  1. yo HAPPY BIRTHDAY man. I didn't even see this coming.
  2. Very very nice read. I lost the flow in a couple spots. I liked the 3rd verse best. Real good way to end it. Just outta curiousity, what song does Chuck D say that line that U quoted in ya song?
  3. Dirty Harry: A Few Dollars More - Track 8
  4. We're pointing this out becuz of how big a deal media and stuff will make of this and to be aware in how far they'll really take such a topic.
  5. Hey Brakes, did U know Houston godged (spelling?) his eye out? The media had been passing it off as an "attempted suicide".
  6. This Eminem VS Will Smith is bull. But people's remarks are so ridiculous, I get frustrated and can't even fix this problem everywhere I see it. EM's line really is being overlooked. Em's gotta cuss becuz of his image. Will doesn't becuz of the image he presented of himself. Most 1st impressions last 4ever. Will's got his. Em's got his. I look at Will as having fun with this "beef". Not "I'm gonna rip him to shreds and tear him a new butt-hole." If Will's suppose to truly get offended by that line, then shouldn't all of Em's fans/listeners as well? Totally over-blown. Look at our times today. A peace sign used to a hello/goodbye/wahtever method of talkin. Now it's the middle finger. (best reference would be 8 Mile) Maybe that's not an exact case, but pretty darn close. The ignorance of American Society is ridiculous as a whole. With no question, I am a Will Smith fan, and I will purchase 'Lost + Found'.
  7. Listening to - nothing right now btw, bigted, I have that track and will ahve to listen to it later. but my guess would probably be "If My Homies Call". but I'd have to hear that track again.
  8. Yo bigted, U know the video version they show, NaS has a 2nd verse. When I 1st heard it, I didn't like it too much. It's kinda growin' on me now. "Just A Moment" is my fav. track on Disc 1. "War" is my fav. track on Disc 2. Don't get me wrong, the whole album is great. Those R just two tracks I could listen to forever.
  9. I'm not sure if that's a proper title cuz not everybody's really bringin' an old school vibe. I think the title is pretty much what's in the topic.
  10. Go searchin for some demo beats or downloadin or such. Have U tried the beat makers such as Reason and stuff like that? Me, I couldn't cuz it was too difficult for me to use and I got slowed down from other programs.
  11. I hope they show a repeat of it. I really wanna see it. They need to make a "Best of NBA Dunk Contest" video/DVD.
  12. I love Pac's Interludes. Not too many artists do those nowadays. Anyway, I'm on 2pac & Snoop Dogg - WAnted Dead or Alive (Rosa Parks Remix)
  13. The last two are cool. U should make some for the L+F album to promote. Particular the one at the top of our Forum. :thumb:
  14. Was that on already? Man I missed it.
  15. OK, u wanna put it like that. I understand, but why is it U could only list the non-talent, all about the money, rap (and I use this term loosely) artists that most people get sick of. Maybe those were the first to come to mind. Rap would be NaS, Snoop Dogg, 2pac.... actually it's really hard to put some people in which ever genre. Whoever created or 1st found hip hop, ask them what the definiton is. Has it changed since it's arrived? And rap, what exactly is that? Maybe these two go hand in hand. But which came first, the chicken or the egg? Rap or hip hop. Some people would say "who cares? it's all music. let's just enjoy it." And doesn't it seem like even when hip hop first came out, the originators argue wanting a greater sole recognition for what they did? Look at our World's scientists. One comes up with formula a few months faster than the other. But they can share in the discovery, because of a difference in how it was found or result of it. Another thing that puzzles me is when I was reading in a mag(The Source), which I will probably never buy again, on Tupac, Young Buck said "I'd like to rap politically, but I already know what the outcome will be." <--- that is total bull. Look at Jadakiss. Naturally he did that to benefit himself. Is he shot and died... no. Same deal with "Wake Up". That got very little. That certain part of America, is like "U got freedom of speech, but look whose really listening to U." I was kinda offended when NaS got on track wit Jada and said what he said. Common is another, but he spoke on his behalf of what he thought, not to help out Jadakiss. As deep as the discussion goes with hip hop in these certain topics, why don't the actions as well?
  16. OK, by definition of the HARPERCOLLINS - Student Notebook (Webster's Dictionary)... Rap - rhythmic monologue performed to music. Hip-hop - pop culture movement involving rap music, graffiti, and break dancing.
  17. OK, it's the other way around. I just didn't know cuz SOM was before my time of really knowing and listening to hip hop music. Now U could've really gone off on me if I said "He's bitting Chingy's style" <--- that would be a really dumb statement. :kekeke: I just said sounds like him. Remember a couple us said "Da Brakes sounds a lil like E-40" Doesn't mean he bit him. Obviously cuz he didn't kno who he was.
  18. U should write everything down so u can find it whenever u want! :sonny: Or use the 'Members' link at the top of this wonderful JJFP Website.
  19. NaS - 2nd Childhood great lyrics and nice felt beat. one of my fav tracks on da album.
