  5. Did Will Smith Movie Cost Restaurant Staff A Paycheck? LOS ANGELES, Calif. (August 22, 2007) – Will Smith’s new movie is (quite literally) bringing traffic to a stand still in LA, however reports it also caused an entire restaurant staff to miss out on a week’s worth of work may not be what they appear. Will’s new action thriller “Hancock” (co-starring Charlize Theron) is filming in various parts of Los Angeles. And according to one report, while the crew is shooting scenes inside Café Pinot, the entire staff at is losing out on work, beginning on Monday and running through Thursday of this week. However contrary to other reports, Access Hollywood has learned Café Pinot did not, in fact, send their employees home without pay during the shoot. Instead, the days Will and the crew were filming became optional work days for the staff. A rep for the Patina Restaurant Group (which owns the swanky Cafe Pinot) released the following statement to Access Hollywood: “Patina Restaurant Group respects its staff and makes them the utmost priority. Regarding this particular story, inaccurate information has been disseminated. The staff at Cafe Pinot were given the opportunity to take available shifts, as there is a need for staff during the filming days. Staff members that wanted to work were able to take these shifts, and many opted take advantage of the filming days to take vacation. Restaurant management directly responds to any questions and concerns raised by the staff, and we always encourage our staff to bring their concerns to management or human resources, so that we can address any issues.” The studio was not immediately available for comment. So while Will avoided a restaurant uproar, sadly, the film will soon be the cause of some more major traffic delays in the LA area, specifically near the perennially congested LAX airport. The studio has announced it will shut down sections of the 105 freeway while an elaborate chase sequence is filmed on Saturday and Sunday. http://www.accesshollywood.com/news/ah6555.shtml
  6. There's a reason Alfonso Ribeiro has remained a sidekick for so many years; remembah "Silver Spoons?!" When the spotlight is aimed at Al -- he loses his audience -- fast! *yawn* Spotted outside of Koi in L.A. last night with 20-year-old race car driver Marco Andretti, the odd couple posed for photogs. While Marco posed for a couple of pictures and retreated to the background to hang with some pretty ladies, Alfonso continued to ham, and then ham it up some more for cameras. This guy is cornier than Carlton! He's the squarest dude on earth! Then again, there's always Wayne Brady. http://httwww.tmz.com/2007/08/21/alfonso-r...nce-of-hot-air/ He has changed a lot over the years.

  8. More info. http://www.tmz.com/2007/08/21/will-films-while-staff-chills/ I can't understand why they blame him. :shakehead:
  9. You can see it here, but it's only in Spanish. :sipread: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekveD9J4vAs
  10. In the late nineties I was just a child, Brakes! :lolsign: Anyway I know what you mean dude, and probably you are right. :1-say-yes:
  11. Julie, I've been on ws.com since May 2005, I registered there as a member last September tho. I know it was better long time ago (I still remember the "Tell Me Why" thread when Jonny made the video), so I think I know what I'm saying. I'm just trying to keep a good relationship between the two sites, that's all.
  12. Thank u very MUCH Big Willie, and thanks to BWF01 too. :wickedwisdom:
  13. No problem Tim. I appreciate your words. :2thumbs:
  14. Thanks dude. I know what you mean VIsqo, it's all good.
  15. There are interesting topics on there: there is info about Will everydays, there are rap battles, there are good members trying to improve the site... I know there should be moderators to delete spam and all that, but in spite of this we like the site, cos we have good times on there. I'm a bit fed up of seeing comments made by sum people like "ws.com is not a good site, jjfp.com is better", while those people still visit ws.com. How can a person be so hypocrite? If you don't like ws.com, don't go back again, but I don't want to see people saying ws.com is not a cool place because it is for some of us, including me.
  16. Well not everyone is as intelligent as you, and maybe most people who come to that site don't know too much about Will, but people on this board should stop criticizing ws.com because there are good people on there, and when there are problems they should help instead of saying "ws.com sucks". That's all I've got to say.
  17. What Are They Up To? Tatyana Ali of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Tatyana Ali got her break on the series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air as Ashley Banks. She portrayed the daughter of Philip Banks (James Avery), the sister of Hilary, Carlton, and Nicky, and Will Smith's younger cousin. Throughout the series, her father tried to meddle in her life so she didn't became anything like regular teenagers. However, she became fascinated with Will's exciting and liberated lifestyle, which eventually turned her into a rebel. After all the mischief, she was able to gain a sense of maturity and decided to attend a performing arts school by the end of the series. In the coming months, the 28-year-old actress will be featured in several drama films and will be reprising her role in a comedy sequel. On September 5, the former Prince of Bel-Air actress will be returning to the big screen with Nora's Hair Salon II, a follow-up on the 2004 independent comedy film written by Chanel Capra and Jean-Claude La Marre. Once again, she'll be playing Lilliana, along with La Marre, Bobby Brown and Stacey Dash. Moreover, Tatyana Ali will be featured in Hotel California, a film about loyalty, betrayal and revenge. She stars as Jessie in a story about a man who returns with an explosive encounter with his former partners in a rundown hotel to reclaim what is rightfully his. The movie stars Raymond J. Barry (Born on the Fourth of July) and Erik Palladino (ER). Following Prince of Bel-Air, Tatyana Ali briefly focused her attention to her singing career. Marking her musical debut was the album Kiss the Sky, which was released in 1998. Though her album spawned several hit singles and even became gold in early 1999, she became more active in the field of acting, and pursued TV and movie projects. Some of her credits included Kiss the Girls, The List, and Glory Road. Most recently, she appeared in the short films Wilted, How To Have A Girl, The Malibu Myth and First Sight, which were showcased on the reality show On the Lot. http://www.buddytv.com/articles/the-fresh-...na-al-9073.aspx
