  1. That's what i waz gonna say. My computer screen needed 2 be 4 times bigger to handle those signatures. Holla.
  2. I got this from AOL News...for those that didn't know... ---------------------------- KRS-One's Son Commits Suicide Posted Jul 10th 2007 12:35PM by Melissa Olund Filed under: News Randy Parker Hubbard, stepson of rap luminary KRS-One, was found dead in his Atlanta home this weekend. The Fulton County medical examiner declared the cause of death a suicide. Hubbard, a graphic designer, was suffering from "severe depression" according to a statement released by his mother, and KRS-One's longtime partner, Simone Parker. The family expressed their thanks to concerned fans, saying, "Kris and Simone Parker send their sincere appreciation to everyone who has already responded to the tragic news." ------------------------------ I think it's important 2 keep his family in our prayers. Rest In Peace.
  3. I can't believe i missed this post. I recently came across this myself and ordered it. I actually e-mailed Tim asking about it since the doctored Code Red pic and logo make it look real shady. Either way, i'm assuming i'll have it in a few days and i'll give a more indepth review of it. 4. CORINNE BAILEY RAE - Till It Happens To You (self-titled) (2006) I still love this album.
  5. METHOD MAN + LEFT EYE - Cradle Rock Tical 2000: Judgement Day (1998)
  6. I can't say i thought "Can't Tell Me Nothin'" waz good at all. The production sucks. It's not imaginative, thick, layered, or even very musical. The only thing i liked about it waz the vocal sample. Kanye's lyrics in that song are empty nothing...but the real crime is his flow. It's just awful. Everything about that song reminds me of something Puffy would do. Kanye's best song was "All Falls Down"...and since then, that's what the quality of his music has done.
  7. I really liked him in Four Brothers and Baby Boy. I wanted 2 see Waist Deep but haven't yet. I'm more a fan of the music tho.' His most recent one may be a bit less focused than the other, but i think he's one of the top talents of R-N-B between the late 90's thru' now.
  8. :shakehead: What are u talking about?!? I've been a fan of Tyrese since he first came out. Him giving FP props isn't gonna make me like him or suggest they do a song 2gether. If u could check the old Sony boards u'd see me putting Tyrese on a list of people i'd want him doing songs with YEARS ago. Stupid statement. :stupid:
  9. USHER - Pop Ya Collar Pop Ya Collar Promo (2000) Man, i really wish the other trax that were intended 4 this album came out. 8701 waz so good. I'd love 2 hear the stuff done right before it waz reworked in2 that album.
  10. I hate the title of the album. It's 2 tightly associated with JJ+FP. I feel he's tainting it by naming the album that. I'm just not cool with that. And like Tim, if Jazzy waz gonna collaborate with an emcee for a full album that wasn't the 'Prince, i'd list like 200 before Rhymefest. I'm not dissing Rhymefest. I think he is a stand out talent, not that other artists are making that hard. I got his album and thought it waz good but i honestly haven't listened 2 it since the 1st month i got it. I don't know, i just thought it waz average. Compared 2 what i saw on Nick Cannon's Wildin' Out, i just expected more of a personality from him. I'll give it another listen 2nite tho.' If i had a choice of emcees 2 work with for a full album, names like Pauly Yamz, CL Smooth, J-Live, Oddisee, Baby Blak, PMD, Rakim, LL Cool J, Chubb Rock, Black Eyed Peas, MC Lyte, Common Sense, Guru, etc would all come way before him. I respect he's droppin' more stuff and i'll be sure 2 peep it. I'll most likely support it 2 since it sounds like he's been growing since the 1st album. The TV show sounds schetchy tho.'
  11. I haven't listened 2 that in AGES!! C-L-A-S-S-I-C-!
  12. Yeah, a reunion tour is also a safe way 2 test out what a future project would be like...a full tour, and album, etc. Take That got a lil' love from pop fans in the US during the 90's. If they can get that kind a success, i imagin the Spice Girls blowing all of that way. And yeah, i'd love 2 hear them on Top 40 radio again. With groups like Panic At The Disco and Fall Out Boy on the radio, i can't even rely on the hits of other genres to make me wanna give Top 40 a try.
  13. Well, that's what most reunions are about. Just getting 2gether for a short bit...not 2 stay 2gether and busy. They all have individual things going on and i don't think they wanna get trapped in the same situation they were back in the mid/late 90's. When reunions happen, it's usually for 2 reasons...either the group does like working 2gether and wants 2 get 2gether 4 a bit and/or give back 2 the loyal fans....OR they are just broke and desperate for money. Their reason seems 2 be more of the 1st one. Reading all the stuff they were saying was hilarious and reminded me of how they handled interviews and press conferences back in the day. The picture of them all 2gether had them all smiles and close 2 each other. Very good acting if they are just in it for the money.
  14. I'm not familiar with Freestyle Fellowship. With that being said, i've always thought Bone waz pretty creative. And when i say that, i'm speaking about more than just their vocal style. I need 2 school myself on FF tho.' When Bone 1st came out with the trippy vocal style, i just tied it 2 Das EFX's style. Their styles are different, but Das EFX really broke out the box with a crazy style. I don't know which group i like more.
  15. I can't really say i care much for his stuff but when i'm music shopping 2morrow i'll give it a listen.
  16. This is for the other 2 or 3 people on this board that care... From AOL News... ----- Exclusive: Spice Girls Reunion Tour Announcement Posted Jun 28th 2007 8:30AM by Julia May-Brown Filed under: Pop, News There was a palpable air of excitement in London this afternoon as several camera crews stationed themselves both outside and inside London's O2 Arena -- formerly the Millennium Dome -- to capture the moment pop has been anticipating: the Spice Girls' reunion announcement. Crowds quickly gathered to catch a glimpse of the Girls -- Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), Melanie Brown (Scary Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice) and Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) -- officially re-formed for the first time in nearly ten years. Conference host Richard E. Grant -- who played the group's manager in their cult flick 'Spice World' -- took the stage, introducing himself as "Old Spice." The Girls followed soon after, prompting a frenzy among photographers. One suffered a slight injury, catching the group's eye. "Don't worry," Geri said. "We're sending Melanie in to give you mouth-to-mouth," perhaps offering Grant his choice of Melanies. Her cheeky remark was merely a taste of the humor and subsequent laughter that would permeate the event. Straight out the gate, one question dominated the event: Why reunite now? "Why now?" Mel B responded. "Why not?" "It's now or never," added Geri. "We wanted to say a proper goodbye to our fans all over the world," said Mel C. The five ladies will do just that with an 11-date, six-continent world tour, beginning December 7 in Los Angeles, and will include stops in New York, Las Vegas, Beijing, Sydney, Madrid, London and Buenos Aires, among other cities. "That's a lot of world, a lot of people and a lot of fun," Geri said. They plan to sing songs from each of their albums, including the third, 2000's 'Forever,' on which Geri doesn't appear (she left the group in 1998). But she said that won't stop her; Mel B plans to let Geri sing some of her lines. The Girls do, however, have a few songs they're most looking forward to performing. Among them, 'Wannabe' (Mel B's pick), 'Too Much' (Victoria's) -- but Mel C couldn't decide on one. "We've got so many great songs," she said. When asked what the shows would be like, the whip-smart Geri deadpanned, "There will be five girls, music, lights and topless dancers." "Are you going to be doing that?" Mel B shot back. "We want it to be spectacular," Mel C said. Equally known for their outrageous fashion as their infectious tunes, the Girls will not be taming their attire for the jaunt. "We want to give a hats off to our characters," Mel C said. "Leopard print is back in anyway," Mel B joked. A journalist from the U.K. questioned whether or not the five ladies -- three of the five are moms, and Emma is currently expecting her first child -- were fit to tour. Mel B responded by exiting the stage and descending into the press pit, where she then asked the journalist to take off his shirt and prove how fit he was. The room erupted in laughter as the question died a quick death. The women said that they plan to construct makeshift portable daycare for their tour as each of their children join them on the road. "We want our kids to see what we do for a living," Victoria said. As far as the future is concerned, the Girls are still discussing the possibility of recording new material, but the group is slated to take part in a "revealing" documentary. "You're going to see the dark side of the Spice Girls," Geri said. But for now, the ladies are happy as is. "We've experienced something so unique together," Mel C said. "It's really been the six of us who make this work," Victoria expounded, referring to her mates and their manager, Simon Fuller. "You need a man with balls of steel to get us back together." "We're like family," Geri added. "Anyone can overcome anything if we can get back together." To catch the Girls on tour, sign up at www.thespicegirls.com and register for the opportunity to purchase tickets at the city and show you wish to attend. Lucky fans who are randomly selected will be able to buy as many as six tickets, and will be notified no later than Oct. 1. Spice Girls tour dates: 12/7:Los Angeles 12/8:Las Vegas 12/11: New York 12/15: London 12/20: Cologne 12/23: Madrid 1/10: Beijing 1/12: Hong Kong 1/17: Sydney 1/20: Cape Town 1/24: Buenos Aires
  17. KELLY ROWLAND - Still In Love With My Ex Ms. Kelly (2007) Soulpower in the house!!
  18. Ha ha...u know it's wack when people are searching on where 2 get sunglasses from the video. Good luck on your search.
  19. Thanx!! I planned on seeing it sometime...but now that i know the I Am Legend trailor is in front of it, i'll see it this week!!
  20. I was listening 2 The Steve Harvey Morning Show on the radio on my way 2 work the other day and he waz interviewing Tyrese. I caught the end of it where he said he had a life changing conversation about 2 weeks ago. He said it got to talk to FP for like 4 hours and he waz dropping constant knowledge. He said that he always had respect for the 'Prince because he identified with him as someone who came from nothing who got everything. He said he admired FP's drive to keep going and getting better since he could easily be satisfied with everything he's done and everything he has. Tyrese said he asked him about his drive and FP said that so many actors are busy worrying about getting top billing. FP said that when he did Independence Day, he had fouth billing, but that because he worked hard for himself, he felt like it was his movie. Everyone in Steve's studio was like "really, he had fourth billing?...he's the only person i remember in that movie"...ha ha. Tyrese reinforced that he was saying "forget about your billing and who's in front of you...shine where u are and do what u do for yourself. It waz kinda disappointing becuz u could tell in Tyrese' voice that he waz totally inspired and got so much out of his time kicking with FP but didn't even begin 2 touch on it. Just thougth i'd share. I'd love 2 see them do a song...and a movie 2gether.
  21. JASON FOX - Aunt Jackie (2007) I heard this song a few weeks ago and loved it. I just saw the video. If this song represents how this guy's album is gonna be, i'm hyped. Video reminds me of late 80's and 90's videos.
  22. I'll catch it when it airs. Shortly after his album album dropped i waz done with Kanye. "Can't Tell Me Nothing" waz trash.
