  1. Thanx for this. I'm only on the 2nd song I love it so far. Everyone should check this out.
  2. RUN-DMC - Ooh Whatcha Gonna Do Down With The King (1992) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRVqtn0PUFw This era of their career is so overlooked.
  3. KATY PERRY - Teenage Dream Teenage Dream (2010)
  4. 213 - Anotha Summer The Hard Way (2004) I left the CD in the car but I'll try to guess most of the trax on it. Not all of the songs are about summer (since it hasn't been the most popular topic in songs in recent years). Some of them are just big songs that came out in the Summertime. It's got both of DJ Jazzy Jeff's 2007 remixes of "Summertime," R. Kelly + Snoop Dogg "Happy Summertime," Lathun "BBQ," NKOTB "Summertime," Amerie "Why Don't We Fall In Love," Jennifer Lopez + Ja-Rule "I'm Real (Remix)," LL Cool J "Luv U Better," Usher "U Remind Me," Katy Perry + Snoop Dogg "California Girls," 213 "Anotha Summer," Naughty By Nature + 3LW "Feels Good," Beyonce + Puffy "Summertime," Nelly + Kelly Rowland "Dilemma," Fresh Prince + Tra-Knox. I can't remember the rest. I do know I wanted 2 include other songs like Jagged Edge "Where The Party At?," Tyrese "I Like Dem Girls," B2K "Why I Love You" and a few others.
  5. That snippet it ill! Definitely the perfect way 2 start a buzz amongst Hip-Hop fans.
  6. Jazzy just posted a status on Myspace asking if he should do The Magnificent 3. Everyone on this board needs 2 get on Myspace ASAP and reply to his status...AND suggest he get the Fresh Prince on it.
  7. LATHUN - BBQ Fortunate (2002) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9N8MqI-M1M I'd been following this artist since 1997 when he did a bass track on the 2nd So So Def Bass All-Stars album. Then in 2002 he finally dropped his neo-soul album. I miss this breezy era of R-N-B.
  8. A compliment is a compliment but like other rappers and R-N-B singers, his compliment wasn't music based. It was movie based. And those compliments mean less to me.
  9. That movie was pretty bad. I haven't watched it since the 1st time I watched (and I own it). I remember thinking that FP's scene was my favorite scene in the movie...regardless of of being a supporter of his.
  10. This could be the biggest comeback Hip-Hop has seen in awhile. Let's hope so. ------------------------------------------------------- DMX Released From Prison Jemal Countess, WireImage After serving less than half of his 90-day sentence, DMX has been released from a Los Angeles prison. The Yonkers native was freed Thursday (Aug. 12) afternoon after serving only 18 days behind bars for a probation violation, stemming from a 2002 reckless driving conviction. X turned himself in late July after his release from an Arizona prison where he had just served six months behind bars for violating parole with substance abuse. The troubled rapper has been in an out jail for the past few years and has been desperately trying to turn his life, and fledgling career, around. "I'mma turn myself in," X told TMZ before heading off to jail. "Me and my crew came to the conclusion that that would be best. I like LA. I like to come out here, I like to work, I like to dance so you know I wanted to get that over with because that's one of the first steps in you know in regaining everything I lost." Provided that he can stay out of trouble with the law, the former Ruff Ryder is said to be working on music for a new album. "My relationship with god is so much stronger," X said. "He's always had his hand on me. He always guided me. I didn't always go where he wanted me to go. But he always had me. Now that I'm actually listening and being obedient, life is so much better."
  11. NKOTB - Summertime The Block (2008) I've been listening 2 my Summertime 2000's mixtape as u can see. I wanted 2 hate this song when they came back out but couldn't help loving it...and more than half of the songs on the album.
  12. R. KELLY + SNOOP DOGG - Happy Summertime TP3.Com: Reloaded (2005)? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgZouUH72iE
  13. JUSTIN YOUNG - All Attached All Attached (2006)
  14. THE TONY RICH PROJECT - Nobody Knows Words (1995) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Tf21Uqvm6s One of the greatest R-N-B songs of the 90's. Tony Rich single handedly made it cool to have acoustic guitars in R-N-B...and helped get neo-soul rolling.
  15. COLBIE CAILLAT + JUSTIN YOUNG - Turn Your Lights Down Low CoCo (Deluxe Edition) (2008)
  16. JUSTIN YOUNG - Orange Blue Sky All Attached (2007) I was recently introduced to this guys soulful acoustic sound. He opened for Colbie Caillat tonight (awesome show). If anyone's into acoustic music, u may wanna check this guy out.
  17. I'm not hating . There's Rihanna 2005 and then there's Rihanna 2010. Her new stuff is going to sound dated in 2 years and the message and soul of her music is ultimately absent. I can listen to her 1st 3 albums all the way thru'...the newest I have to make a mixtape mixing the better songs with her old ones for a solid listen.
  18. COLBIE CAILLAT - I Never Told You Breakthrough (2009) I'm seeing her live tomorrow. I've loved her since 2007. So hyped!!
  19. I love the visuals of the video. I love the song of the video. I still think Rihanna is a huge hypocrite for doing a song with this subject matter.
  20. KATY PERRY - Teenage Dream Teenage Dream (2010)
  21. Over the years he has co-written some of his songs with other emcees. Kel Spencer, Common Sense, Nas, and Mad Skillz have all collaborated. People like Nas have said they didn't write song FOR him but that it would be a collaboration between the 2 of them. Or FP would write the song then give it to them and they'd flip certain things before laying vocals. Even back in the day, certain songs were written with Ready Rock C. We all know he can write classic songs. Why I'm not exactly for him writing songs with other people, but it doesn't bother me so much since most of these emcees have openly discussed the process with no hesitation only supporting the Fresh Prince...not discrediting him.
  22. I didn't know Fat Joe even had a new album out. I've never been a big fan tho' I've liked some of this stuff. Certainly not some of the stuff I've heard in recent years tho.' He seems like he's selling out to what's popular.
  23. That really surprises me. I really don't like country music...at all...ESPECIALLY the twangy stuff. I admire what it accomplished in the 90's tho.' It started from an ultimately disliked music to becoming another branch of pop music. I think Country music has evolved but ultimately stayed true to it's roots. It's artists are respectful to it's fans, music, and don't act like idiot, hateful children...unlike commercial rap. You don't see Country artists pushing lyrical poison music that doesn't relate 2 it's listeners or pushing out albums that only carry explicit lyrics stickers.
