I've got Kanye's back on this one. I can't agree that he's got no rapping skillz...u have 2 check out more than just a couple of his trax. Imagine if someone came here and judged Will's talent on the mic with "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It"...haha...we'd obviously tell them 2 buy the album and check him out. That's how it is with Kanye. "All Falls Down" may not show his skillz, but check out his album...it's genious.

Yeah, Kanye is actually an amazing emcee. I never thought he waz that great, he SEEMED 2 be just another one of those wack rappers out there, but then I actually sat down and listened 2 what he had 2 say...and he surprised me. All his singles so far have been dope with positive lyrics "Jesus Walks"...wow. This waz the track that made up my mind about Kanye West being a dope emcee. "So here goes my single dawg, radio needs this they say u could rap about anything except 4 Jesus that means guns, sex, lies, videotape but if I talk about God my record won't get played - huh?" Yo ted, I don't think he's really popular cuz of Jay-Z...I mean he did help him, but Kanye is a well-known producer and I think that's what really made him popular first. He's done trax 4 Alicia Keys on Diary of Alicia Keys, Mos Def, Twista, Janet Jackson...the list just goes on and on. He's a refreshing change from all the on the radio, and like Will, u have 2 admire his positivity and skill on the mic.

I remember seeing that trailer of his on the other board. Someone posted a few pix, and it's HUGE. It had a recording studio and about 4 bedrooms. It costed him a mad amount of money...but u know Will, he can afford it.

Hopefully he's still working on the album in that trailer!

Yeah, I think the main reason 4 the delay in the last battle waz cuz people were 2 busy. The people that sign up need 2 confirm that they can actually participate in it. The other big delay i saw waz people getting their votes in. We need 2 get them in 2 whoever is in charge of the votes A.S.A.P. Everything has 2 go smoothly 4 these battles 2 work and be over quickly. People being busy, delay with the votes, not enough judges, etc...these are all factors that slow down the battle.

I'm glad he didn't do the track...this thing with Eminem would have went on forever if they recorded it.

That's a pretty stupid list. Many songs on there aren't bad at all. They may not be hot right now, but they were big at the time and people loved them. :dunno:

It's true...I never even would have thought it would be 2004, and what it would be like... As we move further and further away from the 90's, I feel like we're not going anywhere. It's still "2000" 4 me...my greatest memories are in the 90's.

Summertime. It's funny cuz that's the only slow and smooth type of song on the album...I don't think any other track on Homebase even resembles Summertime. It's unique, and it actually showed a different side of JJ+FP at the time. :dancingcool:
