years cuz i waz expecting profits (adding up 2 thousands of dollars) but i realized in my last months that i didn't have enuff hours during some of those years 2 get it. Since things got worse and worse (and i obviously didn't wanna work at a grocery store all my life), i got outta there. Currently, i'm working at The Picture People. It's a photography studio aimed mostly at kids...but we do EVERYTHING. There, i'm training 2 be a manager...i do some of the best photography in the store and do all the lab stuff as well. I love this job (as much as u can love a job). Holidays and big coupon events are horrible when we are busy...but otherwise it's fun. The website for the company is www.picturepeople.com. My other job, which i hardly call a job is at a dinner theater. We have shows every Friday and Saturday nite as well as Sunday matinees EVERY WEEKEND. Most shows run about 2 months with a total of 6 shows each season. We rehearse for about a month 4 each show (while the other is running). We also help prepare the food and wait tables, THEN we do the show. The audience gets 2 hit-up a salad bar and hot buffet, then we bring desert out 2 them (which often has half the cast stuffing their face b4 the show....ha ha. We get paid a lil' bit 2 do the show, but the real money is waiting tables during the dinner hour (it pays off 4 those long rehearsals). It hardly feels like work 2 since u are doing something u love. Well, those are the main jobs i have/had. What do y'all do?!?
