sonic1988
I would like to know how long a company will track sales of a person's album. Also I would like to know how long an album is eligible for going gold or platinium.
Turntable
They dont stop doing it. Jive still checks how much "He`s The DJ,.." sells. U guess theystop whene every single copy is selled (they can achieve that if they stop printing them). They cant count the 2-cond hand ofcourse. Lerkot
Also I would like to know how long an album is eligible for going gold or platinium. Turntable answered the first question and this is the same, I think: forever. He's the DJ for example went 3x platinum in like 93 or something like that.. bigted
As long as the album's in circulation they check sales I'd reckon...
DevilsJim89
They always keep checking - you just don't see how many copies it sold every year since its not in the top 200 or something. "He's the DJ, I'm the Rapper" was certified 3x Platinum in 1995.
