1. "Stall or React”
Rap Song By Big Ted

Chorus:
Should I Stall or React?
Don't Doubt When I rhyme raw on the track
Every M.C. in this time wants to ball with gats
When will they see that I don't fall for them and their crap
And when will it be about the art of the rap?
Or does the charts get y'all gased?
I'm about ready for y'all to depart and fall back
I never stall, I always react
Y'all never ball when y'all lose shine to play against the glass

Verse One:
Y'all know the center of attention
Those defenders don't ever step in
When they get referred to as broke pretenders
That got nerve to question
And the ball on the court gets deflected
But they fall short to what they first did mention
Lookin' like lame ol' sports is worse than depressing
That mouth you overexert is never respected
It's out of bounds, not even worth an honorable mention
When you act foul, your hurt is never sparred against
You lookin' to prowl, but you're a scared bitch
Don't look foolish now, 'cause you've been scared from the beginning
No use of lookin' out when your spare is dead
It's easy to shoot out words of how you're lookin' now when your flare is careless
No desire to perform
Is expired for sure
Why don't you retire in your Hearse
You're wrong when your time's up and tryin' work is getting' you hurt
Don't even act like you're showin' progress
When your rap flow is nonsense
That goes as a plot wrecked
How can you go then act like you got sense
To go jot that rap like I'm the fool on your shot of a diss'
That's too easy of a plot to track, like a pot full of piss
Why you gotta enact that cock bull****
You can't blast at the jock rulin'
When your spot is ruined
And that's got somethin' to do with
Preperation instead of anticipation
When your basics is a discracement
There's no way that you're playin'
Up to a high level
When you know what's up and I'm the rebel
Who never reveals the same move
Over and over when I shoot the next day improved
The percentage for me is up
That means you're beat again, punk!
It's not my fault that you're gonna live in a slum
Across from the mansion that I'm set to run
And by the time you get your guns
Like you're set in your mind to shoot someone
You'll be labeled as a studio thug
'Cause what you say on a record is a big front
Your whole album is one big Hollywood stunt
Written all over it
Big Ted got ya cornered, bitch
There's no reflection
Of an artist's inflection
When there's no heart in the record
[Repeat Chorus]

Verse 2:
I've worked out too much
To look now as a screw punk
Is used to what
Peeps use to describe
The whole fuse of my vibe
Of course some of my enemies refuse to collide
In my scene without a useful mind
So there's a clearance you find
But others that possess the foolish pride
Are the ones that make it hard to survive
I'm not tryin' to act like the bigggest star all of the time
That brings hurt to my life
'Cause I'm not tryin' to be the bad guy
So, What do you plot to deceive and act out your damn mind?
I wish that you stop proceeding and be actin' out more civilized
Why can't you just kill ya pride?
When you know that you cant't be perfect in every way
Even Michael Jordan didn't hit all his fade aways
And other cats won championships when he played
I would be foolish to say
That everyday is bringin' me nothin' but winningful ways
Sometimes there's bitterness in my days
'Cause my weakness is my shame
And it's what I hide, 'cause I claim
That my confidance outweights my mistakes
I don't take for granted of my fame
'Cause I could break when a lot doesn't go my way
But I don't see my paradise bursting
My spot of the title I've claimed
The past's done
So the future has some
Mystery ahead for the victory I want
And it's key that I love
Being myself and I hope that my future seed comes from
Someone that respects who she is and what she does
'Cause my weakness that I possess is the need in my fiend for love
I wish I could find her, when everyone proceeds for the front
That's the answer for who questions what I really want
I rather be a rapper that has passion than being the rapper who's just blasting guns
Even though there's no attraction, it's more interacted
With the state of mind that I'm from
[Repeat Chorus Until End Of Song]
2.
the last video I saw was Nas "Thief's Theme". Which was actually good. Becuz of Nas's age and knowledge, that video is acceptable 2 me. I'm lookin foward 2 his album. I have all of em. Jadakiss's "Why" seems fake 2 me.
No matter what Nas does he always seems to be miles ahead of the average M.C., I enjoy "Thief's Theme" as well. I get the feeling that Jadakiss did that video "Why" 4 popularity 'cause never before was he ever a conscious m.c., his album went #1 on the Billboard charts last week, but I bet none of the other tracks on the album have anything to do with "Why"'s theme, I don't know 'cause I haven't jumpeed on the Jadakiss bandwagon, but I hear some of his tracks on mixtapes that I occassionally buy(I don't even buy 'em that much anymore 'cause a lot of songs are mixtapes these days are garbage) and he always talks about shooting somebody and smokin' a dutch, never anything relevant! :nhawong: He got a lot of skills but like other m.c.'s like Eminem and Jay-Z he uses his talent the wrong way!
3. When MC Hammer was growing up he was assistant general manager for the Oakland A's, Rickey Henderson mentioned that a couple of years ago in an ESPN interview and he said that MC Hammer was very much involved with the team when he was there by packing the team equipment, handing players meal money, and handling of the team's lineup card. Of course they show that in a couple shows that AJ mentioned, I bet he had a lot of fun working with a major league baseball team! There ain't too many entertainers coming out these days that know how to dance, it's becoming a lost art, 'cause James Brown is in his 70's(there's controversey over his age he's 76 years old right now, though he'll tell u that he's 71 :kekeke: ) and he still has more moves that these young cats comin' out these days don't so i guess he ain't gonna retire from doing shows until he drops 'cause he's still performing, sure Usher got moves but I think that his dance style is too similar to Michael Jackson's to call it creative, MJ and James Brown are immortal when it comes to their skills, but all the troubles they've had wit the law has hurt them image wise.
4. I'm not a huge MC Hammer fan but I think that he's a lot better than a lot of the talentless rappers out right now and he should be back in the game. He's a minister like KRS-ONE right? I thought it was wack that a lot of people called him a sell out when he was helping other people out. Most rappers are selfish people that don't help people out so they shouldn't diss MC Hammer 'cause at least he has heart, he's not the greatest rapper, but he's a good person for the rap game.
5. I wrote a verse recently that's very similiar to the theme that ur talkin' about, I guess great minds think alike! :thumb: Peep this:
"It all comes from a down moment
Hypocrite bums are now folding
'Cause they thought the spotlight would shine out bright on them
For all eternity, words are deadly
Y'all ask for mercy, but your ass is hurting
Those below you, they won't console you
When they find their way ahead
And your spotlight blurs away slipping
You can break in a minute
When I finish this sentence
It's gonna be the beginning of ya ending
And all our clocks are ticking
Every moment we're living
We shouldn't take for granted
'Cause love ones today are passing
For somebody, we see them dying in war in a gas tank
That exploded by a terroist
We're losing our own fellow Americans
And our worldwide friends
That are humans beings tryin' to be livin'
In peace but that's a trajedy to swallow again
A daughter that isn't comin' home to her parents
A brother that went over to try to make a livin'
All the sacrifices are blessings
'Cause they died to give us protection
But yet we m.c's always talk bout the ice on our neck
Or all the shine on our wrists
Talkin' like a bunch of children
Why do we have to lie in illness?
Let's put the line on what we're building
By making a perfect plan
Getting the momentum in ya hand
Is what seperates the wisdom from a boy to a man"

It would be great to see more rappers speak their minds like we do, more people will wanna listen to hip-hop than they do now if this happens! :dj:
