  1. Well said...it's what I was trying to say too, there is far too much propaganda in those clips...
  2. Nice to see John Legend holding it down there...too bad there's no hip hop artists enjoying as much success as their pop/Rock counterparts.
  3. Yeah I heard about this...I think it would be just as easy to show certain clips of Tupac, KRS, PE and Kweli and make hip hop look Godly...there is too much propaganda in those clips for me to take them seriously. But I like the fact they took the time to listen to Chuck D. Anyone check out Bryan Hurts new documentary puts much of this into perspective...
  4. When asked who he looks up to as a black role model...he gave a very interesting answer :wickedwisdom: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=De62x3Qt2Bg...com%2Frumors%2F You have to watch it till the very end to hear Redman...
  5. Yeah it is a confidence thing...girls usually tend to go for cats who seem to be in control of the situation, even if they end up treating others and the girl at hand like complete jerks. But more intelligent girls might mess with bad guys for a while but later do go for nice guys...I've never really seen too many bimbos with nice guys. So as long as you aren't aiming for getting those types of girls and exhibit self confidence and stay true to yourself there is hope for guys like us. I feel you tho'...I have problems with understanding the female state of mind too..but there are a couple of girls who do end up showing interest in me...so the situation isn't hopeless.
  6. I actually have their album "School was my hustle" they are definitely a dope group...their beats and rhymes are incredibly on point...there were a couple of filler tracks but the rest makes up for it...very different although it does have a certain amount of male posturing that somethimes clashes with the vibe of some of the tracks...
  7. Yeah it's like none of these rappers know how to have a laugh...or at least smile. Back in the old skool LL made a track about partying with cartoon characters...Biz wasn't afraid to poke fun at himself...JJFP/ Kid N Play/Slick Rick told some hillarious stories. It's not like I don't love my Wu-Tang's, early Mobb Deep's, LL's aggressive stuff but now it's like nobody's making fun records without the inclusion the stereotype of "sex, drugs and violence"...all the good hip hop available in the underground or mainstream is on some wise conscious tip...and I do love a lot of contemporary artists from Talib Kweli to Lupe but let's face it they will never make straight up comedy/story telling tracks.
  8. Sounds amazing...I'll have to pick it up. Always liked KOS...
  9. that's just some mix, right Speech - Like Marvin Gaye Said (WHATS GOIN ON) No both groups got together and did an actual song.
  10. System of A Down & Wu-Tang - Shame You haven't heard weird till you've hear this song!
  11. Wow! Nice List! Almost all my favorites were there with the exception of a little Wu-Tang and the reflection eternel and Black Star album...
  12. I'm going to pick it up...Jeff's mixing is always dope.
