  2. Hip hop could use some Beastie Boys...all the other good stuff I'm looking forward to is going to be serious stuff...We need some good old fashioned fun...
  3. That is one heck of a video! Thanks...And I'm so glad it looks like hip hop and not a crappy shoe commercial!
  4. Back in the bubble... A Tribe Called Quest - Push It Along
  5. Surprisingly well said Lerkot ... but I wouldn't replace the Wu since they were monumental in their own way. And regardless of what you say coming with complex rhyme schemes and punchlines requires skill...
  6. Of course not...I was just comparing two monumental tracks in order to exemplify my point...
  7. Now I love the clan...but really tracks like the message are still relevant as far as as skills go...it really captured the essence of hip hop...a similar thing can be said about C.R.E.A.M but both tracks are def G.O.A.T contenders...You don't have to be complex to have skills.
  8. True...Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five def deserved a high rank...
  9. I simply love that track! "tribe called quest represent" Slum Village feat Q-Tip - Hold Tight
  10. Wow, they actually have some fans here...go figure...
  11. Anybody who cares deserves to be shot.... :shakehead: Nah, that was harsh, but on the real, so....
  12. This is one heck of a list...replace UGK with Black Star (Mos Def + Talib Kweli) and play around with the orders a little and it's the same as mine.

  14. K-os - Catdiesel Wow...Chris wasn't kidding about this album...I was slowly gaining appreciation for experimentative hip hop like Outkast , Mos Def's second album and Gnarls Barkley...but I have to say this album epitomizes the dopeness in the sub-genre.
  15. That is great to hear...I absolutely love that song!
  16. Tupac had complexity, soul, humor, energy and visible education. But you know I love some of Tupac's stuff and I merely tolerate/dislike some of his others...This is because his lyrical content was inconsistent and he often came off as hypocritical, But Fresh From Sophia is right, it dosen't matter if he's the greatest, just enjoy his music...
